Release the long term care facility name and location! Oh, I forgot, this is Mississippi, home of the good ole boy network.
.00017 mortality rate in Mississippi so far.
The yearly mortality rate is .0087 average.
Hey good ole boy idiot. Same reason they don't release the names of individuals who die from the disease. Get a clue.
Hey 2:35,
Actually it's not the same reason. You can't claim HIPAA as a reason not to release nursing home cases where there is more than one person who's tested positive. Several other states release this info, yet we still don't. It's because they don't want to cause a panic.
Unfortunately, though, that's not a reason to withhold records under the state's public records act.
Who is the lobbyist for nursing homes? They have power and deep pockets apparently.
Wait till Tate opens the government again and every one shows up at Public Safety for drives license. That will be something to witness.
Infections are not rising. Testing is. Tens of thousands had it and thought is was a light cold.
Sunday had the highest number of test in a single day. 422k. And one of the lowest positive numbers. 21k. Includes 56 State's and Territories.
Madison county is out of control. Maybe they need to go on lockdown.

Testing is rising and numbers will go up, of course but I don't think as many people have had it as people assume. Yes, millions have had it just because of the million confirmed cases we have that didn't slip through the cracks but there are 328 million Americans and if I had to guess I would say less than 10 million have had Covid. Still a long ways to go and I think it's gonna get bad.
Would imagine Madison county has those numbers because of Nursing homes and the amount of health care workers that live in then county.
By the numbers provided Hinds is also out of control. Is this due to county and Jackson or separate?
I live in Madison the City, and I do not know anyone who has tested positive, nor do any of my friends know of anyone who has tested positive. Isn't it time to start breaking the numbers down by voting precinct so citizens can know exactly where the infection is circulating? That would be useful information. Telling me daily overall infection rates and deaths no longer tells me anything, nor does the white/black ratio. What does that tell us? We are all human.
1:31 am Your math is likely faulty on the number of cases just based on the data from countries with more testing.
But, I will agree with you that in 3 weeks ,there will be a resurgence with the pre-mature openings, especially the ones with few restrictions or adequate guidelines.
The resurgence now might not be quite as bad if the heat and sun keep it from living in the air as long as it can now. Its the resurgence in Oct.
People in the Middle Ages were better at social distancing and wearing masks than we are.
Lock the state back down. (Not cause the covid; it’s just that the same dupes who put on a bubble suit and hide in their houses are coincidentally the same people that cause traffic problems)
If the wuflu is as deadly and infectious as some here proclaim, and our answer to the problem is lockdown and masks, this country is over, cause a large enough percentage will not comply, and an equally large number will attempt to comply, but fail at it miserable (see Chris Cuomo break out of his basement while infected).
