Trump Cancels Jackson Rally

President Donald Trump cancelled his rally that was scheduled to take place in Jackson Friday due to Hurricane Florence.  Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith stated:

Cindy is honored to have President Trump's endorsement and support in this year's election. However, as our neighbors on the East Coast prepare for Hurricane Florence's landfall, we agree with the decision to cancel this Friday's rally.

"Mississippi residents understand what it's like to prepare for, endure and recover from a major hurricane. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in the path of the storm."

This Hurricane, will not only blow up the Carolinas and Vigina, that growing economy is about to take a hit along with them too.

Trump threw his support for Chris

Let's ask Puerto Rico what is takes to prepare for, endure and recover from a major hurricane. Based on Trump's heretofore lack of concern for storm victims, his cancellation sounds like a mighty flimsy excuse.

Good News everyone!

The roads won't be totally messed up because of the typical 'VIP' treatment on Friday. You'll be able to drive home after all.

Anonymous said...

Dang, do you think all of the planned protests will still go forward? Surely they can draw a crowd based on their own ideals, and without relying on Trump to give them an audience.... BAHAHAHA

Anonymous said...

I think you can add Trump's weak excuse for missing this event to his list of 4,000+ proven and documented lies, contradictions, etc. Gee whiz and give me a break, this guy is totally incapable of telling the truth and lies on an almost daily basis...

Anonymous said...

Wait until you see how many still show up to see an empty building, everyone knows his supporters aren't that bright.

Smart decision to cancel. Looks like this is going to be a horrible storm.

Fantastic, anyone running for office should be trying to distant themselves from this fool. This will be the first time in my forty plus years of voting to vote against the GOP....never thought I'd do it but the GOP has aligned itself with our petty president too long already.
I'm sure the Kremin is estastic with the current political events of our country. It's past time for the GOP to take to initiate plans to remove Putin's puppet.......

The only reason why they received crappy support is because this President thinks its a foreign Mexican country along with 100% of his supporters/base.

Cindy and Phil will now spend three days attempting to make hay out of barnyard manure (farmer terminology in use here). Trump knows Phil stepped in chicken shit when he gifted Cindy with the reigns to a wagon she can't steer.

The only person at this barn dance who can help drain-the-swamp is McDaniel and Trump knows it.

Not sure what a potential storm on the east coast has to do with a rally in Mississippi, but, however Junior Samples Bryant and Minnie Pearl Hyde can spin it, they better get after it quickly.

She'll Be Comin' Round Th Mountain said...

Will Cindy and Phil get a refund of the money they paid to reserve the buckboards and yodelers?

Anonymous said...

Of course he did. If he and Melania were tied up in Mississippi, they couldn't possibly go to Possumpecker, NC and help board up and then, go help folks cut out drywall. Plus, there are the optics of the POTUS campaigning during such a time and we all know that if there is one phrase that sums up Trump, "appearance of propriety" is certainly a strong contender.

One tell is that it was canceled rather than rescheduled (as far as I've heard thus far). A bigger tell will be whether it is rescheduled AND actually takes place. If I were betting, I'd lay odds that "dumb southerners" and "mentally retarded" come into play somewhere in all of this.

If y'all think these comments are hateful just imagine if Trump had come and the storm did major damage to the East Coast. They would be blaming him for not being in the White House when it hit. The man cannot do anything to please the haters.

As a southern Democrat, I didn't think I'd ever see the day Mississippians would fall prey to a New York City wannabe mobster?

There is nothing common about the man or relatable. He's a spoiled trust fund baby that was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

He doesn't know the first thing about the blues, rock'n'roll, down home cooking. At least with the last 4 presidents you've seen them in a pair of jeans one good time?

Look at every Mississippi politician from both sides of the aisle, you've seen them in a pair of Lee's or Levi's at least one time.

The Mango Dictator is a fraud and huckster! It's downright criminal how Mississippians are proud to admit they voted for a snake oil salesman.

