Kingfish, perhaps you need to read the article by one of the alderman’s daughters(black by the way) about what is really going on in pelahatchie. Ryshanda has taken everyone off the bank access for the city except herself as well as a myriad of things.

She’s ran off everyone who knew anything about the city. And she’s blocked access to everyone else. And she damn sure don’t have a clue what’s going on.

Like I said, follow the money. If they don't have checks and balances over their money, including INDEPENDENT audits, it can "grow legs."

I would be much more surprised if anyone actually "knew" the financial condition of the city.

It was printed in the Rankin county news last Wednesday. The same things that were printed in that article have been stated on this blog multiple times.

Is that a large council for a town of less than 1400 people? Just asking.

@10:26....and please watch Jacqueline Loggins facebook live video as a response to the article...everything the alderman's daughter wrote was absolute utter lies beginning with she is a citizen of Pelahatchie...she has residency in Pearl, MS so wouldn't it be illegal for her to even vote in Pelahatchie???? Much less post such articles to try to justify it...and everyone wants to run with she is African American and against the mayor...she is the daughter of the longer standing African American board member whom has never ever ever done anything positive for the citizens or the ward he is over...ever! Go back and watch the videos...he never even speaks up until the actual night the same daughter got escorted out of the meeting for cussing and threading people. You can not be serious! Everyone from Pelahatchie knows she hasn't lived there or even been seen there or at church since high school until her dad and the town went under investigation...PLEASE don't use the she is black and on our side crap...She and that newspaper should be ashamed for ever thinking they could possibly get away with such lies

Kingfish has video of the woman that openly wrote the article...ON THIS BLOG acting out and being escorted out of the meeting for screaming and cussing...yet she also states she was attacked at the grocery store...the grocery store has video footage...zero attack was found of ever reported to the PPD...irony huh...

Well...It's not the responsibility of individual aldermen to track this sort of thing. Surely the town has a financial officer of some description who would know. Might as well include the Police Chief in the list of people who don't know. That's not HIS job either.

I agree with you. However, they should know if one exists or a little bit about it.

This is just a micro-example of the present Mississippi leadership. It's the same crap all over the state - large and small. Cities, counties, and the legislature. It's their JOB to "know" or have immediate or readily available access to such information - especially when having public meetings where citizens will have questions. What do they think the meetings are for? Just to look like they're doing something meaningful and stare at each other? Mississippians are sick of their being no accountability with elected officials who just cruise through, passing the time, while deliberately not watching and managing the people's money.

I think stacey’s Office did an investigation earlier and it’s still much to do about nothing. This was with the drug money stuff kingfish reported on a while back and still nothing has come about it. Per the article On 1-24, KF reported Pickering Office would have an announcement “next month”. On 5-17-18(several “next months” later), there has yet to be a big announcement. Ryshonda Be barking up the wrong tree.

And nothing was being done for the town! Nothing! But the city clerk, deputy clerk, and aldermans wallets were padded thick!!! Let’s not forget full benefits on top of that! Plus trips to conventions they take their entire family on...come on now...what did he really do for Pelahatchie? He was never ever ever seen other than board meetings and the jubilee...things are changing...the kids are closer to a decent park than they have been in over 20 years...yes there was a park many years ago...that was beyond outdated! Why can’t peope at least acknowledge that! Everyone is mad about Facebook and the information being posted or streamed but at the end of the day not everyone can make it to the meetings! We all have to work! They have never and will never allow a city page that post actual uo to date information! I love that in some way or form we get to see what’s going on

@7:31. you say that the alderman's daughter was not a citizen so what Everyone in town knows that the Mayor was not living in town until after the election and there is some discussion if she really lives here now. But in my opinion this article was about 95% accurate. The lies and decent that the mayor has brought on this town is beginning to catch up with her and her cronnies. @may17,731a . No I don’t live in Pelahatchie and not Pearl either. Yes my father is the longest standing and I stand proudly beside him defending him til the end. What you don’t know is he has done EVERYTHING for his community why do u think he has longevity. You must not be from Pelahatchie either along with the mayor. What I wrote was cold hard facts that had been investigated and found to be true. I don’t have to convince anyone of that, they already know and chose to follow Ryshonda because she is black. That alone says something about their integrity and dignity. As far as being escorted out, that didn’t happen did you watch the videos. The convention lol the Town pays for the Aldermen to go to the convention the Alderman pay for their families. Speak what you know. Truth is I’m tired of this stuff - the board members and their families have taken much scrutiny because someone has a revenge plot. No one was saying anything when the community and Ryshonda was bashing the board. But when they began to speak it was a problem. Why is that? 8:09 please educate on the difference between your and you’re before calling anyone a fool. Also, about drawing a check, hoe much is an alderman’s check in pelahatchie. If I am not mistaken they all unanimously voted to decrease said checks between all of them.

I sincerely hope this thread will not be forgotten. It is a joy to read and my Pelahatchie had gotten fusty. Keep it up ladies.
