Much ado has been made about the Tea Party Trio's visit to the Hinds County courthouse on election night. JJ decided to provide some photos and a video tour of the courthouse at night so you can see the courthouse as the Tea Party Trio saw it. Decide for yourself if their explanations hold water.
Note: I videotaped the door both with and without light. It will appear dark the first time. Be patient and you will then see it with the aid of a flashlight.

Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Needs audio of you banging on the door for someone to let you in so you can help "count" the votes.
Having been there on several election nights, the "tunnel" door is the regular way to enter when observing the counting. Usually, the ballot boxes are driven into the tunnel and offloaded into the hallway outside the clerk's office.
I still can't understand how one could be trapped in the building, though. There are several doors that would always permit an exit.
I believe this to be nothing more than foolish mistakes and poor judgment.
They SHOULD have done this or done that- but they didn't. So, they ended up with this mess.
What bothers me most is for Robert Graham (the double-dipper)requesting the DA investigate further since Graham feels there is a problem with accountability.
Accountability, Graham? Do tell...
Anyone else wondering if Graham's state auditor problems may have gone away by keeping this issue going? I'll certainly be looking to see if Stacy Pickering pursues him any further after this. I just have a feeling that Graham may have offered to be "helpful" in exchange for Pickering backing off on any demand for repayment from Graham.
Graham is merely grandstanding after reviewing the GOP election returns that showed many precincts in his district favoring Cochran. He's very worried about 2015.
Not that unlike when Hinds County Roads Dept re-paved a 1/10th mile stretch of Eastover drive and Graham directed huge signs to be placed at either end of the stretch giving himself credit. 100% TRUE STORY.
They were there to tamper with the votes but were too stupid to realize the ballots would be locked up. Tea Party people are hopelessly delusional and this Lane woman who says women shouldn't put have the right to vote? Tea Party wrongs for the "good ole days" of open segregation and racism.
Everyone knows it was Pete Perry who called the media, and made a big stink about all of this.
Graham's middle name is 'Pander'.
Nice job, Federico. What a farcical bunch. If hailed into court, they will plead not guilty on account of the national debt (Apologies to Marshall Ramsey.)
Lane is a nice lady but she is an idiot when it comes to anything political. Her mistakes tend to wind up on the front page. Her bumbling is toxic to any campaign or party. Let her wave signs, let her go door to door. But anything else, she needs a good old fashioned exile. She does more damage to her own side over and over more than her opponents could ever hope to do.
In other words, she needs to just sit down and shut up. No more "you're a good person", "its ok". They need to get tough with her and send her into exile or into their basement. Period.
The photographs provided by the blog admin are not evidence of anything. Nor do they relate to the veracity or lack thereof of the 'trio'. If I suspected chickanery was afoot at that location and, knowing it was a public place that could well be accessible to THE PUBLIC, I'd simply walk in too. What's the big deal.
Which door was used, how well lit it might have been or whether they were locked in are all beside the point. They suspected shit was afoot and went about the task of checking it out.
Or do some of you idiots actually think they had a plan to shoot the lock off the boxes (as in Gunsmoke) and rifle through the contents in an effort to affect the election?
You might as well have also shown photos of streetlights.
Janis Lane is a sitting member of the Hinds County Republican Executive Committee. Pete Perry doesn't want you to know that.
They were there to cast doubt on Hinds County votes.
Its simple.
They should be prosecuted for attempting to interfere with a federal election.
The Tea Party has transformed itself from a political party into a cult.
With friends like these...
Janis Lane is an insider. Pete Perry knows that insiders get in and he doesn't want everyone to know what insider privileges consist of.
Hell, Pete Perry has to take anything he can get!
The tea party neophytes will set up. They took the bait because they were curious and now they have egg on their face like the Cochran elites wanted. Establishment party types would never have fallen for this.
My biggest concern about that video is the silly paint job on the HCSO vehicle. Did my tax dollars pay for that?
Lane is an honest person but I question her political saavy.
If the Tea Party is a cult then that is only fair since the Rhinos are bloodsuckers.
1:05 be sayin': "They should be prosecuted for attempting to interfere with a federal election."
And 1:05, with his alarming lack of knowledge of the law will sit with the prosecution staff as a consultant.
Glad the comedian bought a new sheriff's car because this Lord Sheriff and McMillan before him failed to use the drug lord takings law that Rankin County law enforcement did. They utilized the takings law and their own law enforcement skills to fund the Sheriff's fleet and the purchase of radio equipment from the drug traffickers they prosecuted. Here we had either poorly trained or led Sheriff's Dept. for a generation.
