Escape to Jackson. It is their only hope.

Doesnt that just say it all ..... JPD goes slowly cruising the other way

Anonymous said...

Imagine why the JPD patrol car is heading in the opposite direction of that line of cop cars from other jurisdictions!?

Imagine why the JPD cop car is heading the opposite direction of the train of police cars in pursuit?!

Anonymous said...

JPD cop wanted to see for himself actual police officers in action.

Anonymous said...

JPD cruiser going slowly the other way tells you all you need to know.

Anonymous said...

After the last one passed, the JPD car turned his blue lights on and looked like he was turning around to follow them, to me.

Anonymous said...

Ugh. JPD is a rolling joke. Makes me ashamed to admit that I wore that badge 30 years ago. Make no mistake though - when Capitol Police comes through responding to a call, it's very clear that they mean business. THANK GOD for Capitol Police.

Anonymous said...

Looks like the perps paid attention to the memo advising them in the event of a police pursuit attempt to reach Mississippi's Crime Sanctuary City of Jackson.

Anonymous said...

How does it feel to pay those COJ property taxes and know that JPD is a spectator sport?

I would not know because I had sense enough to leave when the 'Don't hate, em, just Celebrate 'em' criminal attitudes arrived in Jackson in the 90s.

I guess you guys are used to be screwed over at this point, but you really should do something about it. Nobody deserves to live this way.

JPD officer saying "Damn I hope they don't see me". Heck even he pulled over to let the real police do their thing.

Anonymous said...

One minute you people say that JPD is being hampered by the courts. The next minute they are bad police. Can't make up your mind?

Anonymous said...

Has anyone on this blog seen any JPD “officers” upclose?

They are mostly fat. And majority are ignorant.

They have no desire to service and protect.

They want to eat and relax.

Anonymous said...

So the high speed chase (part of which occurred downtown) was over a couple of items in some guy’s garage?

Jesus, what would have happened if one of the cars would have hit a pregnant woman, an elderly person, etc.? That would be worth getting some item like a weed eater back? I totally get initiating a chase where a violent crime is alleged, but this (chasing over a couple of things found in a garage) is just a little much.

Anonymous said...

Did the JPD officer even notice that there was a pursuit taking place by real police officers?

Anonymous said...

Obviously JPD is not "upscale".

Anonymous said...

I watched both the MPD and Capital PD chasing suspect down State St
& South St intersection headed south and JPD was going opposite direction on
State St and kept on going

Bad look by JPD as usual

If Baby Chowke realize it was "white folks"
that were the perps he'd let JPD join the chase

Anonymous said...

Dana picked male companionship........poorly.

Anonymous said...

JPD has a no chase policy that they’ve had for years. If it were the other way around and JPD were chasing people through Annandale or Bridgewater endangering innocent lives over a stolen truck, I’m sure the comments here would be much different.
What happened to helicopters and drones ?

Kingfish said...

Disagree on stolen vehicles. Stolen vehicles often used to commit more serious crimes such as oh, murder. When you get that hit, you don't know what it has been used for.

Ladies & gentlemen, I present to you the modern day liberal. Quick to defend and excuse criminals actions and criticize law & order.

Anonymous said...

@12:35 called them to our business one time a few years back after a robbery. We have since relocated. A 5'0" 245 lb woman showed up. I wonder how she passed a physical? She was no help at all....

Anonymous said...

I commend the JPD officer for getting out of the way. No need for him to be fired for assisting!

Anonymous said...

Capitol Police aren't messing around. It's a new day.

Anonymous said...

12:35, Once a suspect takes off driving in a reckless manner, it’s no longer about the initial reason for the stop. It’s about felony fleeing law enforcement.

Anonymous said...

@1:19 Jackson's policy stance on crime enforcement has done wonders for the radical new city over the last 5 years. We should all strive for such achievements in our communities.

Anonymous said...

