You and your child are stranded in floodwaters for several days and manage to survive. You are tired, cold, and hungry, oh, and traumatized. So you get off the bus and BOOM!, a CNN reporter shoves a microphone right in your face. How do you think this ended?

Well, KellyAnne, you should watch BBCAmerica or MSNBC if you don't want to see victims interviews. They don't do as many. Or watch the 30 minute to 1 hour news shows. Both CNN and FOX have made their 24/7 popularity 0n interviewing ordinary people in stressful situations and ordinary people who have nothing relevant to contribute to news subject other than their bias.
If people didn't watch and want to rubberneck disasters and tragedies, maybe they'd go off the air.
I'm not surprised it didn't occur to KellyAnne that those with relatives and friends in Houston might be glad to see that the person they are worried about has been rescued.
Since reporters showing up at the door when times are bad is our reality, all of us should learn to say, I don't want to be on television and of course, " no comment".
And,maybe, using a tragedy for political fodder isn't exactly civilized either.
"ordinary people who have nothing relevant to contribute to news subject other than their bias. "
So, a distraught person who has just survived having his/her house completely destroyed is showing "their bias"?
Got it.
She was distraught.
Cnn reporter was empathetic and willing to stop.
Overblown by trumpers hate for all cnn
Pathetic
hello CNN.... strap this one on. when you start taking questions, there is no guarantee you are gonna like the answers.
CNN is useless.
Don't care for CNN but come on. All the outlets do this and the fact is that America wants to see what is going on. Interviews, especially in stressful situations, can help bring resources and help to the victims. So it is a double edged sword. No story here.
I agree with 8:31.
The women agreed to an interview and that microphone in her face.
Then she got emotional.
That's not the reporter's fault when someone agrees to be on camera, but the reporter handled it as best she could.
I think this video would have gotten more clicks if someone had overdubbed Russian music in the background.
CNN asked if they could interview her. It is not their fault she decided she did not want to be interviewed anymore.
I agree with 8:31.
Sure you do. You must think JJ readers are stupid.
I live for the day when some displaced person yucks it up and satires the reports telling them that today is the best day of their life
I still kinda like the floating fire ants island picture & the the discussion if the ants float on top of dead ant or how the physic of water surface tension comes into play.
OH Smack, wrong person, wrong time, wrong train of thought by reporter. In other words CNN-MSNBC-FOX-NBC-CBS-ABC does not matter they don't give a damn about anything but first on story or first to create a story and create rating for the rate card that creates the bottom line. Always remember its follow the money, honey.
Limbaugh's montage today of all the TV Newsers dogging Trump for lacking empathy was classic! They'll be the first ones cleansed.
Never ask a question that you don't know the answer to......or be prepared. Crisis news -- what journalism majors today live off of, since it requires nothing but microphones and emotions. Ever googled the writers of articles in the NYT or WaPo or some other rag??? They're about 34 and have an internship behind them, maybe some college newspaper staff writing, but they're a great social justice warrior and suddenly an expert. God help us!
Nevermind the interview, can we talk about that hawk?! He probably thought driving was a safer alternative than flying during a hurricane...
Imagine how pissed that womman's going to be when she finds out this is nothing more than weather manipulation evidenced by strong burst of HAARP radiation before landfall...identical to Katrina