12:44 You do not know from which you speak!
Pete Perry was on the Gallo show this week and said that Lane was a member of the Hinds County Republican Party and was invited by him.
Do not say that any more - you do not know what you are talking about and it makes you look stupid!
12:38
If you'd read this website before, which you haven't, you would know that I go shoot video and photographs on stories such as this so everyone can have better information than what someone told them. See the Zoo, Sulphur Springs Park, and other stories.
Tourists. Yeesh.
Green and Kidd sat on a million bucks of that money for a long time.
Weren't these people there at 2:00am? They know damn well their was no one in that building. If they had been caught in any other building at that time they would have been charged with with B&E or burglary. The same should apply here. It was an election night and this is where the ballots are. They were their to tamper with them. As a republican we see this type of behavior constantly from democrats. We should not tolerate it from within our own party. They should all be prosecuted and kicked out of the Mississippi GOP.
JJ, the door in issue does NOT enter directly into the Circuit Clerk's office. It is a corridor with doors to the boiler/mechanical room, stairwell, an elevator, and an entrance to the Circuit Clerk's office which is locked at 5:00 every work day. to get in the lobby of the basement, you would have to go up one floor, then descend on the central stairwells to arrive at the front door of the clerk's office.
I agree with 5:01. If the DA is to weak to prosecute, the MS Republican Party should set an example here and throw these people out. Allowing this act to go unpunished makes us no different than democrats. The respective groups these people belong to should kick them out first and make a statement stating this type of behavior should not be tolerated. Which ever campaign they are affiliated with should disown them then the state GOP should excommunicate them with prejudice. Failure to do so would mean all these groups think it's ok to be unethical.
Janis Lane is probably the only person who can be thrown out of anything. In this case off the Hinds Executive Committee. But you can't throw anyone out of a political party in Mississippi because there is no party registration.
5:08 statement tells me one thing. These people knew that this particular door was propped open. They had to use a door that wasn't used much that night so it wouldn't be checked.
Thanks KF for the video. It helps to see which door they used. If they were worried about tampering they should have stayed to watch the ballots being locked up and all left together.
Oh the irony of Pete Perry making a stink about someone being where he (or she) doesn't belong after hours.
Surely the McDaniel campaign had someone at the Hinds courthouse at all times during the count that night who kept them informed of what precincts were in and watched for any problems. They knew that 4 boxes were not going to be counted that night and probably knew which boxes they were. They also knew when the count shut down for the night.
I would think the State, City and County Fire Marshals would be very interested to know that there are NO doors in the courthouse that allow you to exit without a key.
Didn't this horse die a couple of days ago?
Nope. They didn't have anyone there watching votes counted. They partied in Hburg. Bet they do next time.
There's an ongoing investigation by the Hinds County DA. That sounds alive to me.
It says a lot about the nut jobs supporting McDaniel that are attacking Pete Perry over this. Perry wasn't the one who got locked in the courthouse when they weren't supposed to be there. And what makes you think he called the media? No proof of that, you're just blindly attacking because that's all that you know how to do.
The ironic thing is that Lane could have been there all night participating in the vote count as a member of the executive committee but she wasn't.
For a bunch of people who preach personal responsibility, they sure don't like to take any.
did the new "advertiser" pay you to run this trash? very disappointing...
what about this earlier version you reported?
http://www.kingfish1935.blogspot.com/2014/06/update-case-closed.html
Kingfish, you mean "exile" like they've done w/ Melanie Sojurner???
I will be interested to see what the Mississippi Baptist have to say about that Chambers idiot. However, they lost a lot of credibility with me when they hired him. I thought it ironic that they have a man in charge of promoting family values that didn't take his marriage vows to his first wife very seriously.
And what makes you think he called the media?
And what makes you think he didn't?
If I'm Chris McDaniel and Hinds County has not reported election results by a reasonable hour, I'm definitely sending someone to the courthouse to find out why. With that instruction goes the expectation that person should try to gain access to the circuit clerk's office by an unlocked door.
In this case, there was not merely an unlocked door, but one that was suspiciously propped open. You better believe I'm going in to find out what's going on and why is it taking so long to get complete vote tallies.
If instead of getting locked in, upon finding no one inside they had exited and then promptly told a security officer that they had entered a propped open door but found no one inside inside, would that make a difference? Would you still be saying they should not have gone in but instead should be prosecuted for entering a public building with a propped open door? A public building where votes were being counted within the previous two hours (and probably a shorter time than that)?
