Friday was the deadline this month for submitting campaign finance reports for state and county elections held this year. Here is my review of these reports. I will update several times today and tomorrow as I complete each race. I will review county races later this week as they require trips to the circuit clerk's office in several counties.
Phil Bryant raised $555,238 this month and $1,353,064 for the year. He reports $1,105,260 cash on hand. Phil Bryant is in the fund-raising lead with plenty to spare. What is interesting is Dave Dennis has raised roughly half a million dollars apart from his own donations. However, the consultants around him have managed to do quite well for themselves although nothing on the scale of Josh, Quentin, and Maggie, who had done quite well riding the Bryant gravy train. Mr. Bryant is obviously the favorite to take the nomination and the fund-raising numbers show it.
State Senator Lee Yancey raised $43,050 this period and $155,220 for the year. He reports cash on hand of $98,646 and spent $26,921 this period. Significant contributions: Billy Mounger $5,000. Report

And Phil is committed to taking the coast's BP tourism payments to salvage Haskell's Miss America pagent! When asked in Rankin County last month about the $10k donation and his promotion of Haskell's pagent, PB said it wasn't $10k, it was $15k that it took to buy him.
Yes, the Haskell donation is all about bringing the Miss America pageant to Mississippi.

You should look into Hinds County Constable Candidate JJ Hulsman. He is completely incorrect filing of finance reports. No one checks these on the county level. Where is he getting his money and what is he spending it on?
More reason to support my idea of pulling names from a hat. This is disgusting.