You may despise Cindy or even hate Cindy. The McD’s can even decide to support a D over an R if someone other than McDaniel. But one thing is absolutely rock-solid certain. McDaniel will not get elected to the U.S senate. Period. End of story. And in a few short years almost no one will even remember who McDaniel is. He will be relegated to history as a minor and trivial footnote who once came close to getting elected to the U.S. senate but failed. Yo can take that to the bank.

Anonymous said...

@ 9:05 - I think KF should apply some sort of locator function to the people who post here. Since most of us post anonymously (because we know exactly what will happen if we dare identify ourselves), it would be interesting to see who actually resides in or near the area. My guess is most of the comments above in which we are described as toothless, square dance callers, dumb southerners, etc. are, most likely, NOT local residents. Otherwise, they would know that MOST of us actually well-educated, God-fearing, people who do wear shoes (in public anyway) and have at least one indoor bathroom. I have lived all over this country so I know first hand that, with the exception of those ultra-affluent jackasses who work in the "entertainment" industry (which includes the NFL), people in the mid-west, the far west, the east coast are NO DIFFERENT that the people in Mississippi. Not in ANY way.

Trump wants to stay close to the east coast so he can toss rolls of paper towels at storm victims. Great photo op for Cult 45 supporters and other proud members of the Bigfoot Party, and would show his empathy for the victims.

6:36 PM Southern Democrat, assuming Trump is a New York mobster, and most all can agree he was raised a spoiled trust fund baby with a silver spoon in his mouth, and even assuming all of your other post accusations are true, let’s just chalk it up to Trump being a first class shit eater.

But you know what, he’s our shit eater; and our shit eater pales in comparison to the corruption of your shit eater pathological lying assed Clinton’s and Obama’s.

As a young idealist who voted for Perot, the absolute dumbest vote of my lifetime since if the elder Bush had been re-elected our way of life as we had known it possibly, maybe even likely would not have changed like it did on September 11, 2001 since Bin Laden and al-Qaida thrived and were not dealt with while on that P---Y Clinton’s watch, I am proud that Americans with that Founding Fathers gene of self reliance and morals, i. e. we don’t need some F-ing King or Queen to take care of us, finally woke up to how ignorant it was to stay home and cut off our noses to spite our faces.

I guess its kind of like that famous scene in A Few Good Men, Trump’s existence “while grotesque and incomprehensible” is probably saving this country.

Hell even the even the evangelicals have awakened to the fact saving 8 month old babies from being carved out of the womb and discarded beats saving none at all.

Perhaps, Trump got the word that even in Mississippi, enough people know they have a President who is a pathological liar. He tells a lie when there's no reason to lie.

His mental instability is becoming obvious even to my friends in Washington who supported him. They are strong conservatives who work in Dept. of Ed ,EPA, Justice and on Congressional staffs.

We have a President that, at best, refuses to learn his job, barks orders that are often absurd and who has appointed others in key positions who
seem uninterested in learning what their job description is other than " boss" . Some appointees can't comprehend the information they are given so they can make a logical decision that should be simple to make.

Some of us don't have our heads in the sand and I hope it's enough of us.

1034 - damn roght. Them blacks need to learn they aren't supposed to vote. At least not unless the masser says they can and tells them how to do it.

Ionce you and the rest of McDaniels clan gets in power, yall will take care of that and make sure they learn their proper place. The Free State of Jones and the family there will take care of this for us all.

Anonymous said...

September 11, 2018 at 10:34 AM "Along with the historical footnote how black Democrats in a Republican primary runoff crossed over in large numbers to push Thad Cochran across the finish line." Pitiful excuse.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Mississippi does not register by party, and individuals of ANY race, creed or color may vote in ANY primary they choose! Probably as many people voted AGAINST McDaniel as for Cochran!

Anonymous said...

