Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Kenneth is asking for it, he might just get it.
The State of Mississippi might should take over the failure of the City and its leaders (including Kenneth 'Boo Boo' Stokes).
Because the City will not do their job, the major one being to prioritize the spending so that instead of funding festivals on Farrish Street and other such operations they put it into the basic functions of water, sewer, fire, police, then the City can get what long-term Councilman Stokes is asking for. The state should TAKE OVER the water/sewer department, control the billing and spending, and take care of the maintenance.
As Stokes says, the City is unwilling to do its job, so therefore in order to protect the health and safety of the citizens of the State, then the State should kick them out of their authority and do it for them.
And while you are at it, don't stop short of where Governor Phil did - take over the failing Public School system as well.
Its not the state's job to fix what Stokes is claiming - it is the city's sewer system; the city collects the fees to operate the system; and the city is to maintain the system. That's what ALL the other cities in the state do within their borders but they don't have the incompetent folks in their City Halls. But since Stokes is more interested in making sure his buddies get to hold their parades, celebrate their homecomings, rename their streets, and all the other wasteful crap that he does at each city council meeting that he bothers to attend - then the State DEQ, working with their federal partners that already have a consent order filed against the city, should act on that consent decree and take over the system. Then Kenny can get his 'prosperity street problem' solved. And the taxpaying citizens of Jackson can get their problem of an incompetent leadership solved in the same fell swoop.
Wonder how he feels about Antard dropping $6,000,000 to purchase a collection of zoo animals?
Hey, hey, hey.
Well, he just might get what he’s asking for! COJ, you should be on the lookout for citations, fines, and loss of federal funds. Lawsuits will follow after these agencies hold the COJ liable for any and all identified contamination findings. In short, “Yo people will surely sue yo ass!”
Mississippi should be absorbed by surrounding states and dissolved.
It’s a debtor state with no future without federal money.
He should call the City of Pearl and find out how they are keeping their aging infrastructure maintained. It must be some sort of top secret info. We've been blowing water lines all over town for the last two years. Somehow, City of Pearl employees get shit done. The boil water notices seem to last longer than the breaks.
Not trying to be a smart a** but it’s a City sewer system and you’ve been a City Councilman for years and years, how are you not to blame? It’s a horrible problem, but seems like a City Councilman could fix a COJ problem. I’m missing something?
If only there were a way for him to vote for funding to repair the public works infrastructure.
He's absolutely right that the good people on Prosperity Street deserve better.
But it's not a federal, state, or county issue.
Sewage is the responsibility of the city of Jackson--he needed to stand in front of City Hall. And he needs to bring it up at City Council meetings.
The state needs to step in and hire a city manager (get the guy who did wonders in Detroit..) and clean house. Schools, water/sewer, roads, crime, zoo...all of it.
Isn't going to happen..
I thought he was on the city council?
The sewage in on city streets. The sewage is from the city of Jackson.
What the hell is the problem?
Y'all saying that Kennuf might just get what he wants need to realize that he has already gotten it...more facetime on camera! That is his biggest goal in life.
6:33. Give it about 6 more months and check on Louisiana a neighboring state that you want to absorb Mississippi. Watch
It’s official. We have entered The Twilight Zone.
Why stop there? Just go straight to the White House with your pink sign. It’s at the top of the food chain. While you’re at it, go to the Chinese embassy in dc to protest. Then file a suit blaming them for all our problems like you did during the spring floods when you sued the Pearl River authorities for opening the spillway. China opened the covid spillway.
Seriously kennuf, you and liberal buddies better get ready to deal with a budget with much lower sales tax revenues. We just might make conservatives out of y’all yet.
Wonder if Jackson will stay a sanctuary city now that locals are competing with illegals for work. Hey Mayor, you willing to continue to speak up for illegals when actual Jacksonian's are desperate for work? Asking for lots of friends who are actual taxpayers and voters.
It’s a shame that his mouth wasn’t paralyzed as we were promised.
Where does it end? Prosperity street is not the only place in Jackson where public works has completely broken down. In his own backwards way Kenny has made the admission the rest of the city council can only shuck and jive about. They cannot manage the city's basic problems. Yes, it's a lack of money. Is that an excuse? They can't even manage the money they have. Let the state appoint a manager and fund the repairs. It would be better, it would.
All Kennuf knows how to do is protest. He is not part of the solution, he is a major part of the problem. He comes up with all these wild, off the wall ideas which only prove that he is full of the same stuff that is running down Prosperity Street. Looks like the voters in his ward would wake up and vote his fat a$$ out.
Fun Fact! You get the government you vote for!
Until the voters wake up & vote him out nothing will change.
9:14 You must remember that the voters in his ward do not expect results, they gave up on that years ago. They only want someone to make noise, a human siren. Kenny has got the job.
