Last week I wrote about warnings Xi Van Fleet raised in her first book, “Mao’s America: A Survivor’s Warning.” Xi describes herself as “Chinese by birth; American by choice, survivor of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, defender of liberty.” She was born in China, lived through the Cultural Revolution, and was sent to work in the countryside at the age of 16. After Mao’s death, she was able to study English in America and has lived in the United States since 1986.
Xi is truly an inspirational person with an extraordinary story to tell. She began her story when she was still a young girl in China demonstrating an awareness and understanding of government and politics well beyond her years.
Like other children her age, she was taught to follow Mao’s writings without question. Yet, she writes, “However, there is one of Mao’s quotations I did question: ‘Whatever the enemy opposes, we shall support. Whatever the enemy supports, we shall oppose.’ I couldn’t help thinking to myself, ‘What if our enemy loves candy; am I supposed to hate it?’ My doubts would live inside my own head, never escaping through my lips for anyone to hear.”
I laughed out loud reading her childish question that mocks the tormented reasoning of Democrats and the media whose anchor is weighed by their utter hatred of President Trump. In “MAO’S America,” Xi clearly documented how the woke left in America has repeated the same fallacies in judgment that Chinese communists made in their own opposition to nationalist policies.
Xi boldly wrote her warning to Americans. “In China and in every country that has ever been under a Communist regime, history has proven that these countries have been incubators for rebellion, chaos, and violence. The parallels between the America of today and the China of the mid-1960s haunt me. These parallels, which are the hallmarks of cultural Marxism, will destroy America as we know it, as they have every country across history. If we do not stop this now, you can bet your life that America will inevitably become a Communist-like state, top to bottom.”
China has a rich history in Christianity due to sacrifices of many missionaries in the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth centuries. Christianity was one of the first targets of the Marxists in China. Today America is enjoying a resurgence of Christianity in Generation X Gen Y and Gen Z. Christians of all ages thank God for this unexpected renewal. Sadly, woke folks among us are just not that interested. That’s the Marxist agenda: divide and conquer. Mock Christianity, the Bible, God and Jesus Christ.
Meanwhile, Chinese Communists have gained much geopolitical power while Americans have fought wars internationally as well as within. Biden & Co. invited chaos and conflict by opening the borders. Chaos and conflict are foundations pitting Marxism against common sense and law and order.”
“Beijing is increasingly emerging as a key enabler of global conflicts, determined to reshape the international order on its own terms. Since 2023, Houthi terrorists have repeatedly attacked U.S. Navy warships and commercial shipping vessels. It has been reported that China’s Chang Guang Satellite Technology Company is directly supporting these terrorist operations.”
America’s Progressive Marxists oppose what we support and support what we oppose. That’s how Marxists conquer free people. Americans must defend liberty united.

Trying to read DL’s incoherent “articles” mKes me imagine what it must be like inhaling fuel injection cleaner. It leaves you dizzy and with a headache. I wonder if he sniffs glue or huffs gasoline before he pens this drivel?
Nobody is returning to the failures of Maoism. Our empire was first built on European immigration, then on currency manipulation and war profiteering. As we enter the late stages of this nation’s experiment in fractional reserve banking, we with either find new victims to exploit, or we will be forced to innovate our entire idea of economics and the value of work/food/housing.
DL is fearful of a future where people arent exploited for their labor, food, and housing. People who arent huffing gas are hopeful for a Star Trek TNG style post-scarcity future where we can persue self improvement with the need to convert our literal life into otherwise worthless fiat currency to pay for food and shelter and healthcare.
Throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth century the Chinese like many people in non-European nations got a healthy dose of unbridled capitalist imperialism and they reacted to it like most sane people would. It's hard to convince those people that you mean them well when you have enslaved them, forced them into drug addiction, prostitution and more to garner your own profits. Hopefully our present day relations will show that we have changed and that our culture is not predatory but good. Otherwise they have no reason to trust us.
First of all, there's a difference between economic systems and political systems.
What DL fails to grasp is that any country with one " leader" and " one powerful political party" quickly becomes a system that only rewards " loyalty". By any name, freedom and liberty are lost.
Indeed, it'd be hard to argue the difference between Xi and Orban or that N. Korea has not been a dynasty controlled by one family and Russia not ruled by one man, Putin who literally kills his competition. There aren't communist "committees" that rule anything or anyone who prospers without Putin or Jong Un approval. Only their loyalists are rewarded and their enemies demonized. Communism and Fascism have proven to be enemies of freedom just like controls by one royal family dictating what the law is or is not. And, worse, control of the media via profit is becoming a problem. We are too lazy or too busy, to ask "what is the solution to this problem" and being fed party propaganda constantly.
DL, read the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire. They started with a republic and Julius Caesar but ended up with Caligula. One religion dictating our politics hasn't been so great either. Greed is a very deadly sin and " rulers" by any name or religion can be corrupted UNLESS the rule of law gives all the people the same rights to " life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" and allows all of us of any skin color or beliefs to compete on a level playing field.
I'd be in favor of limiting campaign periods to 3 months, limiting the money and donations of any kind one candidate of kind can receive like they do in Australia. A candidate shouldn't have to please just his party's agenda and a party shouldn't have to bow to his wealthy contributors. Look at how much money both parties have! It's obscene! At least bring back the Fairness Doctrine! Both our parties have let money and power go to their heads and the Tea Party ( that gave me brief hope) sold out and/or failed to their due diligence and were the " against" without real thought and study about how to fix anything or to replace with better! So now we are stuck with AGAINST and ANGER and INSULTS all the TIME!
We are again, " A House Divided". It doesn't affect me, but our poor children and grandchildren will suffer if this craziness of " the one with the best lies, most money and most media wins" craziness!
People like DL dont know anything about imperialism. He might’ve seen Charleton Heston’s 55 days in Peking or maybe Steve McQueen’s The Sandpebbles and have some vague notion. But in his mind, American history is spotless.
Every time I look at one of these excretions from Dan of Starkpatch it's clear why Starkville needed to spend tens of millions to expand it's wastewater treatment plant.
And after Caligula and Nero, the empire enjoyed the five good emperors, which was built somewhat on meritocracy. Then Marcus Aurelius screwed it up by passing the crown on to his son. The Senate was encouraged by some emperors to assume more of its old power and refused.
Paragraph spacing, learn it, love it, and use it.
So it's DL's fault you have no reading comprehension?
DL tries to limit the inquiry to only the "woke left."
But hard left and hard right ideologies have a lot more in common with each other than either have with the middle - they are authoritarian, one-party, institutional faith (be it a favored religion or atheism), co-opted media, political patronage with a premium on party loyalty, etc.
I'm against fanatics of all stripes, be they far left or far right.
But not one of the piss ants above ready to submit to KF a column (not article) of their own work for consideration by the JJ readership.
@11:39
No it is DL’s fault that he writes incoherently like a gas huffer
Yes communism is so much better. A system of government that murder more people than the nazis did!
More outrage bait for the rubes from the D.L. master baiter.
It's working!
@12:14 PM
You are truly ignorant if you do not think that “capitalists” haven’t murdered their own equally.
Again, most of you smooth brains don’t know the difference between a political system and an economic system.
DL, tell us about how communist have subverted the US to weaken us and how. Then the rest might make sense.
@12:46 tell that to the tens of millions the communist murder by the communist! Strange how people prefer to migrate to capitalist countries over communist countries? Have you ever noticed that????
