Sounds like they may need a laywer

I've dealt with some shady lawyers, is it possible to get disbarred?
I can assure you that it is much harder to get disbarred as an attorney than it is to lose or have your medical (dental) license revoked or suspended. Did you know you can practice law after being convicted of income tax fraud.
Actually you can have a drug problem, be the subject of bar complaints, and voila, go through rehab and never lose your license or face a disciplinary hearing. Meanwhile, doctors and dentists......
Just a simple series of misunderstandings, your honor.
I hear it is far easier to get away with shenanigans if you’re a member of the NBA than it is if you are a member of the ABA.
What do you expect when you have crooks, "policing" themselves?
Regarding all these comparisons between lawyers and doctors, do we actually need to point out the different interests at stake in being a client of a bad lawyer and a patient of a bad doctor?
Most lawyers are not members of the ABA.
Ineffective lawyers could get you killed just as dead as bad doctorin' can.
@ 11:24
It’s an equally serious situation any time either one has you by the balls.
Other than defendants charged with a capital crime, name a realistic situation in which a bad lawyer can cost a client their life. Emphasis, please, on "realistic," not "delusional persecution complex."
11:25 it is not always that the ABA bars lawyers.
1:58, it's never the ABA that bars lawyers. The ABA has no authority to bar lawyers whatsoever. It is not a licensing agency, it's a trade association. I was responding to an inapt comparison that assumed all lawyers belong to the ABA like all pro basketball players belong to the NBA.
ABA has lost most of its membership. Too liberal
The ABA has lost members due to its leftist agenda. To gain members, the ABA has wisely included CLE in its memberships. I have been an ABA member for about 1/2 of the time licensed. I can live without it. And, I note with humor the ABA touts the big firms that have 100% of their lawyers enrolled as members...as if lawyers or clients are supposed to be impressed.
What say ye ABA members?

11:00: I actually, literally laughed out when I read that. Thanks.
12:55pm, when you count suicides caused as the results of action or inaction by lawyers, I bet they rival med malpractice deaths….and lawyers do it intentionally.
7:43, that is totally made up. Ludicrous.
Just one person's opinion (however, that person has a Yale JD, so...), but other than self-reported errors combined with self-correction and satisfactory restitution, if I were a citizen, I'd want to know why there is a "private reprimand" for things that affect the public.
A competent professional doesn't hide from their mistakes and doesn't fear a full disclosure of same. Of course, this is the MS Bar, by, for, and of the plurality of MS attorneys, so I'm not expecting...anything.
How many "private reprimands" was in the document?
Glad to see the Bar covering up the dirt on their own.
Imagine, if you will, a state attorney general who has never been in a court room.
