The Ridgeland Police Department issued the following statement.
This morning, units responded to 911 calls in reference to shots fired near the intersection of Ridgewood Road and County Line Road in Ridgeland. Responding officers met with a subject who advised that he was leaving Beyond Therapy in Ridgeland where he was involved in a disagreement in the parking lot with the shooter and a female driver of the suspect vehicle which was described as a silver sedan.
Both parties reportedly left Beyond Therapy and turned south onto Ridgewood Road. As the two parties turned west onto County Line Road the male suspect fired several shots from the passenger seat of the silver sedan in the direction of our victim; no one was injured in the assault.
Investigators promptly responded and began interviewing witnesses and gathering any evidence available.
The driver was quickly identified as Lillian Johnson, age 22, of Jackson; Johnson is now in custody for Accessory After the Fact to Aggravated Assault. Larry Knight, age 25, of Jackson, was also taken into custody. Knight has been identified as the shooter and is charged with Aggravated Assault. Both suspects were arrested in Jackson at the Forest Ridge Apartments, on Beasley Road. They will be held without bond until they are brought before a Ridgeland Municipal Judge.
Special thanks to the Jackson Police Department for their cooperation in the arrests.
Kingfish note: Larry pleaded guilty to business burglary in April in Hinds County Circuit Court. Judge Faye Peterson sentenced him to serve one year in prison but suspended the sentence and placed him in non-adjudicated probation.

Isn't she special? ;-)
Isn’t that a kids therapy place? Is this some baby momma drama?
Are Westbound lanes Madison county and eastbound lanes hinds county? If so, so close to getting another blessing.
Judge Peterson is horrible. Thanks for perpetuating the cycle, Faye!
Looks like this bunch is "Beyond Therapy."
544, not necessarily. They are at places, but at places all are in Hinds and at others all are in Madison. There are a few places here the median actually may be the county line.
Probably too bad for the perps that Mayor Yak-a-lot's $20 million "under bridge to nowwhere" was not completed. Had it been they might could have made that trip across from East to West a couple of minutes quicker and evaded the Ridgeland PoPo for three or four minutes
Larry and Lillian, ain’t no Bonnie and Clyde, just two pieces of boo boo pie. Judge Peterson the pie maker!
It’s a physical therapy joint
Missed a Hinds blessing by 25-feet.
When you compare the Real Crime numbers vs population, Meridian Mississippi is More dangerous. Plus the Police DONT WANT TO CATCH THEM. The Previous Part Time Municipal Judge (Just fired by newly elected Council) would often drop Serious Charges because the City is broke. It survives solely on Grant's. Corruption is rampant. If someone is shot. They may ask for tips, but wont release video.
But when it comes to Revenue generation, the part time Judge would do everything to recover fines. In 2019, he sentenced a man to 2 days jail, not at the Meridian Jail, the Lauderdale County Jail or the Private Prison at Chunky, just outside of meridian.
Instead he sent him to a Sheriff who runs a 2 county regiona Jail/prison 40 miles away ...maybe because the state had cut the number of inmates being sent there, at ome time was only 1/3 full.
Also In part because he is also Part time Municipal Judge in 2 small towns there who make a killing on Casino & MS State student ticket money. These aren't ordinary town Police officers. The Town boards gave every Officer, almost all of them part time, the Same authority as as a deputy Court Clerk. Legally they can assign & collect fines, set bond & collect bond, all on the side of the road. And if you dont want a reckless driving ticket on your record (Radar not allowed) . You can pay in CASH, without paperwork.
Anyway, this Judge (also involved in the National CBS 48 hrs episode on the deliberately botched Murder?, Ruled Suicide immediately in 2014 without any investigation and by a temporary Police Chief. The Christian Andreacchio story). Not even the new DA (whose legal residence was in Georgia, and received homestead Exemptionin Georgia, appointed by Phil Bryant would touch it after the long term DA recused himself & immediately retired...Jim Hoods AG office did nothing, nor Lynn.)
But instead of this prisoner being released after serving his 2 day sentence, he was kept illegally for 50 more days, then suddenly moved into solitary confinement and supposedly hung himself 14 minutes later.
Just to give context, there have been many escapes after which prison employees suddenly resigned. The main maintenance man is a former Inmate/murderer who served 15 years, much of it there, for killing his wife.

You do realize Kingfish has for several years been a large Peterson cheerleader. Don't look for him to call this one in advance.