Who the hell are these people saying that there should not be any chase over stolen items. Those items were important enough for the thief to steal them and try to outrun the cops. The thieves are the ones who make that decision that the items are important enough to steal and run. They are the ones to blame for what ever happens during the chase. If I would have caught them in my garage stealing anything the item would be worth their life.

Can someone help me. I was going through the channels this morning when I heard a news person announce that a city councilman had come up with a new idea for stopping the shootings in Jackson. Something about a 5 mile area around hospitals where shooting people was not allowed. Anyone have any idea what they were talking about?

Did the puppy get to bite anyone?

Hope they'll give him a band-aid... looks like he nicked himself shaving this morning.

Oh don’t worry, that consent decree from the DOJ will sit a number of agencies down thanks to Pearl & Flowood PD.

Speak for yourself, Reverend Pickett. My Honda Commercial mower, Stihl FarmBoss Chainsaw and Stihl Combi System, Chop Saw and other tools are worth about fifteen thousand plus inflation. I'd rather clean blood off the driveway than call my insurance and replace those tools.

Anonymous said...

@1:19 pretty hard to have a high-speed chase in gated neighborhoods

Anonymous said...

And, who knows what else this dude may be wanted for?!

Anonymous said...

12:35 That's the reason we are having the problems in the stores and areas of petty theft. They think that's ok and they move up to bigger things. Why don't you give me your address and I will put it out that people can come get your stuff and you won't do anything about it?

Dang they got em right outside the governor's mansion right by Keifer's!

At 3:51, Lets say one of your kids or grandkids happened to be in the path of the fleeing vehicle or police cars in pursuit of said vehicle that had in its possession your precious mower. Lets say YOUR child or grandchild was hit and killed for the sake of you getting your mower back. Would it be worth it? Ridgeland police chased a shoplifter, a shoplifter, into Flowood and a woman, going to pick up her kids from church, got in the way. She was killed in the middle of Grant's Ferry and Lakeland Drive. Her life was worth getting a couple of steaks back?

Anonymous said...

Most LEOs immediately pursue the suspect/s; except JPD and the Coward of Broward.

Anonymous said...

6:41PM, The thief thought what he stole was worth the life of the woman. The thief is the person who decided to steal something. The thief decided to run from the police. The cops did not force him to run. He chose to do that by himself. The thief was driving the car that killed the woman. He was the one who decided it was worth it to try to run. The person to blame for everything was the thief. Nothing would have happened if the thief would have not decided to steal something that belonged to another person. The police were doing their job.

No, my family member's life is not worth a 50 cent gas can.

And catching someone who lifts a junk item is a helluva waste of resources and risk of liability. WHO is paying the PD budget for liability? Think you want to ask a few questions of MPD management soon?

Let's just have OnStar disable both the perps' and the cops' cars and see how far MPD wants to run after them over a gas can, and how far these methheads want to trot. Fluffy the K9 can then do what he does so well.

That would save lives, and money on wrecked cars as well.

But when the Jackson driver looks up at that billboard saying One Call and thinks about their sore neck, we will be paying even more. For cowboy cop games. To "serve and protect" a junk sale item. Good grief, MPD.

Just buy a Stoke's cap and enjoy him LIVE in front of a camera.

Stokes calls a presser every Sunday afternoon. He's been doing this act for decades.
His constituents love it.

But so do the weekend "news" teams at WAPT, WLBT & WJTV.

Stokes always gives the newly minted "journalists" a lead story that will last until their Monday 5/6 &10 pm broadcasts.

JXN Lefties, Inc. can't be happy until property crime is turned into a de jure misdemeanor. Of course, it already is a de facto misdemeanor; we only call the cops after a burglary because we have to have their report to make an insurance claim.

Anonymous said...

First JPD cruiser I’ve seen in months and I live in Jackson albeit within the CCID. Will Chokwe further decimate JPD now that he doesn’t have anything else to do? He has dismantled all semblance of competent governance across the board. I’d like to be a fly on the wall in any room with insiders who know why his 6th DPW director since 2020 lasted all of 10 days.

