Chowke is there stage left out of view. I am waiting for him to speak, lie, and then hopefully called out for his lies.
Isn't funny, When the STATE took over the water treatment plant, none of those city democRATS was invited to the press conference!!!!! Its going to up to the STATE of MISSISSIPPI REPUBLICAN LEADERS to go in and get this mess straight that the city of Jackson could not!!!!!!!!!!
Andy is there, but without his 10-gallon hat! That is newsworthy!
Andy is smerking big time while explaining that the fairgrounds well is being used to provide water. Chowke is off camera at stage left getting bitch slapped.
What's that weird look on Tater's face? Struggling to hold it in? I went to the water pod on lakeland this morning... only a couple of cars going through in the course of 15 minutes. Enjoy the chest bumping show... if they do it right, Biden just might send enough money to fix the entire system... gonna be a lot of money for Shad to chase!
All of that free money from WDC will be a great windfall for condo sales in Oxford and the Redneck Riviera, and also F-150/BMW/Tesla sales.
Can someone ask Tater if he knows how to fix potholes…
Seriously though. Governor Reeves is so knowledgeable about water systems, Federal response, water safety, etc. It is so refreshing after listening to Da Mair say platitudes over and over.
Chuckles timed the end of his personal pressers to fit nicely into disappearing to party in Miami over the Labor Day Weekend. A three day 5 star drunk, free of charge. "R and R" for Antar.
I'd have Tater schedule one during KickOff time for the OBC and preempt coverage while asking for The Mair to speak....."Oh, is Mayor Lumumba here??? What???? Oh, uh, he seems to be indisposed, folks....."
Chowke and his "Operational Unity". Where does he come up with this shit? Is it found in the Marxist Playbook under "O" or "U"?
Hey Tater...How soon do you think it will be before you start addressing the crime problem in Jackson?
LOL LOL LOL
Donner now claiming via Twitworld that water bills going unpaid in Jackson is a "racist rumor."!!!!!
LOL LOL LOL
Chowke must have had his "right?" speech generator turned off, at least turned down.
The Facebook comments on the WLBT page are probably 10-1 in favor of Lumumba, many blaming the governor for the problem to begin with and most crediting the mayor for the state stepping in to help with the problem. I understand that a lot of those replies are agitators from other areas just trying to stir shit up but many of them appear to be Jackson residents. I'd think the city government has succeeded, at least among the FB posters, in giving the credit to the mayor.
Thank you, Governor. Thank you everyone else who has helped. Please go away Mayor Dumbass. You have done NOTHING.
So when Da Mair's plane flies over OBC one has to wonder if he'll be laughing on his way to his city paid vacay in Miami.
"So long Sucka!!" - Da Mair
When someone who gives a shit and is around the area talks about this problem, the solutions and plans seem to make more sense.
The Mayor rubbing his knees saying thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus, thank you thank you thank you Jesus.
12:58, I think all that says is who still watches local free tv.
Now do the airport…
Why does CBS News go to Donna Ladd for her version of what is going on with our current crisis? She just brings out her same old trope about systemic racism, white flight, Ronald Regan etc. The only thing that surprised me was that she did not blame Lee Atwater (who has been dead for 30 years) and his Republican Southern Strategy.
In fact, I don't think Donna has left her house in Belhaven since the pandemic began. Why is she considered an expert about what is going on in Jackson?
She was joined at the hip w Harvey. He could do no wrong yet he and his friends blew up the billing system.
12:56 that’s part of the shuck and jive playbook he uses for his mayor only pressers when he thinks he can bullshit his way to the end.
Thank God for Joe Biden.
Joe made the state act with incentives.
No vitriol from Taint is nice to see.
And no trump is even better
America is awesome!
The person who wins the public relations battle (regardless of truth), tends to be the one who gets their story out first; who speaks loudest and most boldly; who is most attractive and charismatic; and whose narrative is most closely aligned with the belief system of their dominant constituency. The mayor has clearly done that, either by design or happenstance (though the former would require a level of strategic wit and planning I doubt he possesses). His regular appearances on national news outlets decrying the lack of state government support, and even distain for the predominantly black city of Jackson, Ms, have helped to shape the national narrative. Straight from the political playbook endorsed and accepted in recent years. However, it appears the Mayor may now be LISTENING to those who are advising he "let up" on the blame game. Its not a good look, especially when those you've criticized and blamed for your inaction and incompetence, are the ones who have had to come in, take the reigns and address the problem. The addition of a former news reporter has likely helped with the public relations approach and media contacts. To his credit, the Governor appears to be mostly staying out of the game. However, people who choose to reason and look at the whole picture can discern the truth of who did or did not do what; whose responsibility it was; and who should be held accountable. Will our voices be loud and bold enough to advocate for truth and integrity, letting the chips fall where they may? Or, will we continue in the vein of partisan, racial and divisive opinions promoted by those whose primary objective is self promotion, rather than what is best for the people they were elected to serve. Unfortunately, this behavior is not unique to the Mayor. We've witnessed the same game being played out on the national level for several years now. Enough already! Let's call wrong "wrong" whether the offender looks like us or is our political ally. We won't get better as a society until we do!
Just went to Smith Wills Stadium, one of the National Guard locations for water. Breathtaking to see something run perfectly. Drive in, pull up, 2 packs of water put in car, drive out. God bless them. For anyone needing bottled water or anyone helping elderly, go to the National Guard locations.
