Ridgeland police are seeking to arrest Justin Cody Carr after he alleged shot several rounds in front of Walk-On's Sunday night.
Some patrons were doing shots at their table and as can happen when shots are involved, they became a little rowdy as they kept trying to get their waitress to do shots with them. The young woman refused but the knuckleheads continued to press her. Patrons at an adjacent table told them to stop harassing the waitress. The shooters didn't appreciate such a fine display of chivalry so things got out of hand until management tossed the offenders.
Beaten but not broken, the now former patrons decided to show the establishment who was in charge of this particular scene so they drove in front of the restaurant on Highland Colony Parkway and fired several shots up in the air. No one was injured.
Ridgeland police issued an arrest warrant for discharging a firearm in the city limits and exhibiting a weapon in a threatening manner. The charges are misdemeanors. He does not have any prior criminal history in Ridgeland.
A Hinds County grand jury indicted Carr twice for aggravated assault a decade ago but the District Attorney withdrew the indictments.

I was wondering why this establishment was not full on this past Sunday on the first NFL Sunday of the season. Now, I know why.
shots on shots on shots
The suburbs and the State will just continue to bury their head in the sand and pretend like the Jackson crime isn't coming to their areas.
Walk-ons is a hangout for drunks. The parking lot is full at 2:30 in the afternoon on workdays.
Nice restaurant, good food. Clientele sketchy. Location too close to da hood. No meal is worth catching a round over.
It’s very telling how you choose when you will give a physical description of the alleged.
Walk-Ons doing the shitshow speed run.
Knucklehead, I report what law enforcement tells me. Period. You didn't say jack when I reported several arrests of white folks and posted their mug shots. Very telling.
In this case, I submitted an open records request with Ridgeland. The report I was given only said shots were fired at that location and the police were called. I am working on getting more information. It will probably become available when an arrest is made. I'm sorry I ruined your Black Panther Party.
Yeah kingfish. We don’t need a description if you include the mugshot. Absolute genius!
Let's see, two shooting incidents, by St Andrew's and CostCo.
"GAME DAY WITH A TASTE OF LOUISIANA, TM"
Exactly. The taste of the 9th Ward, swirled in some sawce from the sewer grates of Bourbon Street at 2 am.
I'll pass. Maybe CostCo can start selling body armor to cover the serpentine run through the parking lot.
Kingfish, isn't this the second incident involving firearms at this location?
Thank you Ridgeland city council. How much longer before someone is murdered for your allowing this joint north of County Line. M Bar all over.
I was there Sunday night. They were your typical thugs, probably from Jackson. Real assholes. Management should have 86th them much sooner. They could have easily pulled a piece inside the business.
This is why I make my jambalaya and gumbo at home, locked and loaded, safe from the thuggery that is now in Ridgeland.
Thanks KF.
I got a kick out of the Forrest Gump line.
If you do anything to minorities to prevent the escalation, you are racist.
If you don't do anything, decent paying customers will refuse to patronize.
And servers will refuse to work there too, if this kind of customer behavior becomes the norm.
The restaurant biz is tough as it is, but this kind of press is straight up brutal.
Hope this doesn't stop TopGolf from coming to Ridgeland.
Ridgeland should have never allowed this type of restaurant to locate on Highland Colony Parkway so close to beautiful residential areas, Costco and the Renaissance.
Was there watching saints play and as I pulled up 5 or 6 motorcycles were in parking lot and hoodlums were yelling at another person in a Dodge Charger revving up his engine and another was changing clothes in parking lot. It was wierd
@ 2:02 why did you stay there?
Ridgeland needs to boot this place ASAP.
It's not Walkons fault. You open your doors and people come in. When they saw bad behavior, they threw them out. It is our society and their use of guns as an answer to everything. Every establishment is going to have to become like the airports with body scanners. We can't have anything nice. Pitiful.
Exhibiting a weapon in a threatening manner may just be a misdemeanor, but it can damn sure affect your ability to get a decent job for many years. That’s not a conviction you want showing up on your preemployment background check. What a loser.
And shame on management for failing to intervene on their employee’s behalf. Protecting your employees is your job, not the other customer’s. Doesn’t matter if they call you a racist or anything else. Stand up for what’s right.

You know I've never heard anything out of the Hattiesburg location, but I think that's because it's not sandwiched between Jackson and Jackson Jr. (aka Canton).
@3:07pm These damn Jackson criminals don't care about "decent jobs."
Doing a search he may be from Brandon.
It all started over a decade ago when yall let Butler Snow and Mayor Magee do that spot zoning. That was the end of saying no to anything anywhere.
I have found it very hard to tell where criminals are from in the past.
Most just "stay at" places.
Don't necessarily "live" there (by ownership).
The place is gonna have to hire off duty cops (as in more than one) to sit in the parking lot. It’s a necessary expense in that location.
Every other location in the southeast is booming and has good food. Those commenting on “this type of establishment” are idiots.
Raise prices and charge for parking. And have cops cruise though checking tags for warrants and stolen cars.
Maybe their liquor license could be revoked?
Hey mayor Magee and city council get your head out! Shut it down!
fount him on quick facebook search....
Dunno about evening clientele. I'll say the salmon I had there for lunch recently was really, really good.
Hire security guard to be there from 3:00 until closing Thursday through Sunday.
NFL,NBA, Big Screen, Alcohol.. what could possible go wrong?
If this place would simply hire former employees of Hooters and Twin Peaks and have them dress similarly...it would be a Perfect Storm.
Motorcycles, tequila shots, gunfire, cleavage, booty, bar-anger, scratching off in the parking lot, patrons drinking out of paper sacks, outside, mid-day...I mean, Dayum and Yo Momma...What else could you ask for? It's an industrial and community development dream. And Gene and D.I. are all about development, right.
Just like the M-Bar, this place should be shut down.
Come on mayor, city council. Tell us how your tough on crime. I need a chuckle today.
I'm glad I grew up in the 70's and 80's. This state and country is a shit show. I grew up with nothing and still have most of it...
The suburbs and the State will just continue to bury their head in the sand and pretend like the Jackson crime isn't coming to their areas.
Oh gracious - people are actually using firearms in the vicinity of our precious suburbs, what shall we do?
Tate Reeves: I am going to have a tax-free weekend on firearm and ammo purchases. And while we are at it, I will make it easier for Mississippians to carry firearms without any licensure and/or training. Remember, I am good ol' boy from Rankin County too
Arrested May 07, 2016
• #1 dui first/subsequent penalties
• #2 *disregard traffic control sig
• #3 no insurance
• #4 seat belt vio
I agree that "this type of establishment" is not the problem. They do well most locations.
Neither are inanimate objects/weapons.
This is a shitty person problem. And sadly we have those in spades.
And he was arrested again in July 2016 for another DUI and driving with a suspended license.
You suckers who moved there 20 years ago will have to move to Grenada next. You elected the same type of (white) idiots that Jackson did in the 80s and 90s. Enjoy your Costco while it’s open. You know Jackson had two Sams Clubs at one time.
