Can't please anyone.

It seems Mr. Jeremiah Botty was offended by this post about him.  He sent me the following email:

Take your link down with me in it.

I replied:

1. First say please. 2. Why?

Please, I find it to be offensive.
I replied: "Why? You were paid in March by the campaign. You made the video. and that is how Kim Wade refers to Derrick Johnson et al on this show, which I'm sure you found to be funny."

Now, make no mistake. I have nothing for or against Mr. Boddy.  I've heard him make his case on Kim Wade's radio show. He has a strong conservative voice and makes his points very well.  Obviously I was having some fun with him in the earlier post.  However,  my point was that it was a little disingenuous for him to run around spouting on Youtube for the Tea Party how offended he was by the Cochran campaign canvassing for votes at his church when he conveniently left out the fact he was paid by the McDaniel campaign this year.  That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. Its all about the disclosure or in this case, the lack of disclosure.  In other words, Mr. Boddy, if you are man enough to take a check or put yourself out in public doing what you did on Youtube, then you are man enough to take some heat. ;-)  Welcome to politics.

Naturally that means I am for the Cochran side and against McDaniel, right? Well, a strong and well-known supporter of Thad Cochran didn't think so as I got this text message late last night:

"Your comments in your latest post confirm what I said about the crap you did in the days before the first primary.

Clearly you have chosen sides here and clearly a side I disagree from. While I could call bullshit about several of your comments I am nor because if I tried to call you out on your site you just would not post them."

Oh really? Sometimes I play devil's advocate.  Sometimes I just like to pull someone's chain. In this case I've been repeatedly accused by both sides of helping the other side.  The McDaniel camp accused me of being a Cochran plant when I broke the story about Constitutional Clayton and the Cochran camp was not happy when I posted the story about the sign vandalism in Starkpatch.  The McDaniel followers accused me on Facebook of being pro-Cochran because I didn't allow comments about an alleged affair.  So I allowed them and gave them exactly what they wanted.... which meant I also allowed the other side to make similar comments about McDaniel and someone else.  Can't please anyone sometimes, especially when some see conspiracies everywhere.

Got to love the last 24 hours before an election.

You've managed to piss off both sides, so you must be doing something right. Keep up the good work.

Hah....
After this mess is over with, this site will still be highly relevant and the whiny nincompoops won't.... Supporters on both sides, that is.

They sure do love freedoms afforded by the constitution until the aforementioned freedoms affect their "public image" or conscious.

I hope one day both sides re-read this blog in a couple of years, and see how absolutely pissy, ridiculous they are to us "regular" people. screaming little titty babies. BWWWAAAA BWWWAAA!!!

Kingfish: your headline with the Jeremiah Boddy story was over–the–top. It accused Mr. Boddy of impropriety when his endorsement actions, by all appearances, were/are sincere.

It has been pointed out by others that when Pete Perry was discovered to have accepted $60,000 from the Cochran camp, there was no similar headline asking the likes of "60,000 pieces of silver can buy a lot of outrage." Well, we are still waiting.

If you think you come across as being neutral, get a clue. You have been quick as lightning to report anything that disparages McDaniel. For instance, the courthouse lock-in. I enjoyed watching that one turn on you and the Cochran people who, because you were the source, bit hard into it. Of course, much to your and their chagrin, in the end Pete Perry is the only one who came out looking suspect.

Let's compare your trying to gin that up into a scandal when there was none to the recording of Cochran making the bizarre "indecent things with animals" comment. You were silent on this incredibly noteworthy (and tape recorded) event until over a week after it occurred.

That event was the buzz of Mississippi. Even the apolitical guys I work out with at the gym were talking about it the next morning. A few days later it made it into the national discourse through the DrudgeReport. It then made it onto Stephen Colbert's show. Ffnally, with the story having peaked and Thad plummeting in the polls, only then did you acknowledge it even existed.

Fair and balanced. Yeah, good luck with that.

No reason to read your comments now let alone a couple of years from now.

If there was any doubt about Kingfish being a Cackroon shill, his recent non-censorship of all the crap about McDaniel and the Klan should clear it up.

If that crap were about anybody else, KF would have mounted his 'management' horse and declared the subject off limits and slanderous.

Of course this post won't get in under the radar either.

Jeremiah Booty has made an A$$ of himself. Would he be outraged if McKlaniel had gone to his church? Maybe Chocran should of hired him would of gotten a lot of outrage for $1200. Apparently outrage from Mr. Booty is for sale to the higgest bidder!

Wow. That took a alot of thought and effort, didn't it. I wasn't aware I was supposed to post every thing out there about this race until YOU were satisfied.

I got the pictures of the Desoto County stuff around 5 AM. Just one problem. There was no arrest yet as no judge signed a warrant. Then I went to the jail out in Raymond to cover the reopening of Pod C. Then had a two hour meeting once I got back from Raymond. Wow. I'm just supposed to drop what I'm doing and come post what you want so you will be satisfied.

Its pretty simple. If there is something that EVERYONE is posting, I tend not to post it unless I can contribute something or its unavoidable. The last 24 hours of an election like this I tend to be careful. I wasn't posting anything until I got a report he was actually arrested. Those who did yesterday actually jumped the gun.

As for the Breitbart story, I guess you missed this post Saturday where I posted Ricky Cole's FB message about vote buying. I was even accused of helping the McDaniel camp with that post so since I have no proved you are lying through your teeth, you can go do what L.C. Murray suggested to State Senator Tony Smith.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
