The Madison Police Department issued the following statement.
On April 28, 2025 at 7:15 pm the Madison Police Department received a call from retired Madison County Deputy Brad Sullivan regarding a Door Dash order he had placed at Academy Sports in Madison, MS. Deputy Sullivan stated that he had placed the order for his son and it showed that his order had been picked up by a Door Dasher named “Dennis K”. Brad went on to say that he contacted the store and the manager stated that “Dennis K” did in fact pick up the order and he had left the store with it. A short time later the order was shown as canceled; however, Deputy Sullivan stated that he never cancelled the order. When Deputy Sullivan contacted the Door Dasher, later identified as Terel Tywan Hampton of Jackson, MS, he advised Deputy Sullivan that he did not have his order and refused to bring it to him. Through cooperation of Academy Sports and investigative tools utilized by the Madison Police Department, it was determined that Terel had in fact exited the store with Deputy Sullivan’s merchandise and his vehicle was identified.Moments later officers were then able to locate and stop the 2016 Chevrolet Impala driven by Terel Hampton. During the stop, officers located a firearm, marijuana, and the merchandise belonging to Brad Sullivan. The merchandise consisted of 2 pair of shoes, 2 shirts, and a pair of shorts. Officers arrested Hampton for Petit Larceny, Improper Equipment, and Possession of Marijuana while in Possession of a Firearm. Deputy Sullivan’s merchandise was returned to him and Terel Tywan Hampton was transported to the Madison County Jail.

Those plate readers hidden all around Madison the City sure come in handy
Yep a scumbag & thief! Good riddance & enjoy your stay in Madison. Guess he didn’t get the memo Chockwe LOST!
A downlow dude with a weave will probably enjoy the not-so-lonely nights in the lockup.
Friends don't let friends use Door Dash...ever.
Fry his ass. Sarcasm, but I'm sure it's gonna stimulate someone like Ex-lax.
What are plate readers? Are these the cameras Pearl uses for red lights that people are so outraged by? Do they enter a plate and it reads it? I’ve never understood this!
True. Used it once, thank you Pizza Hut for getting rid of your drivers and switching to DD. Service was not good and she couldn't find my home, which is VERY easy to find. I just get take out. Most places I order from are within 10 minutes, even Pizza Shack in Madison
two words.....ROOM SERVICE
License Plate Readers (LPR) read the tags and automatically run them through a database, which typically contains stolen vehicles, wanted subjects, or other vehicles of interest.
If any City that has them
Is looking for specific vehicle / tag number they will be alerted to time / location of vehicle They are everywhere in Madison and in Rankin also
Born To Lose-
He'll be internet famous.
Ooops.
No. The "cameras" by red lights (that are all over the place, not just pearl) are for controlling traffic lights.

LPR's also read partial tags and also in those instances of no tag can look at the make, model, color etc giving hits as well.
Door Dashers throw entire orders out the window in the entrance to our neighborhood if the people don't answer the door and the order has to be handed to recipient. Also no tip or low ball tips and the order gets thrown in ditch. So you think nice people working to supplement their income are delivering when in fact it is feral Hinds County tags on them Dodges ripping ass through your neighborhood then littering on the way out to some kill whitey rap music.
I wouldn't use door dash to deliver a bag of potting soil. And I sure won't trust them with something I'm going to eat.
We order carryout and go pick it up. We don't want scumbags coming to our rural home to case the place and return at night to steal.
Sorry, not approving your comment trashing Sullivan and praising Egbert. Probably the same POS who was defending rapists yesterday and has taken up for child molesters in the past.
Go Brad!! Still catching the bad guys
KF you really are a retard. I wasn’t defending a rapist I was criticizing the lush.
KF there are way better pizza joints nearby.
Why did Madison hire and promote that Jake Lang fellow who was found to have used excessive and unlawful force on a detainee while working for Pearl PD. His guilty co-conspirator was hired by Capitol Police. Lang, I believe was hired by Madison PD, then let go, turned up at Flora PD, and is now back at Madison PD . Local law enforcement is an incestuous pool of back scratchers. I believe Lang’s dad is or was a higher up with Madison County SO.
LPR’s photograph and store every tag that passes by the camera. Gluckstadt has a dozen or more and they track every single vehicle coming in and out of the city, 24/7. Certainly, there are “hot lists” of tags of interest such a stolen vehicles, suspected drug mules, but cops can also create their own lists to track movement of anyone for any reason. It’s mass surveillance, no crime or even suspicion of crime required. At least one court in Maryland ruled recently that the indiscriminate surveillance of citizens using LPR’s without any reasonable suspicion of crime is a violation of the 4th amendment.
Somehow this discussion turned into license plate readers and bashing the cops.
Try typing "license plate readers" into the search bar of Google, if you want to know how license plate readers work.
As for bashing the cops in a post about a straight-up thief who got busted, well that speaks for itself.
