A shooting took place last night at Club Vibe on Ridgewood Road. WLBT reported:
witnesses say four people, including a security guard, were shot near a nightclub called Club Vibe....
Just behind that club, 3 On Your Side spotted one person being taken away in an ambulance.
A car was also surrounded by crime scene tape next to a nearby shopping center. The car’s windshield appeared to be riddled with bullet holes.Rest of article.

Get out NOW-- while you can!
Let me give some advice here: if the name begins with “club” you should avoid it. Club volcano, club 2001, club elite, etc etc.
Just across the street from the M-Bar. Same clientele.
You are taking a life or death chance going to clubs/bars. Why not just stay in your neighborhood and socialize with friends, family and have a good time!
Where were the cameras and security?
My suggestion go to places where the Mayors, Judges, Pastors and Politicians go to have a good time, you may be safer!
Oh, yea and go before 10:00pm. The Fools usually don’t come out early.
I had to drive that area last week for the 1st time in years and I wondered what "Vibe" was.
Another M-Bar.
Got it.
Nestled between the Hilton and the M-Bar. So much for having business guests stay there instead of downtown. The Sheraton Refuge is all that's left.
Liberals: Perception of crime.
Expand the CCID and Capitol police jurisdiction now!
What’s wrong with just going to a redneck bar? I’d much rather be roughed up with pointy toed cowboy boots or a cue stick than be shot. I guess M-Bar patrons haven’t developed an appreciation for Patsy Cline or George Jones.
11:56 - As an 'add on' to your advice, allow me to mention this: If the name of the place BEGINS with the word 'Club', avoid it at all costs. If the name of the place ENDS with the word 'Club' chances are you'll be safe.

According to Jackson’s crime rate in 2022, as recorded by the FBI Crime Reporting Statistics for 2022, the violent crime rate in Jackson is 733 violent crimes per 100,000 people, which is double the national average and triple the Mississippi average.
It goes on to list the 10 most dangerous neighborhoods/areas in Jackson and they’re ALL in the 39204 area. That area has a population of approx 744 people, yet it has 860% more crime than the Jackson average crime rate. In this area, there are 6,660 violent crimes per 100,000 people. This violent crime rate is 2,846% higher than the overall Mississippi violent crime rate and 1,748% higher than the national crime rate! The FBI actually recommends that people in this area stay inside at night.
2:34 p.m., I don't know where you accessed those figures, but can you see how Jackson compares to other cities, specifically? I'm always surprised to see how Jackson compared to the other large crime centers constantly mentioned in the media. In most cases, Jackson is usually worse - in quite a few, MUCH worse. In fact, for example, the last comparison I did a couple of years ago, Jackson was, as a percentage of population, just shy of being FIVE TIMES more dangerous than Chicago! Hard to believe, but it was/is.
The real tragedy is that, while the citizens of Jackson are in the streets day after day, doing their best to make/keep the crime rate as high as possible, the national media all but ignores them! Talk about unfair? Someone needs to be providing the national media outlets with information so that credit can be given where credit is due!
"My suggestion go to places where the Mayors, Judges, Pastors and Politicians go to have a good time, you may be safer!"
Help me figure that out. Mayors, judges and politicians go either to country clubs or trendy, expensive steak houses where money changes hands.
Not sure about pastors.
2:34 PM -- Your numbers don't make sense.
Though Club Vibe presents itself as a Sports Bar and Restaurant, its gallery of photos and ads show live, vulgar flesh shows, including women wearing thongs and performing twerking contests.
Is that shopping center zoned for (borderline) strip shows?
When such places were on Lakeland and in South Jackson, they included drug dealers and prostitutes.
The name does not have "club" in it. The name is Vibe Sports Bar & Grill, and also Vibe Sports Grill for short. The legal name is Vibe Enterprise LLC.
No one is safe in Jackson anymore.we have a battalion of MPs here. They should be called out if the JPD can't stop these punks and thugs. Jackson's leadership and PD are WEAK.
So vibe shootout and Texaco shootout, that’s pretty good for a Sunday. Maybe 6 or 7 shot and nobody died.
Shut it down! M club also!
6:00 that's too bad cause the ones that are shot up and live costs taxpayers BUNCHES $$$! ..you know they don't have insurance to cover their gunshot wounds. I know, I know... sounds terrible but it's the truth.
Law enforcement can’t combat Jackson culture and that’s what we are dealing with.
Just 100 yards from the Hilton?
No-go zone.
I used to go to Club Hilton years ago, but that was for a shoe-shine.
1001 was a meat market in the '80s.
4:38 pm— We didn’t mean to insult you, hoss, but have a question.
Do you check me for a gun at the door and, if lacking, issue me one?
Who cares what the legal registered name is. The local yoots refer to it as Club Vibe.
