April 15 came and went yet Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba has still not filed the required campaign finance report.
JJ obtained the campaign finance reports that mayoral candidates submitted for the deadline. State Senator John Horhn and Kenny Gee submitted their reports. However, Mayor Lumumba and Wilfred Beal did not submit reports. Gee and Wilfred competed in the Republican primary runoff.
Mr. Horhn has been a fund-raising dynamo as he reported contributions of $233,344. He managed to raise over $53,000 between the primary and the runoff.
The campaign finance reports for Horhn and Gee are posted below.

It's a racist white man's requirement. What ya gonna do, throw him in jail? He will never file this required report, never.
He'll never file them now.
Look at all those lawyer donations--vying for a piece of the COJ pie.
So... If he had won the runoff, his win would have been nullified?
Don't diddle-fart around the question. Answer it.
Unless I'm mistaken, from what I've seen over the last few weeks, it looks like there is no punishment for those who do not turn the reports in. He's not worried about it.
And who is surprised by this? No one.
Why is this such a big deal? I'm willing to bet that most of the people reading this didn't file a campaign finance report either! smh
Maybe he doesn't want to incriminate himself any further.
Why, at this time, is this even an issue.
2:52 -correct. It’s all evidence. His books are under full scrutiny.
And he never will file it and nothing will happen to him.
The mayor has the character of a rat! It will take a decade for Jackson to recover from his leadership. Heck he'll be out of prison by the time Jackson halfway recovers.
No, the people won't throw him in jail. But they did throw him out of the mayor's office.
2:38 pm - well, because its the law. Really don't need to say anything else. So. Obey the law or break the law.
The "under penalty of perjury" part must have deterred him from filing, because as a member of the MS bar he would never lie. Right?
It's just another example of Lumumba's attitude of "the rules don't apply to me," and symptomatic of his extremely poor record as mayor.
EPA order? N/A. Consent decree for sewer? N/A. Contract bidding for garbage collection? N/A. Crime statistics? N/A . . . and on and on
Perhaps the legislators could get off their behinds and put teeth into the law.
This is an enormous embarrassment for THEM, whether they are smart enough to know it or not.
Yawn
He will never submit to the white man's rules. He only follows the laws that he respects - ones written by the Republic of New Afrika.
He doesn't want anyone to know what's in the election coffers. He needs every nickel for his defense fund...wherever it came from.
Nor are they running for office, genius.
Politicians are criminals. More news at 11.
If Shad thought there were any votes in it he'd be on it like stink on a skunk!
Chuck has always acted as if he was bulletproof!!! It’s just his ego and knows he can and does blame the white man for any and all of his problems.
1:31 it is known as the law
