Not much of a report.
"a subject approached his vehicle with a weapon in his hand."
That's pretty much what every cop at a traffic stop does. It's called aggravated assault, but most of them don't get shot.

That's not what cops do but you dumbass burnout murder types always think alike.
mmmmm no 3:32, most cops didn’t in my 40 year career.

WTF are you talking about? A deputy is sitting in his patrol unit and a guy walks up on him carrying a gun. I’m guessing suicide by cop.
Go to youtube and watch a few dash and body cams...
@ "A deputy is sitting in his patrol unit and a guy walks up on him carrying a gun."
Yeah. If that's the whole story, crappy reporting. It's 100% legal to walk around with a gun, even around cops. If there's a bit more to the story, like some sort of threat, well that wasn't in the report.
10:07 is either Ronnie Milsap or Stevie Wonder if he can't see the threat.
10:07 again proves Forrest Gump’s mama was right.
@ 7:00…distinct difference between open/concealed carry as opposed to BRANDISHING. The two occasions in my life when I had LEO stop, I displayed my empty hands and advised the Officer I had a weapon on or about my person. No problems. Not as much as a citation. Had I placed the weapon IN MY HAND “Hey..look what I got!”…. well…I dare say, I wouldn’t be typing this today. I suspect, even with the given examples, you still fail to distinguish the differences. As an aside, a piece of life advice….stay away from careers requiring spur of the moment judgement. Just sayin.
7:00 is just looking for an argument.
He/She is not that stupid.
I hope.
A lot of difference between somebody being pulled over and telling the officer there is a gun in the vehicle - And a man pulling over in front of a stationary car occupied by an officer and walking back to that officer's car holding a firearm.
If you can't see the difference, you ought not be out in public without adult supervision.
