The city of Jackson issued the following statement.
Tomorrow
morning, Monday, June 7, 2021, the City of Jackson’s contractor will
begin work to replace the temporary
pump at the Siwell Road Well with a new pump. The contractor will also
have an additional crew onsite to take the temporary pump currently in
use at the Siwell Road Well and install it at the TV Road Well.
A precautionary boil water notice will be issued tomorrow morning for the impacted areas when the Siwell Road Well is taken offline from the temporary pump.
The City would like to remind residents to start preparing for low water pressure or no water pressure beginning tomorrow morning and lasting throughout the day until both wells are placed back in service. The City also requests that residents continue to conserve water to help reduce demand on the entire Jackson Maddox Well System.
The Jackson Maddox Well System serves approximately 16K well water connections primarily in South Jackson and the City of Byram. It is estimated that approximately 2,000 connections have been impacted by recent disruptions at the Siwell Road and TV Road wells.

Who thinks this reminder will have an effect on the Jackson water customers please raise your hand.
Why the musical pumps? Why not just install the new pump at TV Road?
"The City would like to remind residents to start preparing for low water pressure or no water pressure"
I'm pretty sure the residents stay prepared for that.
The only thing that exceeds the number of boil water notices are murders.