I am very puzzled how it was allowed for someone to post them Blacks aren't suppose to vote unless the masser says so, or tell how to vote.
That is the problem we face now, not enough Blacks are voting which should be.
When Dr. Martin Luther King proposed the right for blacks to be able to vote, that is when there was NO need to ask a masser.
Thank You...

Clinton's corruption was tied to a blow job; Obama scared the hell out of white southerners because they have been brainwashed to believe black people are inferior to them in every facet possible, so they definitely did not want to see a black man in the highest office in the land. Additionally, that is why I have no faith in Mississippi electing Mike Espy to the Senate.

You are walking contradiction. You said, "I am proud that Americans with that Founding Fathers gene of self reliance and morals, i. e. we don’t need some F-ing King or Queen to take care of us."

Well, first, Trump has no morals, he's a married man and has unprotected sex with porn stars, while his wife is at home pregnant. You say you don't need no freaking King, but you voted for a man that adores and glorifies dictators and wants to be treated like a king? You said he's a shit eater, but he's OUR shit eater and you can have him, brag about him. BUT there is NOTHING moral about him.

@7:12pm,If you think Clinton's corruption was only oral sex, your ignorance is exceedingly deep, and probably intentional. Trump was not elected to be a guiding light to morality, need indeed should any politician. To think any of them are any different from a streetwalker, is ignorance personified. Trump was elected to serve the people of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Not Canada, not Mexico, nor any other country you can name. That should be the purpose of every elected offical. There is no freedom without the financal means to make ones desires come to pass, that's why the economy is important. That is why Trump will win again if he runs.

You conservatives talk about Clinton's corruption - but turn a blind eye to Trumps failed Trump University, how he swindled money from people that have worked for him, business that he's short changed, the number of times he's filed bankruptcy. If we are going to call balls and strikes, well then lets at least be consistent!?

All of them were elected to serve the people of the United States genius!

That snake oil swindler won't win sh*t again, 100,000 votes is what swung the electoral college and Independents will not make the same mistake letting his cotton candy hair ass back in the oval office. I will not defend Trump's personal past, but I will point out what he has done with his America first approach. If you don't have more disposable income, now, with Trump in the White House, you don't work for a living. The deficit, you say? The last clown in the White House wrote the book on how to increase deficit spending. There are two more years before the next election. What your kind fail to see, is the revenue stream from the tariffs. By the way, that was the original source of funding for the federal government. It became very apparent to me, during the Nixon administration, that the 535 elected streetwalkers in Washington were no friend to the people who put them there. Time has proven that assessment correct. It seems that Trump is not completely cast in that mold, which, is proven by the resistance he has faced. Your kind is so mentally warped, that to do something in support of the American people is considered crazy. Is'n that what your kind says about Trump? If Trump runs in 2020 he will win. Make America great again.

@3:31 It is well documented that FEMA, et al. Did not provide the same level of support to PR as it did Texas and Florida - water, food, shelter, power, etc. My point was not that more support would have saved all 3,000 lives, but that Trump foolishly characterized the event as a huge success. That is amoral. And today he falsely claimed the Democrats made up the 3,000 deaths to make him look bad. The man is a lunatic.

Anonymous said...

1032 - Well documented? Sources please. Lots of different reports - I'm sure one could find a documentation to match your exampkes, with neither having any necessary degree of accuracy.

Truth is, as was proven with Katriba, and had been the case forever, the local (state, or in this case, territory) has primary responsibility for disaster recovery. FEMA supplies supprt, but is not 'in charhe'. Puerto Rico'a corrupt local government was more interested in taking care of themselves personally than dealing with their crisis. And because they had let their infrastructure deteriorate to a subservient level over the past few decades, it required a total replacement whereas in most cases the job is to repair the distribution, not build new plants.

@ Sho Nuff

"What your kind fail to see, is the revenue stream from the tariffs."

what your kind fail to see, huh? BOY, you conservatives will try to piss on someone and tell them its raining! LOL!!!

Yes I do work for a living and have experience in many areas. But of course you will have a hard time believing that, because I am not buying the bullsh*t you are selling up here about the Tweeter in Chief.

