Sad. If only we had pulled the confederate flags earlier, this probably wouldn't have happned.
I'm sure they both had bright futures and both were going to grow up to be outstanding members of our community. Such a great loss.
Here is an interesting cache that at the Mississippi Department of Mental Health has suddenly taken down. Hmmmmm.
In the U.S., eight out of 10 teen fathers won't marry the mother of their child. Kenyatta Robinson doesn't want to be a statistic. Robinson, unlike most teen fathers, wants to be there for his son, Kentrell.
"I want to do everything I can to keep him on the right track, keep him out of jail," he said. "Put it this way: keep him from doing all the wrong things I was doing."
Robinson's discipline problems got him in trouble, and he was forced to drop out of school. Growing up, his own dad wasn't around, and friends and family have said if he was, things might have been different.
"A lot of people have told me if I would have had a dad, I wouldn't be doing a lot of things I'm doing," he said.
How prophetic.

His dad was always on the road as a traveling confederate flag salesman.
Now unfortunately we can wait for Kenyatta to become a statistic in a few years.
Hey, Shrilly, you need to work on those reading skills. MSDH is the - read it slowly and sound out each syllable - Mississippi State Department of Health, a completely different agency from the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. But, like my daughter used to say when she was a high school student just like you, thanks for playing.
1:21 True enough, but totally irrelevant to the point he was making.
Time to up your Vyvanse and try to FOCUS.
2:18, you might be right. My reading comprehension skills are probably eroding with old age. What do you think the point was? I took it as he was being critical of DMH for taking down a post, and the clever play on the name seems to give that some credence. Since it wasn't the DMH who posted it, nor who took it down, it seemed to take a little pizzazz out of the comment.
