Brandon is bringing back the lights - Christmas lights.
The most wonderful time of the year gets even brighter with the triumphant return of Magic of Lights. Brandon Amphitheater will once again be transformed into a breathtaking winter wonderland featuring a spectacular drive-through light display and enchanting Holiday Village. This beloved holiday tradition opens November 21 and continues through January 3.
Presented by Family Entertainment Live, Magic of Lights makes its highly anticipated return to Brandon Amphitheater for the 4th consecutive year. This year, Magic of Lights features the brand-new Reindeer Rest Stop or return of the Jolly Holiday Village, Featuring The Longest Light Tunnel in Mississippi at 400Ft, other mesmerizing light displays, holiday favorites, Village Activations, Brand New Uplighting for an even Brighter Experience!

Maybe Butch can take revenue from this event to move that statue that he so desperately wants to destroy.
This reminds me of when I was growing up in the 1960s. Our parents would get us ready for bed, in our pajamas, and drive around Jackson after dinner on Christmas Eve to see the decorations and lights at people's homes. Eastover, Meadowbrook and Northside Drive areas were like sugarplum fairylands to us.
Why tf would this be free? That's the mentality that has this world upside down now.

We were able to do this in Jackson in the 80s and 90s too. I distinctly remember it fondly. Same with Christmas shopping ant Metro Center. Unfortunately, the gates to those nice neighborhoods are now closed. And the ungated ones look like crap now.
The concerts at Brandon city hall and the Brandon amphitheater aren’t free either.