If the revenue streams were so great the debt wouldn't be going up, #45 wouldn't have requested $12 Billion in relief funds to go to America's farmers!? See how this works? You can't say one thing is great, with factual evidence that its not.

Now let's point out some other bullsh*t you stated, "during the Nixon administration, that the 535 elected streetwalkers in Washington were no friend to the people who put them there. Time has proven that assessment correct. It seems that Trump is not completely cast in that mold"

Trump is not cast in the mold of those streetwalkers in Congress, huh?

O.k. - riddle me this - Allen Weisselberg has been Trump's Chief Financial Officer, he has worked with the family for well over 30+ years, why did he need immunity by prosecutors in the Southern District of New York? That joker is tied up in some crooked sh*t and his CFO said I got the goods, now what can you do for me to keep me from going to jail

Second - Donald Trumps biggest creditors were Ladder Capital & Deutsche Bank, this is after filing bankruptcy numerous times. Based on his past credit history, he shouldn't have even given an opportunity to get through the door! Guess who works at Ladder Capital - Allen Wisselberg's son Jack Weisselberg, guess who approved and signed off for Trump to receive those loans - Jack Weisselberg!

Deutsche Bank - another one - guess who has connections there, Wilbur Ross! Wilbur Ross is Trump's Commerce Secretary! While Ross was Vice President of the Bank of Cyprus he helped to get one of his underlings a job at Deutsche Bank in London. where that bank loaned Trump money! Not only did Ross over see that deal, he also brokered a deal for a Russian Oligarch named Dmitri Rybolovlev, who brought one of Trump's properties in Florida for $95 million!?

So, here is a paper trail showing Trump appointing people to positions in his cabinet that brokered deals for him, but you say he's NOTHING like the 535 elected streetwalkers in Washington

That man can't even admit the death toll in Puerto Rico was at least 3,000 people from Hurricane Maria!? But yet his detractors are the one's with mentally warped minds!?

Boy, you are so gullible, a storm would be coming and I could give you the path to safety and Trump would give you the path towards the storm, you would probably takes Trumps word, just because he told you so! LOL!!!!!

Enough of this childish piter pater, get your mom to help you comprehend that I WILL NOT DEFEND TRUMP'S PERSONAL DECISIONS. All that you posted were personal decisions by Trump. Lets hear about his policy making. Tell me he hasn't made decisions that have benefited the American people. Your kind in all the glory of your unadulterated ignorance shouting to the mountain tops of Russian collusion, all the while your queen, Hitlery, is so intertwined with the Russian mafia, said mafia is constipated to the point of misery, because her head is so far up their.... I guess your mom can help you understand the rest. If your kind had just a small touch of honesty, a small touch, that would allow that giant ego to get out of the way to see Trump is trying to do something good for the people. That is where Trump is not from the same mold. I have watched since the 60's as streetwalker, after streetwalker, liar, after liar made promises they didn't keep. Pass laws and regulations that strangled the commerce of the American people, sent our jobs abroad, enriched other countries, robbed the American people of their labor, and wealth. Trump isn't different you say. He has already done more than the past four before him. Make America great again.

Boy you are priceless? LOL!!!!

How am I quite the bigot? What did I say that was racial in tone?

Now there were three things you said that I would like to point out

1st All that you posted were personal decisions by Trump. Lets hear about his policy making. Tell me he hasn't made decisions that have benefited the American people.

2nd If your kind had just a small touch of honesty, a small touch, that would allow that giant ego to get out of the way to see Trump is trying to do something good for the people.

3rd Pass laws and regulations that strangled the commerce of the American people, sent our jobs abroad, enriched other countries, robbed the American people of their labor, and wealth.

