Some thugs shot at WAPT Sports Anchor Tuesday. Mr. Jay posted these pictures and message on Twitter:
He tweeted he was at a stoplight on Terry Road when the shooting began. A man ran in front of him and started firing shots. Mr. Jay just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Jackson favorite thankfully survived the encounter.

I think this one was the best tweet response to him: "Bruh you ain’t move out that shit hole yet"
I wonder when the last time someone who reads this blog willfully drove down Terry Road? I haven't been down there since the 90's.
TO: Mayor of Most Radical City in the USA:
Thanks a lot. Nice goin'.
TO: President of the country with the most guns in the world who said he would fix gun violence,
CC: governor of the worst state in America
More guns are not the answer.
Sincerely,
Americans

Let me see if I understand what you are saying: That law abiding gun owners are the ones committing stupid random acts of violence such as this one? I will guarantee you one thing; if and when this shooter is caught he will have a record as long as your arm and probably stole the firearm he used. Wake up DUMBA&%! Taking guns away from law abiding citizens will not stop stupid things such as this. It's too bad Rob wasn't packing so he could have defended his life and eliminated the scumbag.
10:33 - You actually think these shit-faced thugs sit in the parking lot of Academy on Monday morning waiting for the store to open?
Cut 10:33 a break. You know that the offender would take a new gun law way more serious than theft, assault or murder laws currently on the books. Heck, he's probably just a victim of the fact that the current laws aren't effective enough to stop him already...
@11:35, you actually think Rob Jay should have pulled a gun and chased down the shooter in the midst of a gunfight? I’m guessing you are a big George Zimmerman fan, am I right?
Last week Kingfish made a post entitled #38 and I commented that I recently found a bullet hole in my vehicle as well. Sounds like this is becoming more common. My wife and I now wear body armor when we drive in the city. Jackson is like Iraq now.
Btw I never heard a shot. And I probably heard the bullet impact but thought it was a rock slung by another vehicle.
City of Jackson previously paid to fix damage to your vehicle caused by their neglect of the roads. I wonder if the city will pay your bill at UMMC for getting gut-shot while waiting for a traffic light to change while inside the city limits?
With the continuous exodus of people and businesses out of Jackson, there will soon be no reason to even go into the city limits except when passing thru on the two interstate highways.
And Mayor Lumumba will take dramatic action starting in ______________?
There are no black leaders. None. All the lynchings, then all the marches, then all the federal legislation, and what result? Minorities have the vote, but who gets elected? Leaders? Men and women who stand tall and brave?
All I see is despair. Rev. King died for this?
Has anyone heard any of the local loudmouths condemn all this violence? Chucky, The Kaz, Stokes, That preacher Stokes calls REEEEVVVV and others? You know they all read here because they all sit back and talk about "the blog".
Newsflash, they don't talk about the perception of crime because it takes away from the blame whitey mentality. I guess the good thing is the quicker they run the city totally in the ground, then the quicker we can start the process of gentrification.
To Hermit King, That will be a great court test of responsibility.
What an absolute FOOL Jackson has for a mayor! While he is doing nothing other than running his mouth, people are getting killed on the streets of Jackson everyday. Absolutely nothing will be done until the National Guard is brought in: It’s time!
George Flaggs is doing a fine job in Vicksburg.
I never drive into Jackson unless it is absolutely necessary for such things as doctors appointments. I don't work there and I'm thankful for that. I warn family and friends from out of town to avoid going in town when they come to visit. Sad. I grew up in a nice city called Jackson, but it doesn't exist anymore.
I've driven Terry Road recently. There are brand new sidewalks in some areas, too. It pretty much looks the same as it did ten years ago, but it is crumbling quickly though, with fewer home owners.
All of the older neighborhoods are in a sad state of repair, but such is the case in pretty much all of the urban areas in our country. The minute someone makes enough money to flee, that is what they do. I don't blame them, either. I moved from Jackson in 1991 because I wanted a television in my house and a radio in my car.
We all knew it was coming, but no one has the backbone to stop it, even if they could.
One of their own damn near gets it in the head and still they relegate the violence to a blurb during their news segment. Only they have the power to shine a light on the roaches that are infesting this city and yet they are not willing. Shame. they are a Joke.