Micah Gober. You are absolutely wrong. You can make the accusations just as the McDaniel campaign did, but neither of you are doing anything but trying to pass the buck - again.
I have not promoted this incident. I did not call the media. They have called me, and I have answered their questions, just as I have answered everyone else's question.
Thanks for making the b/s comment though. Just shows me how little you know or care about the truth.
Pete Perry
They had bad intentions when they left Hatty. Just like there was bad intentions on the Clayton Kelly issue. But no we don't know anything about nothing. There's no story here. Sounds like POTUS speeches. And all that are anonymous on this thread are weak.
Nothing but sad folks that lie like the POTUS. Anonymous users are weak and scared to show their true identity. Probably the same who alters Wiki pedia, plots a nursing home scandal & tried to mess with affidavit ballots in a courtroom at 2 in the morning.
It was a set up. DA must discover who set the bait. And who tipped off the McDaniel camp?
Pete, since you are reading. Can you confirm that Janis Lane is a member of the Hinds Country Republican Party Executive Committee? Since you care about the truth and all.
Still, Kingfish, the 'video' you shot adds nothing to what the Cochran campaign hopes will flame the McDaniel camp. Bottom line is citizens (regardless of their affiliation) walked into a public building, after dark, through an open door, into a public space. You 'who-dunnits' wanting to make something of nothing are floundering on this one.
But this thread isn't quite as crazy as the ongoing insinuations that somebody 'broke into' the nursing home under cover of darkness.
Are we actually seeing the work of JFP interns moonlighting for Kingfish?
The investigation will occur in the heart of the Hinds County Election Commission and the campaign organizations. Policy differences among the candidates were never aired nor will they be. Immigration and foreign policy would be natural differences outside of the national debt issue that was only marginally discussed. Debate is a senatorial and institutional duty but not in a campaign? In this county and state-- conspiracy is the focus.
I've never heard of a major statewide campaign that did not have someone at the courthouse of each of the big counties. But then when they saw that some precincts had not been counted, they could have called the courthouse to ask what was up or called a local supporter to go check it out. Mark Mayfield was available. Silly to argue that they had to drive up from Hattiesburg to find out something Kingfish had already posted here.
everyone is missing the point! does anyone not think about the accountability of keeping a building secured and whose responsibility it is? St Catherine's village clients want to ensure that there loved ones are secured in the home and we want to ensure that our ballots are secured in the courthouse. yes those that enter are accountable also but those that are supposed to keep these buildings secure are most accountable. do you leave your door unlocked to your home when you leave and if someone walked in to your open door would an insurance company consider it a break in? Hhmmmm. I feel very uncomfortable with security for my loved one in St Catherine's Village as well as with the ballots In the courthouse. why isn't anyone going after them also?
Even if she is a member of the county Republican executive committee, she wasn't helping or participating in the vote count in an official capacity - maybe she recused herself or maybe she just didn't show up - so she doesn't have free run of the courthouse.
Am I the only one who read in the Clarion Ledger that the Sheriff's investigation revealed that a JPD officer was the "uniformed official" who helped these people enter the building? The article stated he saw them outside the building looking for an entrance and, after hearing why they were there, he helped them find an entrance to the building that was open. If a police officer helps you enter a public building, it is hard to argue that you have broken the law. Also, if you call a member of the enemy camp to ask for help in getting out of the building, it is hard to argue you had some improper purpose you were trying to conceal.
This was simply a keystone cops situation. I wish we could move on to a discussion of something substantive. But, I guess that is not the point of this election anymore.
Immigration and foreign policy would be natural differences outside of the national debt issue that was only marginally discussed. Debate is a senatorial and institutional duty but not in a campaign? In this county and state-- conspiracy is the focus.
"Gone Foreign" Cochran's voting record on the issues of immigration reform, the fast track North and Central American "free trade" treaties and the US State Department foreign policy in the Middle East--and now on Russia's borders-- is his Achilles Heel;these two issues are directly related to the exponential rise in the national debt. Whether McDaniel "can see Russia from the Free State of Jones"--and able to convey to a mostly dumbdowned public on how these two issues relate to their economic well being-- will we be able to see just how Senatorial he really is. And for "conspiracy," I'd like to see the US flag flying upside down as he speaks.
