Proud for Brad. The Dude hung in there as attorney for Pelahatchie at a time when lesser men would have just resigned and told that incompetent mayor to go f*ck herself.
What does Pelahatchie Mayor have to do with the appointment of Brad Mills? Confused. Sounds like a bitter person.
Class act and good lawyer.
Good guy. Proud of him.
"The Dude hung in there as attorney for Pelahatchie at a time when lesser men would have just resigned and told that incompetent mayor to go f*ck herself..."
...the same attorney who told the mayor that it was proper and legal for the town to be using the drug seizure funds the way they were? And I'm not sure how he "hung in there" when he resigned just over a year into his position, but ok.
The same month he resigned from Pelahatchie and began a part time position as a public defender for the circuit court, Rankin County paid him nearly $7,000. Hm. Good for him, though.
As far as your disrespectful and bitter comment about the mayor, you may as well give up on that. People know the truth now. She's a far more competent and determined leader than most people would be in her position. Pelahatchie did something right when they elected her.
Good for Mills for this appointment, though. Seriously.
Couldn't be more thrilled. It's about time we get someone who is not a prosecutor/cop in that position.
There are dozens of more qualified experienced people to serve in this role.
He won’t win an election to this seat imo as other more deserving people will run to fill this seat.
"...working hard to protect the rights of Mississippians." OK, Tate, if you say so.
Congratulations. A good pick despite the above Debbie Downers
to 4:28....permit me to post a translation to your comment............''..there are dozens more qualified loudmouth ,fat-ass, ignorant, neo-nazi , red-neck members if the rankin county republican party political machine to serve in this role.''
back in 2010 a certain rankin county circuit judge allowed a criminal defendant to be prosecuted for burglary by his own former defense lawyer whom had met and discussed the case with the defendant a dozen times. the jury convicted and the supreme court reversed the case on a unanimous opinion. unanimous opinions are a very rare occurrence . dont take my word for it. read all about it in state v kevin d. ethridge.
this is the sort of thing that usually happens in iran, cuba, or red china, but it happens here all the time but its covered up by the republican party
bosses to save the judge from embarrassment. that certain circuit court judge was on the cusp of retirement at the time, so this matter was kept very quite so as not to sully his media-manufactured reputation as ''a quiet man''.
A ambulance chasing personal injury lawyer will now be hearing tort claims in Rankin County. What a horrible appointment.

A thousand cases??? Come on!
correction.....the case mentioned by 8:51 is state v kevin d ELDRIDGE
Southern Scrutiny @842, bless your heart. No one from Pelahatchie thinks she is competent. Even the black folks. You’re trying to fight a battle that will make you look like an idiot in the end. So thankful the Ryshonda era will be over soon. Can you answer this question? Was Ryshonda living in Pelahatchie before she ran for mayor, or after she was elected? Whatever happened to her private counsel Bellinder? Haven’t heard much from him lately. He give up on her antics too?
Congrats to Brad!
@8:51 I don't even have to look it up to know it was Chapman. One of the worst judges to ever sit on the bench. He never seemed to understand, as most judges in Rankin type counties don't, that his job description and true justice demandsed he protect the rights of the accused just as fiercely & fairly as those of the state. And I'm certainly not saying he should have been soft on real crime but he was over there sentencing people to 20 years or more cause someone accused them of eating their hamburger without their permission and im only slightly exaggerating..
to 9;38am ...wrong...it was not chapman

People regurgitating corporatist propaganda "ambulance chaser". You are buying into what the socially far left woke corporations are selling you so that they can get away with hurting people without losing money. lIbErTaRiAnIsM rOcKs!
Abortion, BLM, transgenderism combined with depriving poor/middle class people of ACTUAL JUSTICE when they are hurt by a corporation. What a combination.
I am as conservative as they come and cannot stand when people are stupid enough to buy into this "ambulance chaser" nonsense. Do you realize that without the "ambulance chasers" you would never be able to hold a corporation accountable if they severely injured you or your family?
Open your eyes.
