Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

He's hosting a fundraiser in Eastover that was announced yesterday... sucking up from the elite establishment already it seems.
god help us.
why is he allowed to use public, county owned property, for a campaign event?
If he wants Sanderson money he'll have to be a big talkin' limp noodle on the illegal aliens flooding into this country.
11w8, because it is a public facility. You can make your announcement from the same site if you choose. It's a public event, not a private, invitation only event. And even if it were, that would not make it improper.
And, BTW, I'm not supporting Guest in this race. But not looking for something to bitch about, just to bitch, which is the norm for some JJ readers.
About 8 years ago, I got a letter telling me that I had not paid a speeding ticket in Yazoo County about 10 years before that date. I don't remember getting the ticket, but I probably did. I called the Yazoo county dept in charge to dispute the charges, because I know if I had gotten the ticket, I would have paid the ticket. She told me that a collection company sent those with 10 year old tickets, paid or not, a collection letter because they didn't know who had and who had not paid them. The collection company was run by a Mike Guest. Someone told me that might be his father. That makes it even worse. I don't have a dog in that race, because I am from Madison county, but I think it needs to be considered when going to the voting booth.
@11:28 am: Maybe because it's a public place and he also pays taxes? Just a guess.... #Guest4Congress
@11:38.... What the hell are you gassin' about?
to 11;28......... you said it yourself, its public property. criminal thugs use public property all the time to demonstrate against president trump.
@11:28 what place is he using that is public?
Let me know how it goes when you decide to use a Rankin County Courtroom for your event.
I take it no one spell checked the announcement. I don't know where Rankin Count is. There are 3 Courtrooms in that Courthouse, generally two for Circuit. Which one? Guest available for interviews. There's a shocker.
11:54
I've been receiving a similar letter from that blood sucker about a ticket that I received in Simpson County 25 years ago.
I know I paid that ticket, in cash, because I have never been to Mendenhall before or since. I saved the receipt for 20 years and then figured it would be safe to clean it out of my filing cabinet. Big mistake.
I receive those idiotic letters bi-annually, and promptly throw them in the trash, where they belong.
I wouldn't vote for that bottom-feeder Guest if he were the only one running.
@11:21am.. the "Eastover Crowd" strikes me as a smart place to start fundraising. Probably smarter than starting in Verdin Addition don't you think?
Oh he will be ducking at the sanderson tit in NE Jackson soon... probably hold a fundraiser at there house in the county club for votes. Yes he will be a limp noodle.
Wow same person posts every 3-5 minutes. Pay your bills. Novel concept if you’re a Democrat.
He is running to be in the minority, I hope he knows that.
11:54, not his father, its him. its a small collection agency operated by him and his DA office administrator. he's been doing this for years...
Running to be in the minority... haha... listen you obviously are not aware of the Republican takeover in the midwest... the rust belt is no longer Democrat. Even Ohio's Tim Ryan tells you that everyday and he's an elected democrat. Just like west Virginia it's gone... your now a bit coastal party rather than a national party. Especially if Durbin is working full time for 800k illegals. Bet your ass.. Allentown Pennsylvania is now red... Joe Biden warned dems of this 8 yrs ago.
government cannot make donations to persons or private organizations. Guest's campaign is using county property and utilities for a private campaign, thus Rankin is making an illegal donation. he should rent a private facility.
Attn 2:46 PM. Where does the money go that these POOR, UNEDUCATED, HARD WORKING salt of the earth, naive people pay time and time again? He should be asking for PAROLE rather than a job to represent the people cheated out of their hard earned money. Somebody who likes him, please give some reason for these shake downs. Is it legal? Apparently so because he has done it aa long time.
@1:23,
Well, yes I'm sure Northeast Jackson is a good place to start fundraising if you want to raise a lot of money and be a weak sell out. These elites in those neighborhoods only want one thing and that is control over the vote. They're elite snobs and they think money can buy everything. This goes for the entire lot of them.
3:34, I'll give you a reason. Mr Guest and/or the collection agency is simply relying on the information that the city, county or state agency tells him. If the municipal court, justice court or whoever it was that issued you a ticket tells him you have not paid it, a collection letter will be sent to you. I'm sure he doesn't send demand letters to people who he personally knows have paid their fine. (If you have proof to the contrary, show it.) It sounds like your anger should be directed at whoever issued you the ticket for telling him you didn't pay it when in fact you did. If you paid your fine and someone is still trying to collect from you, you have a right to be mad, but direct your anger at the person who wrongfully told him you hadn't paid it.
Empty suit, lip-synching the lyrics. We need someone who will go up their and bust Nancy in her cajones.
Attn 4:04 I am 11:54 Are you Mike Guest? I told you that as soon as the lady on the phone listened to me, she volunteered that all people receive that letter. If this man hasn't done any more due diligence than that, what do you expect to get out of him in Washington D.C., or of course he can volunteer to take a publicly aired lie detector test. I also will remind you that Yazoo County and whatever county Mendenhall is in are not the highest educated counties in the state and through no fault of their on can probably be easily duped. Please respond so this message can continue to be distributed to the voters in Mike Guest's congressional district.
@11:38 and 2:04 - I guess you felt it necessary to repeat yourself since nobody gave you the attention you sought. Whatever your personal opinion of the Sandersons, it's worth noting that they are probably as far removed from NE Jackson as yourself. They do sponsor a PGA golf event at the CCJ which benefits the UMMC Children's Hospital. What have you done lately to serve your community?
