Legislators are taking their masks off in their small offices as soon as someone sits down with them for a meeting. Ditto for meetings between legislators in the halls. That needs to STOP 🛑! The Leaders need to enforce the rules.
Boy, legislators sure are sensitive-
Looks Like Delbert was right.
Should have paused and come back in March.
and in other news, seasonal flu has been completely eradicated. how, no one knows.
And this means what to us.....
Remember to take your Dayquil, Tylenol, drink lots of fluids (non-alcoholic type, sorry) and rest some. That's right, you guys are in the legislature, you rest all of the time.
Who cares
" committee meetings will be conducted via Zoom" .
To quote the old 1970's PBS kid's show ZOOM intro ( that came on on after "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company")
"We're gonna zoom zoom zoom ah zoom" .
I'm sure a couple of old farts will remember that show.

Zoom....made me hate pastels for life.
The ratio of legislators getting this crap is a lot higher than the commoners. But they still think they know what’s best. Explains a lot of the mess we are in.
This exchange is hilarious. What a mixed bag of nuts.
Why is this even news? Take off your mask and catch Covid in the capital. Really should not be surprised. Except for the stupidity
Delbert now has the power to quarantine people. Dayum!
I hope Tate tells the legislature that if they don't meet in person then they don't get paid.
Oh wait, that was schools.
Will these legislators “meeting over Zoom” be getting their per dime? That’s what this is all about folks.
Everytime these characters drift thru town, I have the GREAT urge to keep my hand on my wallet
They need to quit being such sissies and get back to work like the rest of us. Those who are morbidly obese or suffering from other issues can check in via Zoom.
I would rather an old fashioned Dixie National wagon train slow down traffic for a few minutes at the High Street exit, than Jackson thugs shutting down I-55 to "burn rubber" while their skanks "twerk" for an hour.
How is this even legal? This is as bad as Pelosi using proxies to vote. Meet in person or delay the session. Something about a representative democratic process or something like that.
4:48 pm The seasonal flu hasn't been eliminated. Influenza B was the dominant strain last year. There were fewer cases reported but many of CV 19 negative tests that resulted in self-treatment at home or kept people away from doctors offices where they feared encountering someone with CV19 is unknown. That could have hidden ordinary flu strains.
What we do know for certain is that those of you who insisted on ignoring protocols have, as warned, been volunteer hosts for the newer, more contagious strains that have mutated. The early indications are that two of these are also more deadly.
It's hard to know "more deadly" for certain because of a strained medical system and lack of ability to test due to being otherwise occupated.
Some of you seem not to have ever appreciated that getting enough scientific information about a NEW virus takes time and early results are always tentative indicators. So, you use early leads that didn't pan out as reasons not to take this seriously rather than appreciating that science has to eliminate causes to find causes in the beginning.
Denmark is tracking better and is a better source of information. Yes there are English translations. If you only would read rather than be spoon fed information that is less or not at all reliable.
We have done a lousy job of testing, tracing and getting our scientific community ahead of the game. The problem is those in political charge didn't understand science or math and/or didn't understand the experts or caved to political pressure.
Really, they just didn't read the manual for epidemic response that laid out in simple English what measures bureaucracies of government needed to take.
Some of you seem to think being able to do simple car part replacements or repairs qualifies you to be a NASCAR mechanic. OR you got by on Cliff Notes and short term memorization in high school or college.
What those in charge didn't know or bother to learn in their elected offices is killing us...literally and needlessly.
Maybe if we put Gold Stars in the windows or Purple Hearts for those with lasting physical damage, you'd get it. We have exceeded our WWII deaths and that generation got what personal sacrifices were needed for war. They didn't scream about their " rights" when it came to rationing food, gas, oil, metals and rubber for weapons production or making do with old clothing so textiles could be used for uniforms and bandages or horrors, buy guns.
No person quarantined for yellow fever, small pox, polio, or TB complained , but YOU don't care about anyone but yourself and your pleasures.
GROW SOME or get the HELL out of the way so those who know what they are doing, can do what needs doing!
You have the right to an idiotic, poorly obtained opinion but don't imagine in expressing it , you do other than make your shortcomings obvious.
