Open thread.

This post is an open thread.   Slick Willie spoke at the DNC last night.  John Hinkley, Jr. is getting out of prison.  Jackson is still plagued with JATRAN problems.  The local media STILL ignores the Mississippi Department of Education audit on Jackson Public Schools.  Thank you for the traffic since you met me have that story all to myself, by the way.  It was substantial.  It also appears we will have to wait another week to find out who else will be indicted in the Chris Epps scandal.  Saint Teresa appears in court today.  It is not known if her appearance will be sponsored by any of the local photographers or facial clinics. Meanwhile, Clinton Police arrested a Texas woman who left her child in the car while she went shopping at Walmart.  She allegedly gave them a bogus story.  Her mug is posted below.  Comment away on this and any other topic.

I quit listening to Bill Clinton when he came on tv, pointed his finger at the camera and lied to the world. Never could stand someone like Hillary from the beginning. Don't understand how anyone could vote for such a crook. This country must have a lot of people with no morals.

Interesting to see how the Freddie Gray situation turned out. I figured that they'd hang at least one of the police officers out to dry on that one. Prosecutor seems like a real idiot.

Also can't believe they're letting John Hinckley out of the psycho hospital.

Hillary visits a gifted-student primary school in New York City to talk about world affairs.

Afterward she goes to a question and answer session.

One little boy raises his hand and Hillary points to him and says, “Yes, what’s your name?”

“Kenneth,” says the kid.

“And what is your question, Kenneth?” she asks.

“I have three,” says Kenneth.

“First…What really happened in Benghazi?”

“Second…If you can’t handle two email accounts why do you think you should be President?”

“And third...What happened to the six billion dollars that went missing while you were Secretary of State?”

Just then the bell rings for recess.

Hillary informs the kiddies that they will resume right after recess.

When they resume Hillary says, “OK...Where were we...Oh yes…Question time…Who has a question?”

A different boy, Little Johnny, puts his hand up.

“Yes, what is it,” asks Hillary.

“I have five questions,” he says.

"One…What really happened in Benghazi?”

“Two…If you can’t handle two email accounts why do you think you should be President?"

“Three…What happened to the six billion dollars that went missing while you were Secretary of State?”

“Four…Why did the recess bell ring 20 minutes early?”

“And five…Where’s Kenneth?"

The prosecutors, and especially the D.A., are idiots. She went ahead and charged them before going to a grand jury and then grandstanded at concerts about it.

This is why you have courts and mob justice is often wrong.

Right now, some of the prosecutors are looking at some real bar discipline.

Juanita Broaddrick RAPED TWICE by Bill Clinton during infamous 1978 encounter:

Now Broaddrick has for the first time publically confirmed her account that Clinton raped her twice.

She said that after the first round, in which the much stronger Clinton had her pinned down for a period of time, she was relieved when she thought it was over and was hoping he would leave the room.

Instead, she says Clinton turned to her and told her words to the effect of “I am going to do it again.”

And then he did, she says.

Over in the Is Jackson Becoming Cleveland thread, the question has been posed as to what conventions Jackson has scored in the seven years since the much needed Convention Center opened.

As this is an open thread, I'll pose the same question here:

Has Jackson scored a major regional or national convention yet? If so, what was it, and does one big win in seven years equal success?

Looks like it is a glorified hotel meeting room for state agencies and real estate seminars to use.

Anonymous said...

10:27 That sounds like a fallacy, but ok.

Anonymous said...

It doesn't matter, the Convention Center is every bit the colossal disaster it was predicted to be (and more) and the dirty secret is that general obligation bonds were used to build it not the revenue bonds that voters were duped to believe would be used.

I'm no Democrat and I do not like Sanders at all, but the chicanery the DNC and Debbie and Hillary pulled on them is despicable. It takes an amazing amount of nerve to eff these people over and rig the primary against their candidate, then turn around and request, nay demand, their vote for his opponent. And to watch a smug POS like Sarah Silverman call them "ridiculous" makes me angry, and I'm on the entire other side of the ideological fence.

Chris McDaniel was a nut and I'm glad he's not our senator, but when Barbour and Lott and the GOP establishment recruited a bunch of Democrats to vote Cochran because McDaniel will reinstate slavery or whatever scare tactic was another side of this coin. For years these guys lived off the support and votes of the rank and file Mississippi GOP voter, but when they chose a different man, they were stabbed in the back and disenfranchised by the same people they supported for years.

I'm no Trump fan (I'm really a man without a country this election), but he won that nomination in spite of the establishment's attempts to thwart him. If the DNC hadn't juiced the primaries, Sanders may well be the nominee. I understand the frustration of those dirty hippie lefty morons. And their outrage is anything but ridiculous, Sarah.

I miss seeing boobs on Game of Thrones, not sure what I will do except anticipate West World for a few more weeks. HBO is kinda shitty once you get past the original programming. I have seen Matt Damon's dumb ass trying to escape mars a dozen times in the past 30 days.

Neither Politician running for the POTUS is likable, but I think Hillary is much more a liar and murderer than Donald is a self serving asshole. Maybe they both will spontaneously combust and we can start over.

