The civil war raging between among the Hinds County supervisors continued today in Hinds County Circuit Court as District 2 Supervisor David L. Archie filed a notice if appeal.
Mr. Archie was the Vice-president and President-elect of the Board of Supervisors but the Board stripped him of both positions Monday.
The Supervisor claimed his 14th Amendment due process rights were violated. The notice is posted below. The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Faye Peterson. Attorney Terris Harris represents Mr. Archie.

The supervisors of Hinds County.
Fascinating to think how this might go considering the parties.
Expect orders of recusal from all 4 current judges and an appointment of a special judge by the High Court, and within a few weeks, this crap will be dismissed with the quickness. Martin Perkins has been suspended by the Bar, and now Terris Harris is the new dummy!
Only the lawyers win.
He should have called "My Friend, Richard Shorts"
As Richard has said, so many times, "One Call, That's All". If couldn't come to Richard, Then Richard would have come to him.
If Richard doesn't win the case...That's not going to happen.
@9:02 - Mr. Shorts handles car and truck crashes. Not train wrecks.
Put Archie's destructive energy to good use. Hold his hearings in deteriorated houses, he's shown the belligerence of a bulldozer wrecking his area of melt down.
Serious question. Does the Vice-President of the Board of Supervisors have any more powers than a regular member of the Board of Supervisors? I guess I can understand "prestige," but is there any other benefit?
What an idiot.
Awesome. Did you know that the OXFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT is teaching CRT ? Whelp, they are. Panorama Education has a contract with OXFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT. This company is owned by Merrick Garlands Son in Law. So if yoU have kin folk up there in the OXFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT.........
What a bunch of absolute clowns.
8:38, no power at all, other than to run the meeting when the president is absent. Traditionally, the VP is deemed "president elect" but the BOS doesn't have to install him as president next year.
The truth of the matter is that the president has no more power than the other supervisors. He/she just runs the meetings. Its an ego thing.
Wrong, 11:39! If you've paid even minimal attention, you'd know 'He who holds the gavel has the voice'.
A gavel, unrestrained, is not unlike a Gatlin Gun on auto.
So glad they're getting shit done over there. Now, just need to get County shit done for the people.
Yeah 9:59 my grandkids go to school in Oxford and they are much better off for learning history.
