Wow. What about Austin and Spencer Copeland?
What??? I thought he was in the double digits, like 20 years???
he got off light!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable. That judge needs to be investigated himself. Anything short of 10 years is completely insufficient & a slap in the face to those he affected

Unbelievable!!! When and where?
Claiborne beats the system, yet again.
CF got what he deserved. No more, no less.
Which prison will he be going to? I need to know where to make my donation for his boyfriend. And don't worry folks, 60 months of at least weekly rape is plenty of punishment.
Kingfish: were you present at sentencing? Describe his demeanor? Was he taken into custody, or will report to prison later?
5 years in the pen is not "beating the system." When he gets out, he will be a felon with creditors hounding him basically forever.
He will report to a federal prison, not a state prison. He won't suffer.
The feds dismissed their case against Spencer Copeland.
None of the people bashing this sentence appears to be imagining some guys walking in on them and saying, "all right, you're coming with us to live in a cell for 5 years."
I don't know enough about what Frazier did to evaluate the sentence's fit to his crime, but 5 years is not nothing.
There are folks in prison serving longer sentences for doing a whole lot less than he did.
Judge Starett followed the federal sentencing guidelines to the letter. Based on the stipulations made by the government (amount of monetary damages, and the level of the sentence recommendation agreed in the plea agreement) the Judge gave the top in of the recommended sentence. Guidelines were for 41 to 63 months; Jude imposed 60 months.
All you armchair quarterjudges should get your facts before you start suggesting an investigation of the judge!
Left out of KF's post is that there is still a restitution sentence to be done in a few months. Also, there are a number of civil cases yet to be settled.
Selection of facility is left to the Bureau of Prisons; suspect likely facility will be Pensacola (close to family). Report date is July 14th. Hope he 'enjoys' life for next 90 days - after that, he ain't going to like Thursdays!
There are a whole lot of people in prison who didn't do ANYTHING. 5 years is worse than a kick in the nuts.
Is this an actual 60 month sentence? Or will this be cut in half like CE and Austin's sentences? A full 5 year sentence is nothing to take lightly
Austin going to Pensacola fed prison April 22. CE going to somewhere in North Carolina. I'd be surprised if Claiborne goes to either facility. I hear they will serve at least 80 percent of time. Then 3 years of supervised arrest. I
Don't forget Claiborne didn't even get tried for most of the crimes he committed. If he had, the dollar figure would have been much higher and he could have been looking at a serious 30 year term. He got off easy.
I think it was "supervised release"
Not arrest
What's the point of ridiculing a woman who has nothing to do with the situation? Does that, like a truck with big wheels, help with your peter-complex?
Anyone seen any of the defendants? I mean, convicts?
kingfish--did Austin and CE report to the prison yesterday? Thanks for keeping us updated.
Yes 12:29 ... Both CE and Austin self-reported to prison Monday the 21st. Austin is in Pensacola and CE was assigned to Butner Low in North Carolina due to his medical conditions. They have a medical center on campus at Butner to aid him if needed. They are both truly remorseful and are sorry that so many people were hurt because of their actions. They are in the process of putting this behind them and are currently paying their debt to society and will also pay restitution. The one that caused all of this heartache needs to take his ass to prison as well and quit blaming Austin. If Dad is in prison, Claiborne needs to be there as well.
Just amazes me how after ALL the lying, deceiving, stealing, etc. The main culprit in this whole mess still has no remorse & even seems to be in denial that the "mighty" Claiborne Frazier is going to jail. Does anyone know his report date and if his 60 month sentence can/has been reduced?
