He just can't help himself. Carlos is clowning yet again. The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported:
The city of Oxford and its police chief have asked a federal judge to throw out a lawsuit that blames them for a former policeman shooting and killing his mistress....
The civil suit was filed Aug. 5 by the family of Dominique Clayton and names the city of Oxford, Chief McCutchen and former officer Matthew Kinne as defendants. Kinne, 40, pleaded guilty to capital murder on July 30 in Clayton’s death. He was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole by Circuit Court Judge Kent Smith.
One of the principle arguments of the lawsuit is that Kinne's first wife died under mysterious circumstances, and although her death was ruled a suicide, Kinne was a suspect and was forced to resign from the Olive Branch Police Department. The complaint, authored by Grenada-based attorney Carlos Moore, further argued that Oxford knew about Kinne's past and hired him anyway.
Wow (in a George Noory voice). Horrific, if true. Just one problem:
"If Clayton's counsel had conducted the required pre-suit investigation, it easily would have been learned that Kinne's ex-wife did not commit suicide and is in fact very much alive," Butler wrote.
Butler said he quickly found evidence in court records that the first wife was alive well after Kinne was arrested in May 2019 for Clayton's death. He called the argument "undisputedly false."
Butler added that Moore was previously warned by courts for filing suit without conducting a "reasonable inquiry into the facts." Instead Butler says, the lawsuit tries to pass off hearsay as facts by sprinkling the familiar state court phrase "upon information and belief."... Rest of article
This is not the first time Mr. Moore has pulled such a stunt. The question is what will the Court do about it.

Carlos doesn't care...he is too busy rubbing elbows with other minorities in DC...see his LinkedIn post and comments!
The City should seek Rule 11 sanctions against the clown.
The Clown and Baby Chowke are both licensed lawyers. What could go wrong?
Baby Chowke even graduated in 3-years and passed the bar exam the first time. If you didn't know that, no problem, because he will tell you.
It's so easy even a childish narcissist and a bottom feeder can do it.
Judge Clown was only alleging wrongful death. He just got confused between life and death. A reasonable mistake caused by pesky facts.
Minor oversight....
Just shows all the other MS attorneys what kind of BS they can get away with without fear of losing your license. Disbar this clown.
Carlos Moore is doing just fine. Do I detect envy?
So he's not the smartest guy in the room. Big deal. This is Mississippi, we are at the bottom of the heap intelligence-wise, professional qualification-wise. Get over it.
Nobody is bitching that the cop in question murdered a woman while in uniform, with his service pistol. That moron could get a job. Why not Carlos? Why not hold the hiring process accountable, that allowed this extremely low rent person to flourish?
A far worse crime than killing the woman was actually being on the clock to fraternize with her and doing it -- squandering bodily fluids. How could he do such a thing? A true failure of aesthetic sensibility. The horror! The horror!
When you run out of stuff to do, here's an opinion to read. State v. Clayton, 652 So. 2d 720 (1995). The poor woman had been on borrowed time since her infancy. You want to blame poor Carlos Moore for what? Being a lawyer for bottom-feeders?
Get over it. Go to law school, med school, engineering school. Do something, anything, except quit whining.
@10:49am - I would say thanks for stopping by, Carlos, but he can’t write that well so I guess I’ll say: Thanks for stopping by Carlos’ law clerk.
Most attorneys practice law with their eyes wide open worrying about rules and ethics and all those things that keep them from getting rich. But a select few, like Carlos practice pinata law. If you are familiar with the Mexican tradition of the pinata you understand that you must be blindfolded and you cannot win the prizes in the pinata unless you keep swinging your bat. Sooner or later you will strike the pinata and then....Woopeee! Keep swinging Carlos! And keep those eyes shut.
The "Cochran" firm run by RSS, the Clown, and now Winston Thompson who was hit for over $1,000,000 for legal malpractice- I never knew Johnny Cochran but I do believe he was well thought of- He must be rolling over in his grave due to their tarnishing his legacy-
The Oxford police/sheriff department should be sued over this case. I hope the murdered victims children will benefit from the funds, go to law school and drive Oxford into dirt! The police were aware of his affair with this woman and tried to cover for him just to many mistakes by Officer Kinne. Has JJ covered any of the story, other than dampening the story will by using Carlos as a distraction. Post the real story of how lucky Officer Kinne is. It was capital murder but his friends helped him out. Disgusted by our state.
Qualified Immunity really creates, supports, and encourages the criminal element of law enforcement, elected officials, judges, state employees, etc. just like spoiled rich kids, parents keep bailing them out but just creating more confidence for lil brat in getting away with whatever they want, even murder. Who is to blame when those with qualified immunity escalate their criminal actions? It would be difficult as a parent to take responsibility. In this case the judges want to act as the bad parents. Ultimately bad parenting comes back to bite you. Abolish qualified immunity

"Carlos Moore is doing just fine."
No, just no. Anyone who has ever had a case with Carlos knows he's not "doing just fine." But he'll be quick to tell you about his credentials.
Normally I bash this guy.
But I am starting to think he is a hero.
If the MS Bar is so impotent and accepting of this behavior from their own, good for him for exploiting them.
Clowns get rich and never face consequences while chumps like me work within the much less lucrative lines of decency.