I think that we live in a police state already. I am scared to go anywhere and get pulled over or pass through a road block sober for fear that I will be wrongfully charged with something to pad a municipalities pocket. I am also scared I might offend my kids and they might say something that would make the DHS take them away. I still don't know what is and isn't really legal when it comes to gun ownership, but I do know that if you break into my house, I am going to empty all three clips and then call the cops.

PC needs to be out, go piss in the bathroom you were assigned to at birth, if you are a hermaphrodite, you can literally go fuck yourself and not get pregnant. Your home and cubical or desk at work should be the only safe spaces allowed besides the hot yoga parlor you are paying for by the session. All lives matter, the politics of division make me sick and no one has the balls to stand up to it. Black lives matter reminds of the Walmart episode of south-park, it has become it's own sentient entity.

The only things that separated Madison, Rankin, and Jackson are artificially drawn lines and cops/judges/schools. Rankin is trashy, Madison is living on daddy's money and credit, and Jackson has gone ghetto. I hate all three and can't wait to retire elsewhere. Lets face it, there really is nothing to do in the tricounty area, we have no downtown to speak of, no professional sports, very few concerts or decent venues, no art galleries, and very few restaurants. I am sorry, but Fondren sucks and is a joke. I wish they would bring back the Recovery Room, at least you could get paid out on the cherry master video slot machine and have stimulating conversation with the florid drunks when not past out at the bar.

I haven't seen a good mainstream movie come out of Hollywood in some time. It is sad when Napoleon Dynamite is the last real movie about people that you can remember in a decade.

Thank you KF for doing what no other news source has the gonads to do in this area.

Since no one mentioned the JATRAN mess, the absurd idea to build a new Campus (8 million or so) on Highway 80 when your buses are falling apart due to neglect is criminal. The new facility is nice but just think how many buses could have been purchased with even a portion of that money, in fact they could probably purchased a car and paid the tag and upkeep for all the riders individually. Just simply another example of waste in Jackson.

Hey 2:45...you are spot on. PS- I bet Jackson could pay UBER to shuttle around the few bus riders that use the buses and close JATRAN and save millions....where is Harvey when you a good study!!

Where is the outrage?
That anyone, much less a candidate for President, would publicly ask any foreign government , much less the Russians to hack the State Department ( which would be necessary) or even the personal emails of any American citizen borders on treason. It's inviting espionage!
If you want to risk the danger of trusting one person to solve our Nation's problems, you damn well owe it to our military to make sure that person has some self-control and thinks before he opens his mouth!
My God, people, Russian hackers can now release any thing resembling an email and pretend it's from people in our State Department or government to Clinton with a reasonable expectation that the gullible will believe it and that our enemies will use it for propaganda! They can also reasonably expect Trump to collude with their efforts!

Jeez you liberals are dumb. Trump just laid the trap and y'all jumped right in. Obviously, from the vicious reaction of the media and the left, they know those emails are damning beyond repair and flat out treasonous.

Good luck dancing out of this corner.

Liberals and the media had absolutely no problem with the source when wikileaks started and then Snowden. They screamed "it's the content that matters, not the source." They just can't make up their mind.

It really amazes me that you can say f$&k, sh*t and a$$ but if you mention a certain demographic group committing crimes you are censored. I'm a blue collar white 51 year old white male, self employed and will lose our health insurance 12/31/16. I can't see that happening to others who don't work. It's a travesty. I put 3 children through private school, sent them to college and still sending 2 to mes school. Budget? I'm self employed. Your equipment breaks down then the budget flies out of the window. Oh yeah I've had financial advisors give me the damn talk about what I SHOULD do.....they are the only ones who benefit. The middle class white male who works in the PRIVATE sector is being screwed. I don't think I'm alone....just tired and by the way....Lin the mornings and afternoons take a look at the demographics of who works in the tri county area and then break it down by gender....black women carry the black race...white men and women are the burden carriers. Beam me up Scotty!!!

The DNC is now paying people to fill all of the seats that Bernie voters have abandoned. I guess we should be happy they are actually paying them. Their comrades around the world generally use the point of the bayonet to fill seats and solicit support.

To the person above who siad the republican party has been taken over by communists....you are a fucking moron, end of discussion.

It is always said that liberals have no sense of humor. This is just more evidence of that. Trump was tongue in cheek stating that maybe Russia can find the emails (evidence) that Hillary destroyed after subpoena. He didn't call for them to hack the state department. He just wants to see what they already have, bc we all know that whatever Hillary was hiding on her illegal server is known to them. Of course, this begs the question....isn't Hillary incredibly vulnerable to blackmail (by the russians, chinese, bill the IT guy) bc of her massive security breaches. Who knows what favors she will do if elected to keep those 33 freaking thousand emails she hid and ultimately destroyed? She already sold national resources and secrets for donations. Lord only knows how far she will go to keep that evidence quiet. That was actual treason, not made up lefty bullshit and lack of understanding of sarcasm.

Also, as someone pointed out above, how the hell can the media let Hillary's camp make statements that Trump was inviting the release of sensitive information when their was supposedly nothing sensitive in the destroyed emails? That would only be possible if Hillary was lying this whole time. Surely that is not the case?

Anonymous said...

People like us far outnumber the miscreants that we see marching and causing such a raucous. They can chant and act like fools all they want. If they push us far enough to "protest", it is going to be life changing for us all. IF the beast, the Hilldabeast, does win this thing, I truly fear for the future of our country. Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.

Note: Security provided by INS.