Here are the statements from the Mississippi Baptist Convention leadership. Typical holding statement hiding behind an investigation. I can guarantee that unless the media or more specifically Kingfish press the MBCB for continued transparency then they will simply hide behind these statements. As a Baptist I am extremely concerned with the deepening relationship the leadership of the lobbying and ethics arm of the convention seems to have with the Tea Party.
MBCB and CAC issues statement on Hinds County Courthouse Incident
Dr. Jim Futral, executive director of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board in Jackson, issued the following statement on Friday morning, June 6: “I am very appreciative of the swift manner in which Dr. Jimmy Porter, executive director of the Christian Action Commission, and the Commission’s trustee leadership have addressed the incident at the Hinds County Courthouse on the morning of June 4. Details are still emerging, and I want Mississippi Baptists to know that this situation is being dealt with as properly and as fairly as possible at the present time."
Dr. Jimmy Porter, executive director of the Christian Action Commission in Jackson, issued the following statement on Friday morning, June 6: “The legal considerations have apparently been settled, but the facts surrounding this incident are still being reviewed by the trustees of the Christian Action Commission. In order to be fair to everyone involved, that is the only statement that will be made at this time.”
Are we actually seeing the work of JFP interns moonlighting for Kingfish?
You really must be an idiot to think a piss ant dig like that would make KF even blink.

Unlocked doors and broken locks are an everyday occurence in dysfuntional Hinds County. Happens so frequently that nobody notices anymore. Except, maybe, the Fed DOJ.
Hinds County is a joke.
12:44 - I have repeatedly said that Janis Lane is a member of the HCREC. In fact, I nominated her for membership on the committee. But that has nothing to do with this situation. Just because she is a member of the committee does not mean she should have been in the courthouse after the conclusion of the counting Tuesday night. If she had wanted to "help" she certainly could have come earlier and been put to work! But she didn't.
Please tell me how you come to the conclusion that "I don't want you to know that"? Just because you and Roy Nicholson - whose press release was so full of lies that it belies discussion - think that you can say it and make it true put you in the same category as poor Mitch.

Well said above! ^
Janis Lane has said that "someone who looked like a policeman" pointed out a door that appeared to not be closed properly. Thus far, that person that "looked" like a policeman has not been found.
There were four boxes that were not able to be downloaded into the master computer Tuesday night due to technical issues. Two of these precincts had very few (single digits) Republican votes. One of the others (Clinto 2) had vote totals reported but couldn't be downloaded. The fourth, Learned, had approximately 300 votes that split evenly between the two candidates.
When it was determined that these boxes could not be downloaded, around 10:30, the decision was made by all involved - the GOP, the Dems, and the Election Commission - to close down for the night and complete the process Wednesday morning. All representatives of campaigns that were present were informed of the situation and agreed to the decision.
The fact that these boxes were not included in the totals Tuesday night was not an unusual situation for an election.
There was no reason or justification for anyone to be in the courthouse after the counting was completed and the courthouse locked. There was absolute every right for any observers to be present from the time counting started at 7:00 until the time the process was shut down.
Janis Lane, as I have said earlier, as a member of the committee could have been present and assisted in the process - which includes a lot more than "counting votes". However, she did not choose to do so. But being a member of the committee did not give her the right to be in the building or access to the materials after the process was completed.
In my opinion, she was brought along to provide cover - as a member of the committee it might give plausible deniability for the purpose of being there at 2 in the morning.

It is absolutely incredible to see the lengths to which you squableheads for the Tea Party are going to point the blame finger at someone, anyone, other than the people responsible in this instance and the other instances of Tea Party wrongdoing in this campaign, e.g., nursing home gate. It is absolutely incredible and completely delusional. If McDaniel wins and this is the type logic that is going to run his Senate office, it is going to be at least 6 years of hell and embarrassment for Mississippi.
Never met Roy Nicholson in my life Pete. Couldn’t pick him out of a lineup with the Backstreet Boys! Or maybe in your case I should use the Ames Brothers for the analogy.
Identifying Janis as a member of the Tea Party fits your narrative Pete.
You have not openly offered to the press that she is also a member of the select Hinds Republican Party Executive Committee. That is an omission that doesn't fit your narrative.
BTW Pete, I, for one, never said she should have been there. Only pointing out that when it comes to politics you are far from a Altar Boy.
Pray tell what the hell the Baptist Convention has to do with this whole thing and what business they have 'following' it.
Or are they the modern day Southern Christian Leadership Conference?