@9:14 You are correct, however all his voters (*cough*wink*) see is his fat a$$ on tv talking, they're to ignorant to know any better.
He keeps getting elected.
So the city owns the sewer system, sends customer monthly sewer bill, collects said money, then spends said money (with Stokes’ vote) on bogus crap. Then wants somebody else to fix it. The sewer repair and maintenance should be done from the sewer rate base. That is utility business 101. Stokes is the stupidest individual I’ve ever seen. Or maybe the smartest preying on the stupidest constituency.
If Stokes, the COJ or Hinds County think the State is going to have money to fund the projects they want after COVID 19 lock down is over...they honestly don’t have a clue and should just step down.
Stokes would do better for his constituents by promoting a bankruptcy management takeover scenario of the City. He is one of the prime reasons that the business and residential taxpayer base has declined so badly over the years. Get Lamumbalot to slice out some of that $90 mil to fix the sewer lines on Prosperity St Kennuf! Where’s the money? Thought the City would be in high cotton by now the way it was talked up on the news.
That Other fella, the one recording it states, the State of MS is responsible b/c they arent paying ?
I was in the "mid-town" section of Jackson today for work. My first time back in the area after living there 30 years ago. I thought it was bad back then. Damn third world country level. Downright embarrassing. But given the level of leadership in the city, I'm surprised it wasn't worse.
I made it out alive, so I've got that going for me.
Speaking of COVID-19.....that it is present in the poop is also a national story........why is that not being talked about?
This is a protest for city hall, not the governor's mansion.
KENNETH, do not stop there, go to the White House and protest there. that's where the REAL money comes from. After that fails go to the Vatican and protest there. They got REAL money. Never, never, look in the mirror.
hes protesting the fact he doesn’t do his job!
and is that enoch next to him??
Where can I buy one of those Stokes hats?
I have no respect for Kenneth Stokes.
That said, I have no respect either for those of you who criticize Jackson without a clue about why these problems exist... aging, neglected infrastructure much older than oh, Pearl's (who had none for a long time). Nor do you know anything about city finance and the laws that limit how some dollars are spent.
It's not just that you don't know or bother with details that I've lost respect, it's that you don't intuitively understand why many States help support their large cities...especially their capitol!
"Help" is not synonymous with " takeover". Help empowers; takeover is a power grab. A lack of help makes a power grab easier. As some small business owners and the formerly employed will soon discover.
If only you would stop "cutting off your nose to spite your face", Mississippi might could begin to prosper and grow rather than lose population.
Looks like some raw sewage developing on Capitol Street. Would love for the State to takeover the racist city council and take Jackson back from the “victims”.
What happens every time somebody tries to help Jackson. They rise us say its racism and they trying to take control of our city. These clowns cant run a city that not racism I cant run a city either. I mean millions have been collected on the special 1% sales tax. shouldn't we see something by now
@8:52 did you get a righteous buzz from that comment?
Kennuf,
Have your minions gather up all those rocks they are saving up to throw at the police and use them to plug up the leaky sewage areas
I went to Wal-Mart and they were out of "Stokes" hats. Is Spike Lee planning a new movie, "Stokestown" about Kenneth? It should rival the "X" movie Spike did on Malcolm X that sold a lot of hats.
I do have a question. Do the state offices downtown pay water bills? If no, then I can see where the state may should help out some. If they do, then screw them, they squandered the money on frivolous stuff and now want the state to pay for it. I don't see the councilman in NE Jackson saying the same about the raw sewage spewing out. Come to think of it, I don't see much of that councilman for any reason.
The job of mayor and city council is to maintain infrastructure, provide a safe living environment, and maintain financial solvency. The city of Jackson fails in al categories while those able to are moving out daily. I hope the governor ( now a Jackson inhabitant) tells stokes what he can do with this mess he has created. It might not hurt for Stokes to cut down on his caloric intake.
Jackson city council haven't been doing their job, now they complain about other people doing their job.
He needs to protest the Cholesterol and Carbohydrates
April 22, 2020 at 8:52 AM,
You're a regular poster here, so you know better than to go off-topic.
I live in NE Jackson and I can assure you the voters over here would live to see stokes out of power. Of course we are closer to flowood than his ward.
Government buildings do pay water and sewer bills like anyone else. However government buildings and residential customers don’t pay sales tax on the water sales. Only commercial uses pay sales tax on the water sales.
I want a Stokes cap.
Im more than certain Flowood would welcome eastover area as well as that Meadowbrook area off northside drive... huge tax base. Most of the physicians that practice in clinics in flowood live in that area of Jackson anyway. Beside huge number of Jackson prep kids live in that area as well.
For those who have been around a while, he has always been known as "BIG Silly"
I been laughing about this for 3 days.
