Blogger offers reward for nursing home photos, reports McDaniel to file challenge.

"Online journalist" Charles C. Johnson offered a $2,000 reward for the Rose Cochran photos at issue in the nursing home scandal on Twitter today.  The screenshots are posted below.  He also reported Chris McDaniel will file a legal challenge to the election results tomorrow.  His tweets can be found at @ChuckCJohnson.

What's the angle here?

I've just given the Madison PD an ear full. Now I'm calling Mayor Mary. This troll can join the others in court. As for a legal challenge by the "grand wizard", MS law makes no provision for a legal challenge. This guy is a joke. The. "grand wizard" is bordering on having the Fed's called for voter fraud and possible hate crimes. Now will he be filing in Hinds or Jones county? Can't wait to read it.

What is the hell is wrong with you people???? Do you not have any respect for anyone?? Do you know the meaning of the word "respect"?? Rose Cochran is not running for the Senate, her husband is!!! And, you have the gall, to accuse Thad of running a dirty race!! You have your facts confused!!!

I believe if they are going on the part of law that says you should vote in a primary only if you plan of supporting that candidate in the general election, then they have around 370,000 folks to interview. You cannot just choose the counties you want. Let me know how that is going to work TP

@CharlesJohnson is a Yankee and will be forgiven for being a dumb ass. The issue of the photo was not that it was indecent but it is a dignity issue and privacy issue both in MS Dept of Health Nursing Home Regulations. I would also push charges of burglary of an inner door commercial and simple assault.

Who is Charles Johnson?

Regardless of which side you are on through all of this.....this guy (and / or the people who are utilizing hit twitter acct) need a good old Mississippi ass whipping.....period.

GLAD YOU GOT A SCREEN SHOT!!

Just clicked on his link, and it appears he has taken it down -- however, there are post there, that indicate he's been talking to Chris McDaniel today, and is on a redstate.com briefing today.........and Chris told him he has so many people phoning him from out of state -- it's draining his phone twice a day.

WOW -- and 190k people in Mississippi were taken in by this McDaniel. TP -- you chose a poor candidate. You all might have things we all agree with, but your messenger was HORRIBLE. Divest yourself of this guy before you can't......

I feel dirty just reading this guy's stuff, and to know McDaniel is talking to him ---- should tell people something.

Please McDaniel supporters, try to have a shred of decency. How many of you would be happy to have your picture taken in that condition and posted online for the world to see? Or a picture of your mother or grandmother or sister? The saying that if you have to hide it or delete it or lie about it then you shouldn't do it,is something some people need to think about. If the guy had to "slip" into the nursing home (it took him 3 tries) to do it, he knew it wasn't right. If it was sooooo ok why didn't he just call one of the Cochran's and have them meet him there and show him to her room?

Thanks to Scotty Collins for posting the photo of Rose Cochran in happier times.

California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill on Tuesday that bans "revenge porn" in the state, making it illegal for disgruntled exes to upload indecent photographs of their former partners to the Internet without the victim's permission. The new law makes such a practice a misdemeanor charge and can result in six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Senate Bill 255, one of 36 bills signed by Gov. Brown on Tuesday, makes it illegal to upload identifiable, indecent photos to the internet without permission of the photographed or for the purpose of causing emotional distress to the victim. The bill's text states that causing someone emotional distress by an indecent internet photo would constitute "disorderly conduct", and therefore the perpetrator should be "subject to that same punishment."

Anonymous said...

I am not an attorney -- but I would assume this smacks of illegality. Soliciting a crime? Across interstate lines? Someone fill me in.......is this illegal? It should be!

Court challenge? What? Wait til a black judge has to rule on it. Will McDaniel and Klan move to recuse? All black people?

What an extreme waste of time....but....Ive got popcorn.

9:24 At the very least it sounds like someone conspiring to commit a federal HIPPA violation, although, IIRC, St. Catherine's would be stuck with the $50,000 fine for allowing it to happen, since none of the slime (i.e., the relevant McDaniels supporters) are a "health care entity", to whom the law applies. They are apparently free to invade the privacy of a dying woman in a hospice under HIPPA.

Anonymous said...

My God. Did he mock Jordan Russell for his father's suicide?

Anonymous said...

You pay damn good money for your loved one to be in St Catherine's so why isn't there better security? They can sure afford it and there should be accountability/liability with them as well. If someone did this to my parent, I would go after St Catherine's first. But just like the courthouse incident, the folks that work there and accountable for securing the building weren't punished? What's wrong with folks these days, blame is always pushed to others. If both of these facilities were secured as they should have been this would have never happened. Those are not doing the jobs they are paid to do.

Game of Thrones Mississippi style.

It's about time for a break . . . perhaps a 2014 Hottest reporter poll ?

Charles Johnson is a psychotic failed conservative journalist. Go look at his twitter page. He tweets about 200 times a day and says the craziest stuff imaginable.

Why he cares about MS, who knows, but he has clearly jumped the shark and should just simply be ignored.

Again, he's not even a real journalist.

So, is that Scotty Collins guy another "constitutional" blogger? Anyone know?

Anonymous said...

1016 just interjecting but before the Obama health care law went into effect I thought it was a $250,000 fine to the entity only if it was shared for marketing purposes. however this was only for government entities, insurance agencies, or hospitals and did not impact any private institution regarding HIPAA. however I'm not sure if under the Obama healthcare law it covers any private institution as it did not before per the Office of Civil Rights. but being that St Catherine's may or may not take any federal funding, I am not sure if they are considered private or public as they may take federal funding fall under the HIPAA law. the Obama healthcare law is more strict. I read it the preliminary reports and it was over a million fine for marketing purposes. please correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure you guys will.

