Mississippi Board of Dental Examiners Executive Director Chris Hutchison is now former Mississippi Board of Dental Examiners Executive Director after Friday's Board meeting.
It is not known whether the Board fired Mr. Hutchison or if he resigned after a strong um, suggestion that he do so.

Is this taking a bite out of crime? It certainly goes beyond a simple chewing out.
Arrogance precedes Karma
They removed his gold crown.
Next guy appointed will be an implant.
HEY! I'LL BE HERE ALL WEEK!
Is this the clown who was seen around town wearing a badge and a gun?
WHY DON’T THEY APPOINT A DENTIST AS THE DIRECTOR? One that would take a “bite out of crime” instead of commit a crime.
5:18, yep.

Need a new board! What the hell were they thinking keeping that liability as long as they did! Serious questions, also the AG s attorney was/is involved with this idiotic board, hmmm!
KF, thanks for "filling" us in.
Chris is an good guy. The wolves got him. Hope y’all are happy.
"WHY DON’T THEY APPOINT A DENTIST AS THE DIRECTOR?"
I assume no working dentist would take the pay cut involved in being a bureaucrat.
The public demands the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth
8:08pm agree.
Presumably his departure will leave a cavity that will need filling.
Tell me you're in way over your head without telling me you're in way over your head:
"tenure my resignation"
Regardless of whatever you clowns may say, he is a hell of a good dentist, I had a painful cavity and he extracted the tooth with one well placed glock shot. "BANG". Problem gone.
Good guy or not, a dental board director parading around like he's law enforcement isn't a good look.
He didn't have enough "tenure" thus he "tendered" his resignation and turned in his badge and six-shooter.
Does he still get to keep his badge for the law enforcement lunch discounts?
Unethical is unethical. He made crappy choices and faced the music (in this sense dental drill music). So the board wants to keep someone unethical yet enforce laws for dentists in this great state he speaks of? Hypocrites.
This is a JJ story that I can get my teeth into.
This one makes sense.
Damn....a thousand comedians out of work and ya'll trying to be funny.
Sounds like a snowflake with all of the "woe is me," victim mentality stuff. Bless his heart. Have fun making a living in the private sector like the rest of us.
Hey Jackson Jambalaya,
You think maybe a planted smear campaign on your part had anything to do with this? Your blog posted those pictures and conveniently took the focus off of the sleazy dentists who are wielding power unchecked. Obviously none of these comedians have actually read that scathing resignation letter. It points the finger right at a few dentists who think they control the Mississippi dental world all by themselves. You better be damned if you try and cross them. Behind the scenes schemers 1; Positive change for Mississippi 0. You tried, Chris.
Thank you for the story Kingfish. Stories like these don't always get the time like you give them. These stories help put together things that happen farther down the road that would otherwise be confusing. The past story about this guy wearing a badge and gun for that position helps people understand the letter he wrote by being able to see through the hyperbole.
With that letter, there goes his weekly Unemployment Compensation download.
Picking his teeth and Leaving "chewed-up" chicken bones on the table at multiple lunch spots didn't look good for him either.
These Boards all exist in the background except for the few who interact with them on occasion. I had a local dentist tell me, recently, how valuable and important this Board is to his profession.
I just never understood why they would hire or retain a guy who behaves like Festus ordering a steak at the hotel.
I have a legit question, does the Executive Director of the dental board get issued a badge and a gun? Are they sworn law enforcement or deputized in their duties. The answers to these questions will answer a lot of questions.
He left because he couldn't handle the tooth....sorry..

No his job was not that of a certified LEO. He had the badge made up and open carried which I don’t think you can do inside of a state office. The biggest problem was the Trash can full of beer bottles in his office . Drunk at work with a loaded gun= liability!
TBH, it is about damn time they got rid of this narcissistic piece of sh*t!!! None of any commenters on here, really know what happens behind closed doors. Staff has put up with his attitude far too long, and the Board, don't get me started... They didn't want to do anything, so Chris got the BIG HEAD, and got knocked tf down, finally!
When I say, you don't know what happens behind closed doors, YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS BEHIND THOSE DOORS! He screamed and yelled at every staff member, he even went to the point of calling one employee an immature little bitch.
I hope you are loving the Karma, Chris!!
Yours Truly! ;)
@10:07 no they are not law enforcement certified. They cannot make arrests. He just wanted to wear a badge and gun and pretend……
Executive director “put down that drill or I’ll or I’ll…… well I can’t arrest you but i’ll show you my badge and gun. Pew pew”
Good ole kingfish. Filters his comments, love to talk about how awful the dental board is but does not a thing to help make it better.
From the outside, looking in, can someone explain how Chris Hutchinson was appointed to lead the board? He is not qualified. He has never been qualified. He did not even attend Ole Miss and none of his kids did either. He just wears the game day gear everyday. This guy is and always has been a clown. Who does he know that is connected enough to get chris placed in that job? Whomever it is should have their access to the higher-ups revoked. Money should not buy this kind of fiasco to happen.
"tenure my resignation"? - holy crap! Can they claw back whatever they paid this moron?
99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer.
The question still remains and needs to be answered: who appointed Chris Hutchinson to executive director and why?
He has always thought he was untouchable. Especially when he ‘worked’ at the PSC. CH, so what I heard the other night…..a train……choo choo choo……..a big karma train. Go sit in your little world of pathetic. It’s always been with you someone else’s fault what has happened to you when it is your own silly self that shoots yourself in the foot. Remember walking up in that courthouse in No. Mississippi for a utility hearing!? No one, not even the Commissioner could take a gun in there. But, you and your big bravado and ego just had to do it. And now I read about this. Tisk tisk, CH. cry me a river. Get over yourself.
