Great job and glad LEO’s are safe!
I remember when Ridgeland and Madison were safe. How things changed
Keep Hinds county folk that flee down 220 out of Madison County and we'll be okay.
2:13 You can say that my house, and your house, are safe... until somebody's breaks in... right?
Good shoot. Just not good enough.
Ridgeland and Madison are still safe. Glad LEO AND innocent/uninvolved are safe.
I wonder if this is one of the guys JPD is looking for from last weekend's teenage crime spree.
What is this world coming to when someone has to steal a car just to go buy a book?
See so many bitch about Tag Readers. Ex; a stolen car plate is entered into the system by the agency reporting initial report. Then Bam! show up and pass one! HIT ! LEO is notified and this idiot is now off the streets. THIS is why LPRS's * aka tag readers ere helpful. Good job to RPD.
JPD reporting they are very familiar with the perp who has a "lengthy" record.
Madison and Ridgeland are safe. They located a stolen car and took down the criminal when he tried to hurt an officer. Unsafe would be this person still cruising in a stolen vehicle looking for his next target.
16 years of age and already attempting murder. No redeeming value with this yut. Prison.
Why I commute from Gluckstadt
Wife was at Renaissance when this happened. Law enforcement response was amazing. Massive amounts of LEO very quick to respond. It's tragic that something like this happens in our community (or any community), but thankful for a few seconds of insecurity rather than minutes or even hours.
So, a man got approached a stolen vehicle, cops bum rushed him with weapons drawn. When he tried to get away, cops open fired on the man. Thankfully, they didn't take the suspected stolen cat drivers' life.
Notice his "escape route" was 220 into west jackistan. When things went south, he knew to attempt to get to safe haven in Hinds county. Props to RPD.
Nope. Detective was working a stolen vehicle case. Tracked the vehicle down to Renaissances. Watched the car while he waited for the driver to show up. Crawford sees detective (allegedly) and takes off, striking the detective with the vehicle .
"JPD Chief Joseph Wade said his department is familiar with the suspect and that he has a lengthy criminal record, including a charge for murder." So why is he running amuck?
I was pulling up to the parking lot at Costco when I saw all of the police cars flying by. Folks need to face reality. Crime and lawlessness are spreading to the suburbs of our fine capital city.
Ridgeland sounds like a lawless hellscape. We need a new mall in Gluckstadt.
Appears running from Jackson problems by mass migrating to the suburbs isnt working out. Suburbanites, continue to ignore the Jackson cesspool at your own risk.
@3:22 PM This is beyond retarded. They would catch a lot more criminals if they searched our homes every single day too. But we have a right to privacy. Tag readers are another form of unlawful search. But i doubt a bootlicker like you understands the concept of liberty. You probably enjoy being violated and tread on.
Not enough to live in suburbs. The murder case involved a white kid who lives in a big house on the big water in Rankin. Drugs. The group is accused of murdering a NWR kid. I'd be fine with LPRs operating a toll gate on all crossings of the Pearl, but the Rankin dopers and their cousins who have moved into Rankin and Madison would just let them in. Dope. As Elton John, an addict, said, legalizing dope is the dumbest thing we could do. We invite dope, we invite migrants. We hire them as cut rate labor to make profits. And we pretend legal dope is not normalizing drug use as well as covering for the same old drug cartels. We are our own worst enemy.
It all goes back to Reefer Madness, the original gateway drug.
I won’t be able to rest easy until I know for sure that the poor dear’s civil rights and dignity weren’t assaulted.
Oh good Lord! People please learn something about a subject before commenting. I went to a very large university. I went to parties where people smoked marijuana and imbibed alcohol . and not a single one became an addict or drunk. Over a half century later, they still are. Indeed, when I moved to Jackson, adults were drinking and smoking weed at parties including those in Madison. The common factor in the very few here who became addicted to drugs ( some prescribed initially) and is that they were, for various reasons, very unhappy and insecure and seeking escape. Some came from dysfunctional families or were in terrible relationships. Indeed , they were stuck with hateful people in their lives who made themselves feel better by judging others in negative ways. Sound familiar?

You do not have an expectation of privacy on PUBLIC roads.
3:15 wasn't funny on FB either!
I definitely agree