Senator Cochran, with a wife allegedly in the very early stages of dementia, could have used her delicate condition to mount an humanitarian cause celebre effort to direct federal funding to medical research into the causes of this terrible disease;instead, narcissim trumped humanitarianism and Cochran used his senioriy position in Congres to build standing monuments to himself... and to direct the funding of proxy wars in America's killing fields across the globe. Show me Cochran "class!"

Anonymous said...

Pug -- I believe this is the wrong forum to air that grievance on. As others have pointed out -- Rose Cochran IS NOT running for Congress. She should be left out of this.........period. Attack the man, but do not attack a woman, dying in hospice. These types of actions, sicken the average voter. It does not bode well, for the McDaniel camp, and there is no way to condone it. For your own reputation -- drop it.

The "Local Looney Club" aka Mississippi Tea Party is a disgrace! The Department of Mental Health needs to open a new building just for them at Whitfield! The LL's should slither back under the rock from which they came! Thank God Thad won the election - I was concerned what the Neshoba County Fair would have been like if McNut had won! Now we have to beat the other 8 LL's in the State Senate next year!

Anonymous said...

Pug --- same could be true of McDaniel --- rumors have surfaced for years that he has had multiple affairs in Jones County, that his grandfather and great uncle were in the KKK ------ can we now go after him, his family, etc.???? Rumor and innuendo -- let's take pictures of his wife in the supermarket, his boys going to school, Sarah Palin's Downs Syndrome Child, Santorum's sick child, bring in his Uncle who was reported to be the KKK Grand Wizard........PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where does it end? You are beginning to sound sickening, and appear to be willing to burn down the village to save it.

There are some things off limits --- I'm an ardent Republican, and a Thad voter, but I can tell you, under no circumstances, should the Obama children, Bush Girls, etc. be free game. You're using non-combatants to win a war.

You're loosing this battle -- go to another blog topic. I think we're all sick or hearing your "reflections" and condoning of a sick Tweeter who is a gofundme.com "journalist".

When I think the thought processes of some McDaniel supporters can't get any more bizarre or show more ignorance, one or more will manage to surprise me.

Charles Johnson can't get that going into a woman's home uninvited and taking her photo without permission is a criminal act. Mrs. Cochrane's room at St Catherine's is NO different than her home. It is her paid residence. If she'd been living in an apartment building and Clayton went in through an unlocked door or open window, would he " get" it? There's NO difference!

St Catherine's Alzheimer's building is a locked facility. You have to be buzzed in and out. ( Can you see the apartment analogy here too, people?). There is a guard gate at St Catherine's where you must state your business.

I don't know what means were used to gain entrance, but entrance had to be gained under false pretenses such as visiting and existing resident with permission or collecting the personal effects of a deceased resident with permission.

That anyone thinks a determined person with criminal intent can't find ways to breach security measures is bizarre. Whether it's an apartment with security or a residential facility with security!

St Catherine's is NOT a hospital. It is a residential facility with independent and dependent care options paid for by the residents. It is the home of the people who live out their days there! It's their legal residence.

We have at least one representative who is becoming famous for advancing certain causes relative to the 'condition' of a family member. Maybe ole Thadeus should have done that instead of warehousing her and running with a strumpet.

If it's fair game for these lettuce-heads to imagine McDaniel a KKK wizard, then it's certainly fair game to paint Thadeus with a scarlet letter. While one is purely imaginary, the other is fact.

Ricky Cole is allowed to post multiple times on here incessantly. Give it up, Ricky, you just don't fit in socially...anywhere.

What about Phil's guy working at the Mississippi Highway Patrol - campaigning for McDaniel. Phil - grow some balls and get ride of him - he's hurting you all over this state. He's been running up and down the State for McDaniel. Hell, after the tornado hit Louisville, he was up there telling the people of Winston County that McDaniel would take care of them when he went to Washington and that Thad was going to resign next year and that the Governor would be able to appoint whoever he wanted!

"What about Phil's guy working at the Mississippi Highway Patrol - campaigning for McDaniel. Phil - grow some balls and get ride of him"
June 30, 2014 at 9:36 AM

I don't exactly understand your post, but I'm guessing that you're either advocating more 'Highway Patrol Man-love', involving this "Phil", or are soliciting same for "Phil".

I do think that your suggestion of using gonadotropic medication(s) before "Phil" is to "get ride of him" is on-target.

This all sounds like a good way for you and "Phil" to spend your time, if you have nothing else to do - although I'm having trouble understanding what your post has to do with the topic being discussed. Does it have something to do with the out-of-nowhere comment earlier in the thread, "This is someone who has definitely not ever known the embrace of a female. "? Is this mode of communication how you people find each other these days? ...by making oddly-out-of-place comments on Internet blogs?

Also in your post, you say, "...he's hurting you all over this state." Is this mystery person maybe the Big Black Trucker who was "getting ride of" the MHP Sargent at the abandoned weigh station? Is that fella suddenly in demand, statewide, among those who like to be "hurt"?

I wish you and this "Phil" all the best. But I'm still wondering what, exactly, you're talking about. Then again, an easy ninety percent of the posts here are similarly indecipherable.

For you wannabee psychologists, the MMPI doesn't have a 'pass fail', nor are there 'normal limits'. It is what it is and it projects a personality profile.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