One side of mouth: Jackson is full of thugs and the only people left are those who can't afford to leave. The city is irrelevant.
Other: NE Jackson is full of elite snobs who control everything.
What have you done lately to serve your community?
ROFLMAO
That John Holmes response is so entirely predictable and shallow. You'll never be the Wadd.
Many of Antar's staunchest supporters 5:23 believe he's fallen under the control of those same elites.
@5:23
You basically nailed it on the head. My impression of Jackson is the city of haves and a city of have nots. Seems the poor kids are different from the CC Jackson and JA Prep private school kids and families that live off Northside Rd. Meadowbrook Dr. Etc... I live in Brandon but I have a contracting company am the work I do I'm thankful for happens to be in the areas of Jackson I mentioned. It's not cheap but they pay and I think they are good people over all. I don't find them snobs.
Poor Whit Hughes was talked into running for Congress by some idiot friends of his. It won't end well.
Everybody has said Mike Guest is a stand-up, tough guy etc. We don't need shiny, scripted, perfect and bought and paid for. I agree with-January 17, 2018 at 4:22 PM, he's and empty suit, stuffed shirt singing the song. He initially said he was "considering", service to the nation isn't something you consider....it considers you. Impressive career of getting people locked up in Rankin County, but Rankin county ain't D.C. I didn't appreciate his opening salvo about "ensuring the military is funded". What the Hell does he know?..a popular appeal song for his crowd. My service and support and that of my children is not for sale to any of these jokers. Mike Guest had the opportunity to suit-up and serve his country-if you are gonna come out of the blocks for the military, you might should have manned up and at least handed out socks as a supply clerk. But I'm sure, like most of the elites, he was above that. I'll bet the guy has never roofed a house, got in trouble for drinking beer or really done anything really hard (like most of the people in his district). DC is a tough place, the opposition will be ruthless, I just don't think Guest has the stomach for it. We need tough people in DC, if not, we'll have some other pretty boy (Chip Pickering), with his Baptist credentials in one hand chasing it all in DC., just singing a song.....
I think Michael Guest has done a fine job, locally, as our District Attorney, and he would probably serve us well in Washington. However, before I pull that lever on a Tuesday, I'd want some inclination of just who will replace him as our local District Attorney should he win the race.
Has anyone who's NOT a ladder climber filed yet????
6:53
ALL politicians are narcissistic ladder climbers. Usually not nearly as smart as they think they are. Controlled by money people with the real brains.
Guest has always been a self-promoter. Always will be.
Once again, would not vote for that bottom-feeder if he was the only ho at the prom.
because he is officially running now, he should resign as DA and let someone else take over because he will not be devoting his full attention to his elected-office duties and instead be focused on campaigning for a different office.
@7:51, no one will notice. He only appears for high profile slam dunk cases, press conferences, and press releases. Marty Miller will be his replacement. Won’t make a lick of difference.
Wanna know what the candidates stand for? Just find out who is running their campaigns. Pretty sure that those guys, armed with their same rolodex, have a track record with previous "conservative" candidates. Curious minds want to know.
What about Whit?
Maybe someone already mentioned this, but this event is at the "Rankin COUNT Courthouse."
9:23. Whit will get roughly 5% of the vote. Poor guy won't even know what hit him till it's all over. Someone PLEASE talk some sense into him.
10:02 AKA Michael Guest: Go back to collecting personal fees from 20 year old tickets and letting felons off easy. Whit is a brawler and will fight for MS not his own livelihood like you.
Donald Trump won civilized states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, so anything
is possible. Ask Ray Mabus about how slam dunk elections turn out sometimes.
DAs rarely personally try cases, they are primarily administrators. There are literally dozens of lawyers in Rankin and Madison County that could step in and take over for Guest without a hiccup. Prosecuting criminals in Rankin is like shooting fish in a barrel, its no rocket science. Madison is slightly more difficult, but few want a trial as if they are found guilty they will get a maximum sentence a vast majority of the time, so they take plea bargains. Guest has been a good DA, but like I say I could easily name dozens of attorneys that could as good or better job.
Guest has been a good DA, but like I say I could easily name dozens of attorneys that could as good or better job.
Throw some names out there since you "could easily name dozens". Give us the names of one half-dozen.
I'm getting tired of axing but will try one more time:
What is there about Guest, his credentials, his background or his work history that makes him good material for the office Harper is vacating?
Other than brown shoes with a blue suit and name recognition created by his own press releases.....what is there?
Yeah and start with those of more than 25 years of trial experience-
Marty Miller would be the BEST choice to step in to Michael's shoes.
Michael Guest does most certainly try cases. Not all of them, that would be insane. Much like the AG doesn't try ALL of the cases.
Was there this morning; great enthusiasm within the group!
Most DAs try the cases they can win and plead the rest down. They will typically go to great lengths to avoid pursuing charges against people that are in a position to bring substantial benefit or harm upon them. I always hated this and saw it as a serious lack of both integrity and backbone, to put it politely. I didn’t work for Guest, but based upon my limited, but factual, knowledge of his actions, I have no reason to feel any differently about him. Not. AT. All. Perhaps it was just a fluke and he really is as honorable and courageous as some think. I hope so.
