An Israeli study reports vitamin-D deficient patients suffer worse Covid-19 symptoms and are at a higher risk of hospitalization if infected with the virus.
The study took place between April 7, 2020 and February 4, 2021 in Israel. The mean age was 63.3 years. The peer-reviewed study covered 253 patients. The study stated:
Of 1176 patients admitted, 253 had records of a 25(OH)D level prior to COVID-19 infection. A lower vitamin D status was more common in patients with the severe or critical disease than in individuals with mild or moderate disease. Patients with vitamin D deficiency (<20 ng/mL) were 14 times more likely to have severe or critical disease than patients with 25(OH)D ≥40 ng/mL...
Covid-19 patients over 50 suffered worse vitamin D defiency as well as Covid-19 symptoms than those under 50. The study reported one curious feature.

We don’t care about no Israeli study
Shhhh.. don't let Dobbfauci hear this....you insurrectionist, denier, misinformation.
Next you will be using a John Hopkins study or something...or one of 472 studies on a horse worm medicine...JUST SHUT UP! you are killing people!!!!
6:11 is the guy who gets all his medical knowledge at deer camp. Since the season just ended, he's shit out of luck until next fall.
Some people are open to ALL protocols that may offer benefits, while others only follow what their "group" says to follow. That being said, if you're of the former type, take a look at FLCCC's updated Covid protocols. In it, they've adjusted their Prevention / Early Treatment protocols to reflect the new Israeli reports and others they've noted. It provides a recommendation on how much Vitamin D3 one should take, as well as other supportive substances.
Google FLCCC for info. If their recommendations don't appeal to you, don't follow them. If they do, then fine. That's the way the world used to consider most information until about 24 months ago.......
Health impact news is very interesting about the shots
I've been hearing this since like May of 2020 but it's just now being confirmed? Sheesh
Also, zinc and vitamin c
Pfizer’s income doubled. Check out their financials.
For almost 2 years, I’ve been taking Vitamins D3 and C plus Zinc, plus vaccine and booster. Haven’t gotten Covid yet.
7:26 - As with SEC football, there's a bandwagon comin' round every couple of weeks. We can jump off this one and jump on that one. We can even get slogans for our bumpers and change them according to the direction the wind blows.
Meanwhile, it's all guesswork this early in the game. That ought to be obvious as routinely and often as the rules, suggestions, purported findings and so called analyses have rolled out. The only definitive answers will be recorded historically. We don't have them now.
But, back to the sports analogy...'We' might have dealt more appropriately with this Covid thing had it not become a political football.
Years ago my Orthopedist put me on Vit D 5000IU Q day prior to doing my joint replacement(s). Been on it since along with 1 Multivitamin twice daily along with Calcium/Magnesium. Haven't had Covid and don't know if it helped with that. I'm sure one of you matchbox MD's know, but I'll be signing off for now. 69 yoa by the way and not vaccinated.
Here we go again, Covid and the end of mankind.
Hm. People with more-robust immune symptoms have less trouble with viral illness than those with less-robust immune systems. Doctors and others with training, education, and experience are not shocked and it isn't new or revolutionary information. You are much less likely to die being shot with a .45ACP if you are shot in the toe rather than between the eyes. You are also less likely to die from being shot between the eyes with a wad of toilet paper lightly puffed from a drinking straw than being shot in the toe with poisoned dart. Context is often everything...if you have the education, training, and experience to understand it. If not...not.
@8:34pm - Same, and me either. /highfive
Every man who ever lived to be 100 had, at some time, ingested carrots, cheese and orange juice. Therefore, in order to live to be 100, you must add those three to your diet.

6:11. Nice try but you should know that the ability to recognize sarcasm around here is as scarce as common sense.
Pleeeease lockdown again!
As a Federal employee, I would love another 6 month taxpayer funded work from home vacation. The last lockdown barely made up for Trump forcing us to work without pay for several months.
We knew this within months of the first Covid wave, yet did you hear the CDC or NIH telling you to supplement with vitamin D? It's criminal the info they withheld from the public. Odd that all of these old members of Congress didn't die from it, uh?
Easy to fool somewon but hard to admit you were fooled, the latest is vitamins & natural immunity last 4 or 5 times longer than experimental vaccine with no injuries and deaths.
You’re gonna die anyway.
Is there a vaccine to prevent humans from dying, period?
Translation: God’s rapping Lil Wayne “Lollipops” lyrics in Heaven: “Bring that ass back. Bring that ass back.”
Everybody wants to go to Heaven but afraid to die because they know in their hearts they will 🔥 in Hell, and rightfully so.
Hey, I've got a novel idea. How about just live relatively healthy lifestyle. Eat reasonably well, maintain a healthy weight, get adequate sleep, stay hydrated, take a multivitamin, get some exercise, etc. I had the first covid variant back in mid-2020 and omicron recently, and neither was terrible. If we weren't a nation/state of morbidly obese folks, then this whole covid thing wouldn't be that big of a deal.
Duh. We smart ones have known since the get go that a healthy immune system is a really good thing. And we smart ones also know what the body needs to get there ! It's a damn sad shame that we have lost 3 years of our lives so the greed ravaged government could lump us smart ones with the sickly.
@8:57AM
Burn baby burn!!!
@8:57
A lot of American “food” is banned as poison in the First World. Which we aren’t any longer if you haven’t noticed.
Can anyone find a study that DOESNT confirm that Vitamin D3 is absolutely essential to a well-functioning immune system? Quite the tell that Dobbs STILL hasnt provided Mississippians with ANY preventative and early treatment protocols. Nothing. Laughable, yet criminal.
This is simply a garbage study. It proves nothing. Vitamin D has bee correlated with all sorts of things (cancer, heart disease, bad pregnancy outcomes, etc.) and the proof of the pudding is a prospective trial showing these adverse clinical conditions are actually mitigated or eliminated with adequate vitamin D. And those studies are all zero in effectiveness.
"The last lockdown barely made up for Trump forcing us to work without pay for several months. February 7, 2022 at 7:39 AM"
Really? Please remind the group when Trump forced anybody to work without pay? I might suggest the level of your productivity would require that you 'toil' without pay.
Women are routinely instructed by their ObGyn doctors to take at least 2000 IU of vitamin D3 per day to protect bones and heart. I've been taking a D3 supplement for several decades and bumped the dose up to 4000 IU per day in March 2020. Perhaps a major reason why women survive Covid better than men is because we have been taking D3 supplements for a very long time.
I also eat a lot of sardines, tuna and mushrooms, all good sources of vitamin D.
As I think back on med school, I am reminded of being in a college football huddle. So many people I didn't see in either location, and yet, so many people speaking with a knowledge and experience those of us there obviously know they can never possess. "We" - collectively - didn't win shit...well, unless, you were in either of the former groups as opposed to the latter groups. At least a general contractor did participate and facilitate even if he or she didn't drive a single nail. Plus, he or she likely knew the trades. But when some idiot without the slightest medical training or experience says, "(insert nonsensical shit here)," well...here we are.
