Some thieves stole a golf cart in Northeast Jackson as the neighbor watched.
Needless to say, the victim was not too happy. The suspect vehicle is a new model white King Ranch Ford. The first three letters of the license plate are AKA and the last number is a "5". There were three masked men and at least one toted a firearm. The victim said the neighbor in the video ignore the robbery while he checked his mail.
Make no mistake, no reasonable person expects the neighbor to try to stop the robbery in progress. However, one hopes he called 911. Of course, the robbers were so brazen, he may not realize it was a robbery.

Thug Rule in Jackson
He even had it chained up.
Skee Wee about to go through some things.
Trick or Treat MF!
Not that hard to find the truck. How many King ranch trucks have an Alpha Kappa Alpha affinity plate that starts and ends with a five?
@8:18 That assumes the plate belongs to the truck. People robbing in armed gangs are probably not above a little tag fraud. Hinds county tags on trucks be spensive yo.
8:18, this is Jackson, so if they can't figure out water billing, they probably can't blood trail this tag.
Thieves should be executed.
I have no sympathy whatsoever.
They should have left years ago.
If they are new, they did'nt do any research before they moved into Jackson.
Those Jackistan thugs don't own that truck...they stole it.
They left the bolt cutters behind. How are they supposed to earn a living with bolt cutters?
8:18. That shouldn’t be too hard to trace the tag
But I’ll bet the truck owner will be reporting it as stolen!
That is NOT a newer model KR Ford Truck. That tailgate style changed about five years ago, perhaps six.
As for me...if I were the neighbor, I probably would not assume (either) that a masked man with bolt cutters backing into my neighbor's driveway was a thief. He probably worked for the golf-cart repair place and was just picking up. I'd just check the mail and whistle on back to the house.
It's not a "robbery," it's merely a theft. The neighbor deserves all the security he is willing to provide himself, and his neighbor.
How about this, call the cops, take a cell phone picture, shout out, "hey Willie, howsaboy?" Something. Anything.
Of course it's a stolen truck but I am willing to bet, based on the thieves' expertise, economy of movement, and general demeanor that the keys were left in it. If you stand for this kind of event without doing something -- not getting a gun and playing cop, but something -- then you are part of the problem.
They could not do this in my neighborhood. For sure. Not because we're vigilantes but we notice and somebody would drop a dime. Or something.
You can blame the cops, the judicial system, the general decline in morality but if you add all three of these fellows' IQs together you wouldn't be very smart. Think about it, three people are risking some kind of criminal conviction for what? One third of what a stolen golf cart brings. At some point or the other community involvement matters.
A curious thing. Golf cart keys are common keys within makers (i.e., EZ-Go, Club Car, etc.) and anyone with any experience with them knows that. These guys knew to bring bolt cutters but didn't know about the keys.
Some fine outstanding local taxpayer will be purchasing this golf cart at a bargain price (wink, wink) and look the other way. "It fell off a truck, right?" Thugs don't play golf, let alone count to 18.
Give these young duffers a break. The cart rental fees at CCJ are outrageous.
It's Jackson. Forget about it.
If you live in Jxn, outside of the Eastover and Sheffield Drive areas, you need to have easily stolen items much better secured. in Stankin Rankin, I leave my $20k SxS and $75k 4x4 in the driveway with the keys in the ignition, but you can't do that in Jxn.
What was wrong with my post suggesting no Jackson thug would leave a grill sitting there, unstolen?
Kingfish is squirming with radar once again. He needs to quit this prissy censorship thing.
looks like the same truck, trailer and gang that stolen the heaters from the porch of coffee shop in Fondren a couple months back.
Am I purchase the bolt cutters they left in the driveway? They so dumb. IQs in Jackson just getting lower for everybody. They might be just stealing it back from thief that stole from them.
Those are landscapers by the look of the trailer rack. I would start there first.
All these anti-Jackson comments kill me. The only conceivable crime prevention thing Madison has is the notion that criminals what, don’t want to drive an extra 6 miles past county line? No one steals your ATVs because they don’t like driving to the edge of the earth to get to your neighborhood. And neither does anyone else. And if there is some mystical crime prevention tool available to those living in upscale Madison and Rankin neighborhoods, it isn’t the product of anything these posters are doing. How you can be so elitist about something you don’t control is crazy to me.
I grew up a block away from there. What a shame. What a great area it was in which to grow up. Unfortunately, the west-to-east wave has finally arrived, and that area, too, is now under water.
Thankfully, several years ago, I had the presence of mind to put my family’s safety above the convenience of getting to work and being close to my kids’ schools, and I put Jackson in my tail lights. Turns out that was a prescient move, as it’s abundantly clear Jackson is lost and cannot be revived. The are no “leaders” left in Jackson who see acts like this as being a real problem, as that’s just the way their culture goes about their daily lives. Those of you who are “planted” and who are “not going to give in and let them run you out of Jackson,” I wish you the best, as you are fighting a completely lost cause. It’s nearly impossible to win against those with nothing to lose. I can only hope you’ll take a serious look at what’s happening and get out before you lose all of your property’s value, or worse, lose a life.
You have to really take a hard look at all that’s going on and ask yourself, what could really happen to turn things around? There just isn’t a realistic solution to this problem. While there are limited bright spots in the city, they, too, will get consumed, because the city has already reached the breaking point.
And that was a Weber grill they left sitting there! Them West-Jacktown boys be so stupid! Mom would have loved that as a Crimmus gift.