Now you swear up and down Trumps policy is steaming the American economy along and benefitting Americans. Deny deny deny deny all you want, the tax cuts benefitted the wealthiest Americans, the working class is footing the bill to run the rest of the country. Countless states will pass the austerity measures to local municipalities, property taxes will be going up, sales taxes will go up, and interest rates will be going up. PERIOD. You are only propping up Obergruppenführer Trump and his Storm Troopers. The tariffs are not working, the trickle down effect will be an increase in the price of goods American citizens buy.

Now here's a kicker, you said Hillary is intertwined with the Russia mob, please provide names and facts as such!? But then I gave you ACTUAL names you can research and SEE with your OWN EYES of how said POTUS has been involved in quid pro quo and other misdealing's. BUT you just had to go into the hocus pocus bag of magic and say Hillary is hooked up with the Russian mob, LOL!!!

You keep telling yourself Trump is not from the same mold of the Washington Streetwalkers, but I'll tell you what he is - he's their pimp and you are his trick!

America has been great since 1776! Nuff'said!

Oh, I am definitely priceless. Genuine, one of a kind, often I have been imitated, but never duplicated. How about yourself, are you just a cheap knock off? From reading what you put forth, as an intelligent discussion, you read like a cheap imitation. Have you ever given serious thought to getting a real education? That indoctrination you have is failing you, terribly. Where did you get the idea bigotry is strictly racial? Your kind seems to assume that you have some superior position because of some idiotic indoctrination that opposes common sense. Your kind tickles me, when they speak of their forward thinking, as if what you propose has never been known, or attempted before. History is littered with the failures of your kind, bigot. You didn't address any of the three parts you highlighted, but like the good little programed simpleton you are, you defended your queen. I don't need to swear to prove a point, talk to people who live in the real world. Ask the people that are working at jobs that were recently created, good paying jobs, not minimum wage. Nothing like earning your own way in the world, and feeling good about yourself. You should try it sometime. What austerity measures are you talking about? You were, a few post above, complaining of the deficit spending. Tell me, from that vast reservoir of indoctrinated wisdom, how the budget is cut, and grown at the same time? What is it I should deny, the more well to do saving more in taxes? Mathematics, are you familiar with such a thing? If Joe makes $1000, Jim only makes $500, both get a %10 tax break, can you do the math on that? Is that simple enough for you? You failed kindergarten didn't you? The tariffs aren't working you say? You give them time, it just started. A recent report says that record personal income taxes were collected. Why? Because more people ARE working with higher wages. Are you people really this dense? You mentioned interest rates. Trump is once again ahead of the game. He is on record giving a warning to the non Federal Reserve Board about interest rate hikes. Having lived through the hell of the Carter administration, I am fully aware of the damage that illegal enterprise can do to an economy. I don't know what Trump can do about the interest rates, seeing that the money belongs to the non Federal Reserve. You are aware that money belongs to them, right? If you doubt that, pull some out, if your broke ass has any, look for yourself. We will never be a free people as long as this is in place. You have a very bleak out look economically with all the doom you are prophesying. Obama is no longer destroying things, come on out in to the sunshine. Feel the wind in your face. Trump is making America great again. There is hope of a better future. Come get some. Help make America great again. Trump 2020

That's the 5th person from the Trump campaign that's plead guilty to a crime. Where there's smoke.........you know the rest, LOL!!!

Now, let me go get some cold beer and enjoy this Felony Friday! Nuff'said!

Bye Tristan! LOL!!!

Countless states will pass the austerity measures to local municipalities, property taxes will be going up, sales taxes will go up, and interest rates will be going up. PERIOD.

Argumentative Fallacy. PERIOD.

You must have the attention span of a kitten, buttercup. The point I emphasized was Trump's policies concerning the economy, not what you have attempted to divert to. All your kind have is outrage, and name calling. You're as fake as your news sources. The majority of Americans are loving this America first approach, and it's torturing your America hating emotions. I'll catch you later, buttercup. You better leave the alcohol alone, it damages brain cells, and you're already working at a disadvantage. No this is not Kim Wade. Make America great again. Trump 2020

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
