Want something different to listen to? Prepare yourself for a little band called Nightwish.
Start with Ghost Love Score. A drummer tees off by playing Alex Van Halen's style better than Alex. After some serious licks starts an instrumental lead-in that has shades of For Whom the Bell Tolls back in Seattle 89. After four minutes of musical perfection, out from the shadows strides a 6-foot tall Valkyrie belting out an aria of rock that washes over the senses. Some call her Floor Jansen but you may call her the Queen of Metal. Meet Nightwish. Lita Ford, eat your heart out. No pre-programmed music, no drum machines, no autotuners, and damn sure none of those bubble-pop Swedish songwriters that have ruined music in America. Did I mention the band writes some pretty creative lyrics? It's symphonic metal and it takes metal up to another level. Be careful about watching any reaction videos for this song. You might wind up going down a rabbit hole from which you may not return.
Fix a drink, put on some headphones or buds, and jam.
The band sells out arenas and outdoors festivals in Europe. Unfortunately it is forced to play small, House of Blues type venues in America as symphonic metal never really made it big in the states. We like our rap and preprogrammed bubble pop just a little too much.
Did someone mention reaction videos? There are a plethora of voice teachers dissecting the band's videos. Floor might have had just a wee bit of classical training.

Now this is my kinda content! You gotta listen to the original ghost love score with tarja though to get the best version. Floor is a great singer as well though. Also check out epica. Floor and mark jansen (not related) were both in band together back in the day called after forever but he left to start epica. Sadly the male vocalist of nightwish marco hietla just left. The album once has ghost love score on it and was last one before tarja was kicked out.
No sir. Maybe it’s because I listened to this early am but this sounds like a bad cover of a Heart song by Opeth with the lead singer of Evaesence making a cameo. Meaningless lyrics. You out the thought in my head KF but makes me want to hear Jamie’s Cryin
Everyone’s reaction to that final note is called a Floor-gasm. Also recommend her Beste Zangers performance of Phantom of the Opera and Epica’s Sancta Terra featuring Floor.
I love it. Sounds like you merged Metallica and Trans Siberian Orchestra

@8:58 forgive my spelling Nazi jab but an earlier post set me in that frame of mind ha ha...you meant Atheists?
Each of us will give an account...
Check out “I Wish I Had An Angel”
No one plays "alex style" drumming better than Alex. You should be ashamed of yourself. Like the music tho. Thanks for posting
That's a nice wall of sound. I will point out that nobody is wearing a mask.
Reminds me of Iron Maiden. She's way hotter than Bruce Dickinson.
DAMN! They ARE good! Thanks, Kingfish!
Love me some Tarja_Turunen.
Best band ever from Finland.
Fist discovered the band about 7 years ago when it came up in my Phantom algorithm.
Disagree with the first comment. Just listened to the Tarja version. Floor has a better chest voice for the lower notes.
Tarja's upper range is simply phenomenal.
