Water main break? No way. Not in Jackustan.
Now this is indeed a situation that requires an emergency contract.
Not to start a pissing match...wasn't there a water main break last week in beautiful Madison the city?
It would sure help if they weren't exempt from property taxes.
There was a boil water alert one evening last week in Madison. Never heard any details, but the Chik-Fil-A was dumping out all their soda machines that used tap water.
I thought the 1 cent tax was supposed to fix all this...I guess Pete Perry is too busy keeping Thad in applesauce and suppositories to get the 1 cent silver bullet working.
A water main break in Madison is news because such an event happens so rarely.
You have to renew in person every other time (every eight years. I assume it is so you have a relatively current picture. The "photo booth" kiosks make the process quick and painless.
NEXT TOPIC FOR DEBATE: If your driver's license is 7 1/2 years old and doesn't look like you any more, can poll workers prohibit you from voting?
Wow. I guess the two people they usually have working got a day off.
Wonder if MHP had to fly the helicopter over the area to spot the break.
HQ doesn't do commercial licenses (except Class D, I think) anymore either. The only place in the metro area is Pearl, and you have to do them in person.

I'm sorry - remind me again what statutory authority Pete Perry has to appropriate Jackson municipal tax dollars?
Many Mississippi mayors endorsed Sen. Cochran because he has been so resourceful at getting federal money appropriated to destitute cities here, but he has the good sense not to micro-manage the dispersal of those funds.
9:41, a more accurate rendering of your comment would read, "federal BORROWED CHINESE money." Thad's been good with that stuff, all right.
Pete Perry sits on the committee that determines which projects the money goes toward. Pete Perry is the Governor's appointment to that commission that was created by the same legislation that permitted the people of Jackson to vote on the increase...Pappy isn't in the business of casting undue aspersions
