Shhhh! Don’t tell my wife!!
I absolutely love Julia's voice. Such clarity, range. And she makes it look effortless. Not like the singers who look like they are in pain trying to reach notes. I will always be in awe of her singing.
Who wants to see that
Worked every performance at the Paramount on Capitol Street back in 1966. Still know every song by heart. Remember how we always cranked up the popcorn machine about 15 minutes before intermission, and kicked up the air conditioning to pump the smell into the theater.
Stay home. Our country needs malcontents like yourself sequestered away from normal people.
That'n gives me nightmares.
5:22, there have actually been some pretty good movies made with no Marvel characters in them, you should broaden your horizons.
Wizard of Oz starts 8/28 in the Sphere
What's a Marvel character?
Highly overrated, this one. There hasn’t been any decent American movie made since Pillow Talk in 1959.
Does anyone know if the Norwegian documentary movie "Folktales" is coming to Jackson?
My top ten movie list would certainly include it, but after writing down the list I worry I might be schizophrenic:
Goodfellas
Wizard of Oz
Saving Private Ryan
Pulp Fiction
Downfall
Sound of Music
Breakfast Club
Platoon
Godfathers 1 & 2
Apocalypse Now
Thanks for letting us know after the dates for the showings have past.
7:51, those dates are for 2025, not 2024. And you do realize it’s still August, right?
@2:45
I really enjoyed Flow earlier this year. It was relaxing some moments, and also exciting during others. Not a single hint of Woke DEI climate cult nonsense either.
@2:45 I just realized you said American movie. You are probably correct. Our movies have been garbage for a long time. IMO every movie of the year/decade is nearly always foreign. Flow being an another example.
Movies like The Sound of Music need a rap cover and more constant, pornographic violence for the present generation of moviegoers.
Left off "The Deer Hunter".
You are right - it certainly belongs, my bad
The Mission. Robert DeNiro, Jeremy Irons, a young Liam Neeson. Should have swept the Academy Awards in 1986. Incredible subplots, gorgeous cinematography. The ending shook me to my core. Worth the watch.
Masterpiece.
