A shooting took place at UMMC last night in front of garage "B".
Nelgen Wilson allegedly got into an altercation with another person. Sitting in his car, Wilson shot the victim. Wilson got out of his car, shot the victim again, and left UMMC. He returned to and turned himself in to UMMC police. He was charged with aggravated assault and discharging a weapon. The victim is a contract worker at UMMC.

Let me guess, a carry over from last night's Canton McDonalds Massacre . . . or perhaps the normal
Jackson, Mississippi chicken wing or cell phone argument.
And before any liberal has a heart attack, chicken wings and cell phones are a documented cause of many of the senseless murders in Jackson.
This way the victim can walk to the trauma center, thus saving the taxpayers from paying for that free ambulance ride.
5:28 great analogy!🚑
I was in UMMC ER, & was hurting so much from a MVA that I thought I was going to die. While in the ER, a fight broke out in the ER & Someone pulled a gun. Luckily they really didn't want to shoot anyone & from what the nurses told me, UMMC security let them leave. I had other concerts the next couple of days in ICU, but I don't think it even made the news. That was 10 years ago.
I've never seen KF so late to a story before...
If hell gets too full, I recommend Satan use the emergency waiting room at UMMC. I cannot imagine hell being any worse than being sentenced to sit in that room forever on a perpetual Saturday night.
" UMMC security let them leave" .
Yeah, let it spill out on to North State Street and then JPD will have to deal with it.
At the same time, (two blocks away) St. Dominic's security arrested two people for smoking cigarettes
in their parking garage.
St.D Security officials said they confiscated one pack of Marlboro Lights (in a box)
and two soft packs of Kool menthol 100's.
October 23, 2020 at 3:17 PM - While your story is no doubt fabricated, it does remind me of the actual difference between Canton and Madison law enforcement. Or, for that matter, of the difference between Ridgeland and Jackson law enforcement.
