District Court Issues $6.4 Million Judgment Against Former Directv Contractor
On October 17, 2014, District Judge Daniel P. Jordan entered a judgment finding Herbert
Bruister, the former owner of Bruister & Associates, Inc., liable for $6,492,613.97. Bruister &
Associates, Inc., was a subcontractor for Directv that performed installation services. As part of
his business Mr. Bruister setup a Employee Stock Ownership Plan that allowed employees to
purchase stock from his company. Judge Jordan found that Mr. Bruister and his representatives
improperly influenced the valuation of the stock for his company, which caused employees to
pay far more for stock than what it was worth. The Court also entered an injunction preventing
Mr. Bruister and his representatives from acting in the future as fiduciaries or service providers
to ERISA covered plans.
Plaintiffs are being represented by Louis H. Watson, Jr., Nick Norris, Gary Greenwald, and
Charles P. Yezback.
Defendants are being represented by David Johanson, Douglas Ruebel, and Maison Heidelberg.
The case is currently pending before the United States District Court for the Southern District of
Mississippi. The case

When will the employees that worked for Bruster get a letter.Bc my husband busted his butt for more than 5 yrs for them.But it would be nice if they would inform all employees bc I remember it coming out of my husband's check.