And speaking of pure hell and embarrassment for Mississippi, which party was it that ran folks up the flagpole like Gene Taylor, Mike Espy and John Hinson?
"ACFM" again, you are wrong. I have told many members of the media that Janis is a member of the HCREC. I am pretty sure that I haven't said it to each and every media conversation that I have had, but I have said it many, many times. Generally depended on the nature of the conversation. Oftentimes it came about when they asked something like "why did she call you?" or "do you know her fairly well?".
But the fact is, I don't see where that makes any difference. But that, of course, is only my opinion. If you have a reason to think it does matter, please share it with us.

Pete - what do you know about the door being left propped open? Also, aside from you and Connie Cochran (Thad's sister-in-law, chairman of the Hinds County Election Commission) who were the last people to leave the building?
Go ahead. Smear Connie Cochran. See how far you get with that.
In response to the comment from 10:54, the Mississippi Baptist are following this scandal because Rob Chambers, one of the late night courthouse visitors, is employed by the Mississippi Baptist. In response to your other question, Hinson was a Republican, Taylor and Espy were Democrats. However, Taylor now claims to be a Republican.
Pete Perry states above, "There was no reason or justification for anyone to be in the courthouse after the counting was completed and the courthouse locked."
Why isn't that sentence a misrepresentation and a slander? The courthouse wasn't locked. Indeed, the door was propped open. Isn't that a huge point!
With due respect, the "smear" at work here is directed by Cochran supporters against McDaniel supporters - Pete himself previously said one person was involved only, and specifically, to generate "plausible deniability," which clearly implies intentional, wrongful conduct.
I just find it odd that in your detailed coverage of this tempest in a teapot, including but not limited to your late-night surveillance of the Hinds County Courthouse, you have yet to mention that Thad's sister-in-law was working hand-in-glove with Pete on election night.
Let's see if you post this, or whether is disappears down the memory hole.
It's a well known fact that Jon Hinson was in a gender-association rehab facility when democrats, at the direction of Ted Kennedy, took photos of him in his weakest moments. He was on his way to recovery, had the Dems not ruined his ascension. David Bowen had the good sense to bail before the papparazi got him.
There's an ole saying I find rarely wrong: "The guilty dog barks loudest."
The post above at 6:19 PM correctly quotes Pete Perry stating, "There was no reason or justification for anyone to be in the courthouse after the counting was completed and the courthouse locked."
That 6:19 PM post then makes the point that not only was the courthouse not locked, a courthouse door was propped open. But that's not Pete Perry's only misrepresentation.
Contrary to his claim, the counting was NOT complete. Totals for several boxes had not been reported and weren't reported until the next day. That's one reason why the McDaniel people came to the courthouse. They wanted to know why Hinds County had not reported a complete count
They called Pete. Everyone agrees to that point. Maybe he knows more about what really happened than you. Did she call you?
6:30, Connie Cochran is an elected elections commissioner whose duty includes conducting all facets of associated activities associated with general and special elections of the county. She was doing what she was elected to do.
7:38, go back and read Pete Perry's response at 10:11 AM. Not only did he say the counting was not complete, he identified the boxes that were not counted and were to be counted the next day as agreed upon by all parties of the campaigns. The McDaniel campaign sends people to the courthouse between 1:30 - 2:00 AM to find out why the Hinds County count was not complete? With an empty courthouse at 2 AM, and every door locked except for the one door they entered, I am curious who they were planning to ask about the incomplete Hinds county count.

Was there a big sign outside that said "Don't Bother Coming In the Courthouse is Empty"?
Pete is hip deep in the intrigue here. He's an establishment GOP insider and hardcore for Thad Cochran. Fool yourself otherwise if it makes you feel better.

I noticed the very same with him too!
The Cochran campaign and Haley Barbour chose to lay down with dirty dogs when they cut a deal and offered money to the worst elements of the crooked Hinds County Democratic machine to buy this election.
Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas.
You tea party people are amazing in your dancing around the big ole pile of poop in the middle of the room. They BROKE INTO A BUILDING! The fact that they went through a propped open door does not diminish the fact that THEY BROKE INTO A BUILDING! AND anyone with an ounce of integrity or moral fiber will admit that they were up to no good, i.e. BREAKING THE DAMN LAW.
These are NOT the type people who need to be representing anyone or anything. They need to be horsewhipped and locked in a jail with out the opportunity of a propped open door. And if anyone doesn't believe that McDaniel was not involved in the actions of these people and the people breaking into the nursing home then they are fools.
