Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens issued the following statement.
Hinds County District Attorney, Jody E. Owens, II announces the sentencing of 52-year-old Beth Ann White who was convicted of four counts of aggravated DUI and one count, of DUI 4th offense.
On November 1, 2021, White caused a crash that tragically claimed the lives of Allison Conway and her six-month-old son and seriously injured two other children. At the time of the crash, White, who had three previous DUI convictions, had a blood alcohol level of .273%, which is more than three times the legal limit.
Today, White was sentenced to 110 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. 25 years for each count of aggravated DUI and 10 years for the DUI 4th offense.
“Ms. White’s actions resulting in the tragic loss of two lives is a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of drunk driving,” says District Attorney Owens. “While our hearts go out to the families and loved ones affected by this tragedy, our commitment to justice remains resolute, we pursued this case vigorously to hold White accountable for her reckless actions, and while no sentence can fully alleviate the pain of the Conway family, we hope it brings them some measure of closure.”

Thank you jurors and Judge. She will not harm someone else!
thank god she was just drinking Legal Liquor instead of smoking that communist devil weed!
Will Clay Edwards use the proceeds from the sales of those God-awful shirts to fund her commissary?
I think the sentence is overkill! 30 plus mandatory would have been enough. Now the gangbangers, robbers and killers don’t get that kind of time if they do they are out in 5 years.
Yes she should have a lengthy sentence but 110 years is I think is for show!
The Hinds County Courts are a shit show! Put the other fools in prison for a long time and you will see results!
NO...people do NOT need ...." a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of drunk driving"......
What the people need are judges that are not weak kneed and are not scared of public opinion and do what they are supposed to do....
Robert Goza was a fine example of a week kneed judge.
If only they had this enthusiasm to sentence all the other murderers in the metro like this.
She will get a pardon in 10-15 or so years after this tragedy is long forgotten.
But alcohol brings in so much "revenue" to state government. What a high price to pay for that, on both sides the steering wheel.
From now own give all the prior felon killers 20 plus mandatory. I’ll bet Jackson murders will drop drastically.
Criminals to Hinds County Judges,” keep slapping me on my wrists, and I’ll keep killing”!
" thank god she was just drinking Legal Liquor instead of smoking that communist devil weed!"

Have you not been following the case? Or is it possible that SOME SUBSTANCE has affected your memory? She was not JUST drinking liquor.
Goza did keep a number of his friends kids out of prison on a number of occasions.
Question is, what did he do for you dredge up a man that has been dead since 2009?
Overkill? He sentenced her according to sentencing guidelines. Maximum. It is what it is. If all of her kids had been in the car that would have added 50 more years.

I will drag his name through mud every chance I get. The victims suffered while the criminals served a minimal sentence.
All murderers should be sentenced this way.... the murder rate would drop drastically.
Its nice to see Hinds can get one case right.
They should really try it more often.
Alcohol is such a dangerous drug.
Were the sentences to run consecutively or concurrently?
Bye Beth. See ya when you get to the CWC Camp.
Consecutively, according to the judge's live, on-line sentencing.
