Mississippi is becoming a leader in the hiring of an out-of-state technically skilled workforce. They ain't coming from Jackson.
Why would that matter? That is still money coming into our state. Also, we are actively importing out-of-state technically skilled workers as MS has become very attractive from a tax and cost-of-living perspective. Get on the train, or get left at the station.
It's nice that Trump is rewarding Mississippi. Most Republican President have taken Mississippi for granted. But, given the rest of our economy this five minutes, it seems a bit premature to stand and cheer. This two party loyalty nonsense makes us stupid. We need to take it policy by policy, not by goose stepping!
maybe so...but the biggest growth industry in this state will forever be government.
per capita our legislature is 4 times the size of the california legislature.
when you finish with all the happy talk, tell us who will be last now.
To unapproved comment: Sit tight.
Could have fooled me. Anyone taken a look at the job market recently? It’s as bad as ever. These large corporations that set up shop in our state seem to always get exempted from paying taxes. Not sure why we think Amazon can’t pay their fair share, it’s all just for the press release.
