Heeeeeeeeere we go again. Hinds County District 2 Supervisor David L. Archie stands accused of abusing his wife. WJTV reported yesterday:
Mr. Archie was arrested in 2016 for domestic violence. JJ reported on July 12, 2017:
Wife-beatin' apparently is a-ok in Jackson. Jackson Municipal Court Judge Ali Shamsid-Deen didn't fine nor imprison one David L. Archie for domestic violence. Jackson police arrested Mr. Archie for domestic violence on September 7, 2016. His wife contacted JPD on September 3. The report states:
Officer Juliana Chisholm IBM 1789 met the complainant in the driveway of her home. The complainant gave the officer a statement she had already typed, dated and signed. The complainant stated the incident happened when she walked into the house after returning from a party on September 2, 2016 at 1145 hours. She stated the suspect jumped up yelling at her about a photo that was sent to his phone. The complainant stated the suspect refused to show her the photo and then the suspect wanted to see her phone. The complainant stated she told the suspect no and he began to punch her multiple times. The complainant attempted to get her phone from her purse and the suspect put her in a choke hold. The officer observed heavy bruising scratches and red markings just behind her left shoulder. The complainant did not want AMR and the children were at home but asleep in bed. The complainant said she waited until the suspect went to work and then she went to signs charges on him. She didn't know she had to have a case number.He was arrested on September 7:
Mr. Archie was booked but Judge Shamsid-deen released him without requiring a bond. The case went to Judge Shamsid-deen a month later. The Judge Shamsid-deen did not fine nor imprison Mr. Archie but did order him and his wife to participate in family counseling. The court abstract is posted below.
Kingfish note: This case is a perfect example of why Mississippi is a horrible place for victims of domestic violence. Mrs. Archie comes home, suffers the abuse, and calls the police. It takes courage for a woman to do that because she has to live with the abuser, he controls the finances, you know the drill. This woman comes to the criminal justice system for help. The police did its job. Then Judge Shamsid-dunce gets his hands on the case. The abuser is turned loose- he doesn't even have to post a bond. Call it a Get Out of Jail Free Phone Call. Mr. Firm But Fair then convicts him of a misdemeanor but imposes no fine or incarceration on Mr. Archie. Of course, this is the same judge who gave a $50,000 bond to Deryl Dedmon after he killed James Anderson.
Firm but fair indeed.
Mrs. Archie has NOT filed charges. It's tempting to say it's on her now. However, she already went to the police once and Shamsid-dunce took the side of her abuser. Why should she go to the cops? She probably thinks they will protect him yet again.

Clinton folks learned their lesson. They thought Waller had a chance (or really they just don't like Tate THAT much) so they voted in the republican primary. Next time they won't and Archie is gone. Maybe he can run against Graham and just finally admit he lives in district one.

Too bad for her. She lives on the Hinds County Plantation and he is a "supervisor". Her only hope is with the federal authorities and they have no jurisdiction. She had better leave before Boss Archie hurts her bad.
But on the other hand, look at all the progress we have made in Hinds County.
Maybe he can run against Graham and just finally admit he lives in district one.
Graham has known the story all along about where Archie did and did not live. Don't forget Graham's past which has been well documented here at JJ for the past 14 years.
Forget it, they will redo the districts prior to the next election once the census comes out. Now that all the whites have been banished, the three amigos will draw self-serving district lines, almost guaranteeing re-election.

So here's more evidence of a lying sack of no-decency, no-shame Archie. The Bible poses a character test based on a man's treatment of his wife and children. How much more does Hinds County need to convince it that this idiot has but one conscience - HIMSELF- at the expense of everyone else in this county. McQuirter tried... I guess that he got wore down fighting by himself. As for the rest of the county, keep looking forward to the day when Archie will be gone... or will he ever be gone

Mr Archie why didn’t go to the party with your wife? And why are you looking at pictures someone sent you of a party your wife attended?
Mr Archie, Can you say, you may be a little simple for questioning and or abusing your wife to make up for your shortcomings.

I thought the Club View house was her's. How can he kick her out of her own house? Seems to me he's trespassing if she wants him to leave.
People close to both partys is saying, David caught her cheating. When she went home 2 days later he threw her cloths out and told her to go back were ever she been the last 3 nights. He never hit her, it was just a bad argument.
Isn't this the house Archie said he didn't live in? So he could run for Supervisor, he listed a run-down shack elsewhere that's actually within the borders of the district he represents? This man is lower than pond scum on the evolutionary scale of human development.
It would be interesting to know if Archie owns/possesses any firearms. That would be a felony under federal law, even for a misdemeanor DV conviction. That would be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's office.

(i) Attempts to cause or purposely, knowingly or recklessly causes bodily injury to another;
(ii) Negligently causes bodily injury to another with a deadly weapon or other means likely to produce death or serious bodily harm; or
(iii) Attempts by physical menace to put another in fear of imminent serious bodily harm.

Domestic violence, in this day, is certainly not limited to current or former spousal arrangements.

Going after abusers is one thing, when you go after David, please go after ever sorry ass abuser that hits, abused, fights and emotional damages is partner, wife, etc. Go after that damn legislator in the House of Representatives that abused his wife too...
Supervisor Archie will be President of Hinds County Board next January 2022 ...Supervisors should re think rotation structure immediately.It’s impossible to serve as Board leader of the State largest county with a public record of wife abuse . It’s only a private matter when no one knows it becomes a public issue when it was played out on social media and public network across the entire State of Mississippi. It’s okay for Supervisor Archie to indicate that he has a anger problem we are all human and have some kind of illness next step is to get help long term rehabilitation before he really causes harm to his family and the public. This responsibility falls back on his fellow colleagues Robert Graham , Credell Calhoun , Vern Gravin and Bobcat . Voters are watching your next steps .
