Hinds County Circuit Judge Faye Peterson ruled yesterday that Zebulum James is mentally competent to stand trial for the 2015 murder of Suzanne Hogan of New York. She set his trial for the November term. James (allegedly) went on a shooting rampage on November 19, 2015. He stands accused of killing another woman in the parking lot of Logan's Roadhouse on East County Line Road.
James allegedly killed a woman at the Shell station on Watkins Drive. He allegedly shot up a JATRAN bus. He drove to Ridgeland where he allegedly murdered a Kristy Mitchell in cold blood in the parking lot of Logan's.
A Whitfield psychiatrist testified James is mentally competent to stand trial at the short competency hearing. Public defenders Allison Kelly and Adofo Minko represented the bespectacled James.
A Madison County grand jury indicted James for murder in the death of Missouri native Kristy Mitchell. The Madison Circuit Court has not yet held a competency hearing for the accused.

I hope the piece of shit rots in jail and then burns in hell for eternity!
Well! No blessings in her courtroom! And how in the world did she lose to the eyebrow for DA?
No blessings in Madison. Build the wall.
Who in the hell names their kid Zebulum? That sounds like an anti-biotic. No wonder this kid has issues.
His momma prolly meant to name him Zebulun or Zebulon, a Biblical name meaning 'prince'. These people with Biblical names are not supposed to go astray unless society fails them. So, there's that.
Actually 3:28... he was failed inutero... in case you missed the memo, mental illness is a birth defect... and nobody asks to be born with schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, delusional psychosis disorder...
Sounds like he had the right doctor to write him a 'crazy note, 8:32. What the fuck are you talking about? You're nothing but another every-day apologist for society's thugs.
As a family member of Kristy Mitchell, mental illness does not give you an excuse to murder an innocent woman walking to dinner after a work conference. If he knew he had a mental illness he was not legally able to own a gun in the first place. If his family was aware that he had a gun they should have done something to remove it so he couldn't have an opportunity to do horrific things. He has changed the lives of her family forever that Kristy lived for. He should not be allowed to stay above ground ,get money put on his books for commissary privileges, call his family, receive visits. I wish they could put him 6 feet under the prison, and never let him feel the sun on his face again......
