or when killing is a family affair
The Hinds County Catch & Release Program is very much alive. Exhibit A: Cardarow Harden, killer extraordinaire.
JPD arrested Harden in July 2025 for the 2024 murder of Marquiez Scott. The homicide took place near the intersection of Highway 80 and J.R. Lynch Sweet. Jackson Municipal Court Judge Lilli Bass set his bond at $1 million and transferred the case to Hinds County Court. The defendant is 34 years old.
The police allege Harden made the murder a family affair as his son, Cardarow Harden, Jr., participated in the murder as well along with Mario Brown. The Court gave a million dollar bond to Brown and $250,000 to Junior.
Harden has not been indicted for the homicide. The District Attorney's Office said it has not received the file from JPD even though he was arrested nearly a year ago.
Senior must have bonded out because JPD arrested him again yesterday. The police affidavit accuses Harden of killing Michael Cannon on October 5, 2025. Jackson Municipal Court Judge Jeff Reynolds denied bond for the defendant. Judge Reynolds' order states Harden "was already out on bond for murder" and is "an extreme danger to the citizens" of Jackson and Hinds County.
Kingfish note: Cannon was the son of Rene Shakespeare. She once served as Election Commissioner and co-hosted with me on WYAB several times.

A culture of murder, non-payment, and taking everything but responsibility.
Bro is 4’11” tall. At 170 pounds, how does he move his arms to actually kill someone? The murders must be because someone stole his lunch.
Ok but HOW are these people bailing out? Surely the bail bond companies don’t just give anybody that commits murder a million bucks? They’d certainly never see that money again! Can someone explain this to me?
More proof that the only thing the Democrat Purposeful Crime Party loves more than crime, are the criminals that commit the crimes. Crime is one of the tactics Democrats use to create the flight required to take over and keep control of cities like Jackson.
Another tactic the Democrat Purposeful Crime Party uses is teaming up with RINO’s like Madison County Stupervisor RINO Gerald Steen, backed by RINO Ridgeland Mayor Gene F. McGee.
Stupervisor RINO Gerald Steen, backed by RINO Ridgeland Mayor Gene F. McGee are responsible for Democrat Mike Espy landing the Madison County Board Attorney job. The same Mike Espy
that in 1994 resigned as Agriculture Secretary amid allegations that he accepted gifts;
that allegedly admitted to taking $750,000.00 in lobbying fees from the country “Ivory Coast” led by Laurent Gbagbo that faced allegations of murder, rape, and torture of political opponents and later charged with crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court; and
while hanging out with now convicts former Madison County Engineer Rudy Warnock and former Canton Aldermen Andrew Grant and Eric Gilkey, allegedly had a pair of boots purchased for him by Rudy Warnock.
When Madison crime rates spike like they always do after Democrats takes over, remember it was RINO Madison County Stupervisor Gerald Steen, backed by RINO Ridgeland Mayor Gene F. McGee that turned the county over to the Democrat Purposeful Crime Party.
It's been known for thousands of years: When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. >Ecc 8:11
If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim.

Stole his skittles.
And this is why the commie pinko lefties want to disarm everyone but the Marxist ruling class.
He's off to see the wizard.
Let me guess, Judge Johnnie McDaniels lowered his bond to $75K once the case was transferred to county court. Did I get it right?
Need a welfare check on 2:39 p.m. Tinfoil hat too tight.
@2:09 with the most succinct description I've ever heard
One would think that a new police chief would be taking stock of the status of pending felony arrests and asking hard questions.
What u talking about Willis?
3:09 for the daily win. Maybe monthly win. Maybe annual win.
Typical payment to a bondsman is 10% .The trouble with bail bonds is the bondsman will post $1 million bond and the defendant only has to give them a certain amount, and he gets them out of jail and then puts them on a payment plan. So what's the point of $1 million bond if a defendant can bond out with $5000 and then promise to pay that much every month. When society demands $1 million bond and the judge so orders, why do we give bail bondsman the power to defy that by not requiring that defendant to first post all of the cash or at least 10% of it.
I'm fine. The truth hurts - as it should.
JPD is the culprit in this story. Cases are frequently ineptly mishandled after an arrest downtown at booking, then not properly processed for prosecution. This according to a lawyer I know who is in Jackson Municipal and Hinds Court several times a month. Judges have no choice but to dismiss charges if the arresting JPD cop doesn't appear in Court to testify and proper processing isn't prepared and presented to prosecutor.
2:39pm Recklessly slanders Gene Magee, whom I have known and respected for about 40 years. He is a fine man who has taken Ridgeland from backward to forward to exceptional. I first knew him as the director of NEJSO, and manager of the soccer fields on Westbrook Road, in addition to being a leader and manager at AT&T.
He is professional and visionary which is why Ridgeland has reelected him 9 times since taking office in 1989. He deserves all of our respect for his selfless and honorable service to Ridgeland and Central MS. Any mayor would be well served to be inspired by Gene Magee.
Challenge: query any Ridgeland municipal employee about their respect for Gene Magee, Mayor Extrardinaire.
6:53 - I'm sure you are proud of Mayor Magee and the north side of County Line Road.
6:53 You are the same spineless softy that defends fellow spineless softy Roger Wicker on here right? We need men with balls to lead. I’m sure Gene is a nice guy but we need men that aren’t afraid to say the truth when it hurts. We need nice guys to run the nursing homes and the tough guys to lead the cities.
The sooner we, as a society, recognize that judges can be as problematic as criminals this sort of thing will continue. Some of the people wearing black robes need to held accountable.
@6:53pm - You have to understand that you’re talking to literal boot licking cultists. Anything they don’t like is “woke,” anything that helps people that don’t look like them is being a demonrat. You have to ignore these intellectual 5 year olds.
7:25pm
Magee has made steady and responsible progress for about 40 years in Ridgeland. I am proud to know him a little bit, absolutely. Horhn could learn a lot from Magee, but Horhn is a bureaucrat with no understanding or respect for private business, free enterprise or Capitalism. He believes in bureaucracy and getting grants from the State & Feds as an underlying economic source for city maintenance & improvements, a typical entitlement mindset.
8:07pm
I don't know Senator Wicker, have only voted for him because he is GOP because I despise Democrat prerogatives Magee gets things done efficiently and with aplomb to benefit Ridgeland families and businesses now and into the future.
Am I soft and spineless? I'm very fit for my age, very conservative politically, don't back down from physical confrontation from 6 years old on, if that is what you are challenging.