Anonymous said...

Just further indication of how marginalized and demoralized JPD has become. What happened to concurrent jurisdiction? Chokwe’s prob all up in the minutiae of JPD. Wonder how long the new chief will last? He almost sounded like he wanted to do some policing when Chokwe first introduced him. Or did he know that he’d immediately be sidelined because Chokwe micromanages JPD?

Law enforcement should NEVER pursue at high speeds. You see so many cases where they basically follow someone I guess waiting on them to run out of gas or wreck. I don't want myself or a member of my family or anyone else for that matter to be killed or crippled by someone running from the cops. It doesn't matter if it's for shoplifting of quadruple homicide.

Kingfish said...

No problem with your stance. If that quadruple killer gets away and kills more people because the police wouldnt chase him, then you have no problem forfeiting your family, right?

Anonymous said...

I agree KF.

I am curious how 8:48 would feel about no chase jurisdictions if the criminal who fled a robbery killed their kid later that day in a shootout.

I'd bet they'd be big mad at the police who did not pursue him then.

Maybe we can all agree that if your loved one is going to be killed based on whichever choice the LEO makes, we will always emphatically wish he had selected the other and nothing will ever be good enough when its our loved one that dies.

Anonymous said...

The people who don't pull over for sirens are certainly more at risk of injury than those who do. I suppose those same people also don't seek cover when lightening bolts are striking all around them. The odds of injury from either are probably similar.

Anonymous said...

Thugs run from the law because they can always depend on people complaining about the cops chasing them when they break the law. Especially if it isn't their stuff he stole and if he was not their relative? Does anyone think this is the first time the thief has stolen something? Does anyone think if the law would just stop chasing the thief he would quit stealing?

If cops would catch more criminals there would be less criminals. I know that is hard for the people in Jackson to understand. Maybe Stokes can come up with an idea like he did about making it against the law to shoot a person who was on their way to a hospital.

Anonymous said...

@7:54 PM - the car was stolen!

Anonymous said...

@3:08 - It's laughable even coming from the mouth of that fat, ignorant, mouth-breathing lunatic. A safe zone. Motherfucker, focus on what it takes to turn the city into a safe zone. Five-mile radius of a hospital being a safe zone validates unlawful activity everywhere else outside of it in the minds of these criminal pieces of shit. Jesus Christ.

Anonymous said...

12:35 & 6:41 Leave Jesus out of it unless you are praying. Jesus too turned over the tables when sinners turned their backs on him. Most all pursuits especially in Arkansas &.neighboring states where people refuse to obey direct orders of LEO are felonies most times. K-9’s hit upon just walking up to vehicles & sit down immediately. Large drugs, kidnapped victims & murders are just a few of the issues. Police Do Not suit up each day hoping to get into a chase putting their lives & innocent people in danger. If you don’t need or want help of law enforcement or emergency person the. Take care of your family yourself. Do not call fire department, ambulance or any LEO next time.I for one Appreciate all they do so we can enjoy the last days on earth!

Anonymous said...

Doesn't the councilman know there is already a law that says you should not shoot another person no matter where they are? Or have they passed a city law letting people shoot other people as long as they are not in the restricted zone?

Anonymous said...

In all fairness to Mr. Stokes, he is proposing an "enhancement" to existing penalties for shooting near a hospital. He knows that it's already a crime to shoot somone.

Anonymous said...

The mayor and Pastor Pickett have destroyed this city with their fleet of criminals they support. It’s truly sad. God help us if he wins the Senator race he is running for.

Anonymous said...

Wow - that's an awful lot of resources dedicated to arrest someone for stealing (some probably) worthless shit from someone's garage... High speeds on narrow streets with unskilled drivers is a recipe for disaster, they were lucky they hit or kill anyone.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
