The Madison Police Department issued the following press release:
After
receiving a tip, on October 23, 2014 investigators with the Madison Police
Department learned that the vehicle possibly involved in the hit-and-run
incident on Old Canton Road on October 21, 2014 belonged to a resident of a
nearby subdivision. Further
investigation led investigators to an individual identified as James D. Daley,
Jr., W/M, age 50, of 193 Traceland Drive in Madison. Upon questioning, Mr. Daley subsequently
confessed to being involved in the hit-and-run incident. Mr. Daley has been arrested and charged with
one count of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injuries.

Madison don't mess around. JPD would still be scratching their heads
10 years minimum under the circumstances given; no mitigating facts will be taken into consideration according to most recent statute update.

maybe 10 yr sentence will shut up the 'you better not ride a bike on my road' crowd....
Traceland Drive has been home to a lot of crimes lately!
Or maybe it might just teach folks they aren't supposed to leave the scene of an accident, if they are unfortunate enough to be involved in one.
