The youngsters at Chateau Ridgeland need your help for a Roaring 20's party:
We are having a Roaring 20’s “Speakeasy” themed party this Friday for our residents at Chateau Ridgeland, an independent living community in Ridgeland. Many of our residents want to dress up for the party, but do not have costumes or a way to get them. We are hoping someone may have some costumes or accessories they may would like to donate? Men typically wore suspenders, slacks, and a simple white button-down. Vests, bowties, fedoras or cabbie caps were uses to accessorize. Women wore fringed flapper dresses, accessorized with long strings of pearls, head bands and head dresses with beads and feathers, and feather boas. Donations can be dropped of at Chateau Ridgeland, 745 S. Pear Orchard Dr. Ridgeland, MS 39157, or they can call or email me and I can make other arrangements if needed.

So they throw a party, knowing beforehand that their residents don't have costumes or the means to get them? I'm highly confused. This sounds like high school.
Also, fun fact: people in the 1920's wore whatever they had without any special intent. Just like in the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's and today.
Not funny. Show some respect.
2:38: You are a douchebag.
To 2:38 Anonymous.... your comment sounds like high school. Seriously... Did I miss the part where it said the party was a costume party and costumes were expected? And your condescending “fun fact”...did you miss the part where it said it is a roaring 20’s speakeasy theme? Looks like you made yourself look like an ass while trying to make someone else look like an ass. Irony huh? To the original poster, I will drop by some items for your senior citizens to use tomorrow!!
Agree with 9:19, but hopefully no one will break a hip. Have fun kids.
Sounds fun for our elders and beats a "Spring Break" theme. I know of a person who may still have this type wardrobe......but I haven't been in contact for some time. I will look in it.
