State DemocratIC Party Chairman Robert Moak screwed things up yet again.
His tenure has been nothing short of a disaster for the party yet he somehow keeps his position.

DemoRat rancor-
The KKK wing of the MS Democrats hangs on for dear life.
What’s the backstory for those of us who aren’t democrats?
Why does the democrat party still exist? I can’t name a single political party or group that has two centuries of horrifying and abhorrent behavior that has survived for so long.
I love it when they begin to cannibalize each other!!
@12:02 you’re confusing southern Democrats with the Democratic Party in general. Southern Democrats left the party decades ago (when they finished sucking up enough of the subsidies from the New Deal to get over the depression) and joined the Republican Party, which had adopted more conservative ideologies by that time. If you’re a republican now, you would’ve been a southern democrat then.
In support, see Bullock III, Charles S. and Mark J. Rozell, eds. The Oxford Handbook of Southern Politics (2012):
“The monopoly that the Democratic Party held over most of the South first showed major signs of breaking apart in 1948, when many white Southern Democrats, upset by the policies of desegregation enacted during the administration of Democratic President Harry Truman, created the States Rights Democratic Party, which nominated South Carolina Governor Strom Thurmond for president. The "Dixiecrats" won most of the deep South (where Truman was not on the ballot). The new party collapsed after the election, while Thurmond became a Republican in the 1960s. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson, although a southern Democrat himself, was unable to rally the party and received heavy opposition from both Southern Democrats and Southern Republicans. Nevertheless, the increasing appeal of national government intervention and subsidies attracted southern African Americans to the Democrat national party, such as by the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party In the ensuing years, with the passing of the Civil Rights Act and the increasing conservatism of the Republican Party compared to the central planning of the Democratic Party (especially on Taxation and expansion of government issues) led many white southern Democrats to vote Republican. However, many continued to vote for Democrats at the state and local levels, especially before the Republican Revolution of 1994. In 2000–2010, Republicans gained a solid advantage over Democrats at all levels of politics in most Southern states.”
3:35 You can try to convince yourself of this flimsy excuse but LBJ was a segregationist that used the n word regularly and it well documented. Carter went to a church that didn’t allow blacks and voted to stay that way in 1976 - he still went. Carter spoke highly of and worked with a George Wallace and Lester Maddox. Check out his visit to the rebel Tavern. Kennedy fought for blacks. Then we have Truman who applied for a paid to be a member of the KKK and then he said he did it for votes. Nevertheless his personal writings and letters to his family would make today’s racist blush. Woodrow Wilson reversed all racial progress and segregated the armed services and federal workplace putting blacks in cages “ for their own good.” Wilson’s correspondence with Sanger and her eugenics buddies is purely disgusting. And then there was FDR who rounded and sent 150,OOO Asian Americans to interment camps and was known to use racial slurs regularly. SC Justice and dem senator another KKK member. Robert Byrd, KKK grand cyclops, was senior ranking member and fellow segregationist buddy of Biden’s. Even David Duke was only in the KKK while a democrat. But sure you can try to pin the racism on two Dixiecrats out of 30+. So yes the first 150 years of the party is slimy and disgusting, enough so the party shouldn’t exist. The last 60 years of near 100% black support and look how dems policies worked out- every city fully under their control is filled with poverty, despair and horrible living conditions. They just hid their means of enslavement. That kind of record has brought down any party in history except the dems. There is a reason that every statue and painting being destroyed is a Democrat. Every single person involved in the G Floyd travesty were democrats following democrat rules and statutes. The city council has not had a single republican in 60 years. Same with mayor, governor, police chief and heads of the police unions. They codified the police rules to include neck restraint. Not one republican involved and there will not be one republican involved in the prosecution or judgement in the case. The Clinton crime bill is responsible for the mass and unequal incarceration of blacks. Go sell your pablum to the useful idiots and the uninformed but it doesn’t pass the smell test.
But, but, but . . .
Ya'll don't understand.
I've got to run as a Democrat.
Daddy and Grand Pappy were Democrats !
@7:38, you need to take your medicine.
7:38 obliterated the paper tigers in this thread.
David Blount and Shanda Yates are goners after the next redistricting. Just watch.
Blount will be fine. He is one of Delbert's Democrats.
Moak's not a bad guy. He's just smart enough to know when the cause is hopeless and there's no percentage in wasting his time with plans and stuff. The whiners are lost at sea.
For the guy who can't seem to compose paragraphs, please learn.
7:38's post is why the two biggest parties in this country need competition. Reagan and Clinton did more to set black people back after the CRA than all the other presidents of the 1900's. Honestly, neither party is about the American people. Both parties are about rich people and the corporations run by those rich people. As much as I hate to say it, BLM has to happen, because those atrocities will eventually trickle up to the model minorities and those of us that comprise the working class and poor. The two parties are using the oldest playbook in the game - divide and conquer. They just go about it in different ways.
