The Lieutenant Governor issued the following press release:
JACKSON
– Parents of special needs students are a step closer to having a
choice in their child’s education, Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves said today.
The
Senate passed House Bill 765 implementing a scholarship program for
special needs students. The bill heads to the House for consideration.
“Parents
deserve to have a choice in their children’s education, and this bill
allows that for Mississippi’s most vulnerable students,” Lt.
Gov. Reeves said. “I commend Sen. Collins for her hard work on this
issue.”

Such good news. Given political differences and fiscal constraints, one is almost shocked when something like this happens, but to paraphrase Galileo, still it happens.
Agreed. This is excellent! Giving children, especially children with special needs, education choice ought to be something we can all support. Kudos to the Senate for passing this, I just hope the House will too.
