More buffoonery from Marcus Wallace. You can't make this up.
* Notice how he coveniently leaves out $10 million went to JSU for housing.
* He is griping about MSO. Who does he think is going to get those instruments? Just a bunch of lily-white kids?
* Mississippi Museum of Art? That's not even in NE Jackson but expecting him to know geography is perhaps asking a bit much.
* $13 million for Lefleur's Bluff Park? Um, yeah. It's the largest park in the Jackson metro area. It draws people to Jackson along with its two museums.
* $5 million for the Children's Museum? Heaven forbid.
Mr. Wallace is going to go down this path, perhaps he should slam the $100 million appropriation for a new UMC Cancer Center on North State Street. That is NE Jackson under his logic, right? What this clown ignores is these appropriations are for what is considered to be state attractions. However, there is a reason he is hanging around the other grifters such as Skyhook and Socrates. All they do is gripe, gripe, gripe, bitch, bitch, bitch.
Perhaps they should ask the Hinds delegation why it couldn't get more for Jackson.

What happened to the $23 million dollars that they claim JSU was awarded in 202
Maybe if the rest of the population would engage in productive activities they would be seen as worthy of investment as well. Currently their sales pitch is throwing money down a hole.
I love how he makes this a race issue. Yes NE Jackson pays an overwhelming majority of the city’s taxes I don’t hear Marcus complaining about that. I also love how ppl bite the hand that feeds them. LE foundation president Dr Clay hays and the Eastover crowd have pledged millions of private money to parham bridges and the black residents from other areas call it racist. Makes zero sense. Just be glad NE Jackson pays your bills you blow hard moron
I guess he’s mad bc Delbert hosemann lives in ne Jackson along with a lot of the Barbour family so it’s a conspiracy huh Marcus. Walter Michel represents this area of Jackson and he does well for this area of hard working taxpayers. Lawyers physicians lobbyists etc
Marcus evidently has not been to Lefluers Park lately; I have watching my grandchildren play -- and the demographics of those in the park match or exceed the demographics of the City of Jackson. There are often several school buses from throughout the JPS area with kids there in what appears to be an after school program. Nothing wrong with that; I'm not complaining in the least. In fact, think its a good concept. But for Marcus to think that the Lefluers Park or the Childrens Museum is a benefit only for NE Jackson (which he suggests is white, but actually today is no longer) he is his usual self - WRONG.
Along with having omitted the JSU dollars. Or the Medgar Evers Drive and McDowell Road dollars.
Hey 5:15 - who are those lot of Barbours that live in NE Jackson? Two of the former Governor's nephews ==== AND????
Marcus who? Never heard of him.
The Romans used the money to build Hwy 49.
Last I heard, Jackson is 85% black. What are these white-areas he speaks of? Perhaps he would have preferred 10 million for Battlefield Park for a monorail to improve the drug trade.
"about 10-15% of this is going towards African-American areas in this city"
In a city that is about 85% black, I find that hard to believe.
Plus, NE Jackson is full of middle class and upper-middle class black folks (at least those who didn't get out during COVID, when interest rates were low and they could access their retirement plans).
I've never heard of this guy either 5:29.
Surely some new Jackson comedians can step up to the plate.
Stokes is in the clown Hall of Fame but two spots behind Enoch Sanders and Lumumba.
