A massive study published in The Lancet on February 16 states Covid-19 infection is just as effective as the two-shot vaccine in providing immunity to the virus. The study examined 65 studies from 19 different countries. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded the study.
Previous infection provides a rather strong immunity against earlier Covid-19 variants:
Our systematic review and meta-analysis provides a comprehensive assessment of the scientific literature on the protection against subsequent SARS-CoV-2 infection, symptomatic disease, and severe disease (hospitalisation or death) afforded by previous infection by variant and by time since the initial infection. Our results show that high levels of protection—on average greater than 85%— are present for ancestral, alpha, delta, and beta variant across all three outcomes (infection, any symptomatic disease, and severe disease). However, the omicron strain is a little bit tougher:
"The analysis shows the substantially reduced level of protection against re-infection or any symptomatic disease to less than 55% for the omicron variant, but that protection against severe disease from the omicron variant appears to be maintained at a high level."
In general, the findings for omicron sublineages showed significantly reduced protection when the past infection was pre-omicron. When the past infection was omicron, protection was maintained at a higher level, although less so for BA.4 and BA.5...The study found that infection provided stronger immunity than vaccines:
Furthermore, although protection from past infection wanes over time, the level of protection against re-infection, symptomatic disease, and severe disease appears to be at least as durable, if not more so, than that provided by two-dose vaccination with the mRNA vaccines for ancestral, alpha, delta, and omicron BA.1 variants (Nassereldine H et al, unpublished), which is also seen from studies directly comparing natural immunity to vaccine-induced protection.40 Protection against severe disease, although based on scarce data, appears to be durable up to more than 1 year for ancestral, alpha, delta, and omicron BA.1 variants."The study recommends reviewing policies regarding vaccination requirements:
The immunity conferred by past infection should be weighed alongside protection from vaccination when assessing future disease burden from COVID-19, providing guidance on when individuals should be vaccinated, and designing policies that mandate vaccination for workers or restrict access, on the basis of immune status, to settings where the risk of transmission is high, such as travel and high-occupancy indoor settings...
More than a few people said previous infection provided immunity just as strong as that provided by vaccines only to get shut down by big tech and of course, the government.
Oops. Bill Maher had a field day with this study on his show as he roasted an MSNBC host on February 19:

"The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded the study."
Immediately TLDR when I see that. Why do they feel the need to interject into the medical world unless it is for ulterior motives.
Jackson's drinking water also provides immunity-
Why aren't people talking about it? Money. Big pharma has bought the NIH and FDA as well as the media through its advertising dollars.
Is it possible to have natural immunity to
Covid without having been infected with it?
I've never been vaxxed and I've never had covid.
Thought I had it or the flu last year but negative for both. Just a wicked cold.
It all seems so silly in retrospect.
@1:54pm - Congrats, glad you weren’t affected. Millions of others have died though, so your anecdotal example doesn’t really mean anything other than you likely don’t have any empathy.
Why does any of this matter? If you get the shot, you can't pass Covid to others or get it yourself.........oh, wait
I'm starting a business selling tin foil hats. I'll post my website here first so I can retire within the year.
I remember when some people would try their hardest to destroy your life for saying "natural immunity".
"It all seems so silly in retrospect."
I probably does seem silly to someone who didn't die from it.
After almost 3 years of no vaccine and no covid, I finally earned my natural immunity...and it sucked. Bigly.
I was for every at risk adult getting the Covid vaccine but then they decided to ignore natural immunity, a scientific phenomena humans have known about since at least Ancient Greece. Once that happened, I knew it was a scam designed to increase uptake of the vaccine to increase the profits of pharmaceutical companies. I thank God every day I was awakened to that scam or I may not be here.
I'm just glad Reservoir Patrol didn't let us go out boating with our family who we live in the same house with because we would all die from Covid hanging around other people in the open air with the wind blowing. Reservoir Patrol reminds me of Gov. Whitmire and closing the garden section...totalitarians
@2:00 pm... millions die every year. They just changed the cause of death to support their agenda
The first March 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM, the millions that died, was that with COVID-19, or from COVID-19?
Haven't you learned anything in the past 3 years?
The so called "vaccines" were never safe or effective. In fact they may end up killing more people than the virus. For certain they never kept anyone from getting or giving Covid to others.
The key word is mRNA.
Now class...who wants to raise their hand and tell us why that is ?
@3:38pm & 4:34pm - Check excess deaths data during the Covid years, though I suppose that doesn’t really matter or fit the narrative you want to believe.
But I digress, I forget we’re all virology and conspiracy theory experts on here.
OK KF, if you say so.
But for me, I'll take my natural immunity and the vaccine both. Didn't cost me a dime; didn't take more than 30 minutes out of my 'busy' life back two years ago; didn't cause any bad reactions; and despite the tin-foil folks, I haven't seen anybody tracking me because of the isotopes or the tracking devices they injected at the time.
Natural immunity being better than the vaccine was always common sense for those of us that have it.
@7:32pm - You’re right. All vaccines are just scams for big pharma to make $$$, none of them have ever been better than natural immunity. Bunch of cons. I’m so glad the well educated blog commenters from Mississippi have such good common sense.
Yeah, @7:32, @9:05 is right. Big Pharma was never interested in making $$$; Big Pharma was laying awake nights, thinking only about whether it might be able to save us all from a horrible, hacking demise. Money was the farthest thing from their minds. @9:05 and I both still think you common-sensers, so-called, are superspreaders, and we're going to laugh at you when you come to the hospital for treatment and surgery as we heartlessly turn you away to go die your lonely, tortured death in the parking lot of some former shopping mall. We are still following the science, Bill Gates, Tony Fauci, @9:05, and I. So there.
I was right all along.
This was a total scamdemic
I remain to this day,
Unvaxxed
Unmasked
Unafraid
Uncompromised
You sheeple mocked and despised me.
I hold my head high, with pride and dignity.
For the last year the majority of people admitted to hospitals in most countries, with Covid 19, were "vaccinated". Some say this has become a pandemic of the "vaccinated". Can't be true because the Covid shots never were vaccines by the government's own definition. Better defined as mass gene therapy clinical trials.
As Alex Berenson recently wrote: "The key fact of Covid is this: the elites were wrong about everything. Every. Thing.
This concept may seem difficult to accept. Everything? Could public health experts - and the governments and billionaires who funded them, and the media outlets that carried water for them - really have been wrong about everything?
Yes, everything.
To take a non-exhaustive list:
They were wrong about masks, lockdowns, school closures, and ventilators. Wrong about how well the mRNA vaccines would work, and what their side effects would be. Wrong about whether kids should even be offered them, given their pathetic effectiveness for children.
Wrong to encourage censorship and stifle debate. Wrong when they predicted Covid would hit the developing world harder than wealthy countries. Most of all, wrong about the risk the coronavirus posed to anyone who was not at death’s door either because of age, other illnesses, or both.
I’m sure they were wrong about other stuff too, but that’s enough (for now)......."
And the bottom-line truth about the shots and their mandates:
"The protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn't protect the protected."
@5:47, we would have mocked you, but you chose to remain anonymous . . .
“The protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn't protect the protected.” That quote is the bottom line.
@5:47 likes to toot his horn loudly. I think I know who he is as he posts early and often. Congratulations on being unvaxed. I am too. The difference here is I will not rub these words in the face of others who loss loved ones during this. They don’t deserve to read or hear that from a loud mouth like you. Show some compassion like you profess to have when you’re at church.
You don’t make IgA, which is the antibody that is secreted in all your body fluids with MRNA vaccines. The jab never prevented infection, just sepsis. Go figure. One would think that high lord Fauci would have known this.
